what about us new players we want chocobo mount too, again SE fails at marketing

You can still get your GC chocobo. You just don't get your goobue or special chocobo. They've also advertised this for almost half a year.

October being a free to play is not conclusive from Yoshi's letter, that (F2P) info was directly given after the talk on reviving servers after November 11th - for the community to go on even though beta is in process (which per the only -true- conditions, from the official legacy lodestone page, state "pay 3 months before beta begins" - this all makes sense for October to be payed for as beta wont begin till servers are down in november).
May 31st is the guaranteed time to get Legacy if you are a new player - this was more of a 100% chance guide then a "only way to ever get it is this way". I talked to the customer service about this previously - whom responded "nothing past this given info is guaranteed, but is still possible".
HOWEVER, if you haven't payed any months thus so far - you definitely wont get it. If you are at two months you hinge on October - if you are at 1, there is no way unless some serious hell breaks lose.
Edit: SE reads these (I think.. lol) please be more constructive on how SE failed on marketing - you may be able to offer something useful. Telling them they did a bad job wont help them do anything though.. -

I don't care if this is a troll thread. It's the most recent thread about legacy; I don't want to necro or start a new one, so I'm putting this here:
For anyone curious, this last payment should get you Legacy if it is your third one. I just got my Legacy status today (Sept. 22). I bought and registered my game on June 24 this year (the very first day I stumbled upon anything about it-- I stopped keeping up with the game ages ago; I figured if it worked, awesome, if not, oh well. I wanted in on the story before/as it changed, and 2.0 still looked sweet); my first payment was July 24.
So, as long as you get that third payment on or before the Sept. 29 cut off (Announced Here), my guess is you should get Legacy (this is only based off my super late timing with my own). All of this was probably pretty obvious to everyone, but just in case anyone was unsure, I decided to share.
