Regarding the song on 2:25 - Everything Burns :

Looks decent I would say. Let's see how the content plays.
Kind of excited for doomtrain. I know it's a reference to a different FF game but I adore these 50/50 creepy/silly entities. Yes, please be intensely threatening while also giving 'i am not sure if i should laugh or scream'. Hope the fight is as fun as it looks.
Everything burns!
As a year long Rage against the machine fan I approve aggressively.
If the mount plays that music then I guess I have to do savage again now.
I like the deeper focus on Krile, about high time.
Loved the teamup of the previous Arcadion fighters. It makes it feel like those fights really mattered and does give each one a personality (kinda like the beast tribe culmination quests).
Last but not least we get more background to the key it seems, look forward to that.
Compared to the last trailer (which I found incredibly boring), this one actually made me interested.
Absolutely.
That man is a legend and a huge fellow nerd.
Message from Tom Morello with a sample of the track:

It's an absolute banger!
I like the look of this trailer! I had to watch it muted but I'll go back to it again when I can listen to the music. I really hope the final Arcadion tier has some cool glams!
Thats a /bgm 0 if ive ever heard one.
Its raid patch so maybe ill have something to do if i have the motivation this time around.
Theirs at least a decent amount of content, just how long it takes to come out is bugging me still lol.
I would be mad if the mount didnt play the song.
Stempunk gear set.
Magical girl weapon set.
Tom FUCKING Morello wrote a song.
This patch was made for me and me exclusively. My eardrums are not ready,
Did NOT expect for there to be a collab with Tom Morello. Super excited to hear the rest of the song!
This patch looks great!
If Everything Burns is the track for another Brute Bomber fight I will cry tears of joy
The lyrics make perfect sense
The music is cool as hell (it's giving me Metal Gear Rising vibes) and I love the glam changes but really this is all this patch has to offer me it seems. Even so, thanks to the glam changes I plan to NG+ 5.0 and 6.0 in style so I'll have those to keep me busy for a hot minute. I wish they'd commit to making OC more accessible so I could justify doing that content, but as the raid at the end is savage level difficulty I have zero interest. I wish the raid was more like the bozja ones.
I think the elezen dude is the president because his feral soul appears to be a Behemoth and that's the Arcadion's mascot. That would put him as the M12 fight, and surfer dudes are obvious M9 cuz Yoshi P always shows off the first fight of a tier, which means M10 and M11 are left. Third fights seem to somewhat frequently be a twist fight(E7, P11 come to mind) so I expect the elezen lady is M10, which leaves M11 as the big question mark, and bringing back Hector after he was "killed off" would be a twist worthy of hiding from promo material
Ah, you missed that the surfers were the previewed one in the Live letter, and that was Heavyweight M2. I figured that the president would be hidden thus thought Elezen dude is M9, Elezen Lady is M11, given I think she's the current Heavyweight Champ after Eutrope.
Oh they confirmed it to be M10 not M9? I watched the preview of the fight but assumed it was the first fight of the tier since all the previous previews were of the first tier..
I feel like all the clues point to the Elezen dude being the President. The Arcadion's mascot makes sense for the President's feral soul, and in the artwork he's shown opposite the WoL rather than included in the group photo of all the fighters
That's Fair. Given her speaking role in the trailer, that's what makes me think she's the champion over the dude. Either way, we have one fight missing and I feel Everything burns can only fit either the Elezen dude or the missing fight.
Also, dug up the intro cutscene from the LL just to make sure I wasn't talking out of my ass from something I watched at 1am, and yeah, 1:10:26 in the LL reveals it's M2. (I don't know how to paste images, lol.)
Honestly can't say. I don't often watch the LLs and I don't remember them during EW or the last two tiers. I want to say... probably not? I think it's just the most visually interesting arena with probably the most unique mechanics in the opening of the fight for normals, probably.
Can't wait for 7.4!
It's worth noting the special site has been updated to say that "Everything Burns" is the M12 fight theme.
"The fierce battle serving as the finale of the raid series is amplified by the original track "Everything Burns," written by two-time Grammy Award-winning guitarist Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, Prophets of Rage)! The hard-hitting, powerful sounds featuring Caleb Shomo (Beartooth) on vocals can be enjoyed in "AAC Heavyweight M4" and "AAC Heavyweight M4 (Savage).""
The reply above this one confirms that 'Everything Burns' is for the finale fight.
Which makes sense - it's fair to speculate that M12 will be where, as per the trailer, the stakes are high enough that the Arcadion fighters we fought previously join us in the fight.

Little wonder they'd want to keep 'Everything Burns' for a fight like that!
7.4 looks really good ngl. Looking forward to it!
The level of optimism feels a bit exaggerated right now, the copium has risen by three levels.
Some people genuinely believe a music collaboration alone is going to fix the overall state of FFXIV? Music is subjective, of course, and there’s nothing inherently wrong with rock but to me it doesn’t really give the Final Fantasy atmosphere, and sometimes it feels more like attending a concert than playing an MMORPG.
Each year, FFXIV seems to lean more into commercial-style collaborations, and that shift has changed the tone of the game for me. Whether these decisions come from Square Enix or the leadership team, it’s clear the game sold out and the direction has evolved a lot from what the game used to focus on. In an old interview when the old director for FFXI & FFXIV Tanaka transitioned to another company, he mentioned that the “heart” of the game had changed and that foresight has become a reality.
Personally speaking, that isn't what I got from it and it doesn't look like all of those who posted reaction videos did either.
For me it was seeing what direction the MSQ might be taking. Seeing the DoomTrain. Seeing the Arcadion fighters we previously fought/defeated apparently fighting alongside us. Yeah the music improves the impact of those scenes but there was enough going on in them that the soundtrack wasn't the be-all-end-all for me.
Anyway - I don't think it's 'copium' to enjoy the fact that the trailer appears to have been well received and players are actually saying they're looking forward to new content at last.
Looks like it'll be a great patch. I'm curious to learn what those destroyed cityscapes are. Very visually striking.
there have always been songs like this in raids. Weird thing to complain about.
Also people are just hyped for the content and the trailer, took them long enough to finally make a good trailer again.
Doom train is the first time in a long time that im hyped for an Extreme
There was a quirk in the English trailer where G'raha does not speak while he does in the other languages.
There's now speculation he's been recast in English as Jonathan Bailey's been kind of busy.
Possibly! I noticed that G'raha sounds notably tired since 6.55. His German actor, Marcus Off, is uniquely deep and grizzled, so I'm less inclined it's about the actor's actual voice so much as what Bailey can provide. I do agree Yuma's range fits G'raha better though.
Jonathan Bailey has always stated he adores G'raha and loves recording him, but the man has also always stretched himself thin with his roles the entire time he's worked on FFXIV (recording G'raha and audiobooks, performing stage musicals, Bridgerton, and now multiple movies) and said that he needs to take a break from acting in general after Wicked for Good and Jurassic Park.
It also could just be some weirdness with the trailer. It's not the first time!
