Normal Infrit in the Leveling Queue...

And of course Titan and Garuda as well. Why? Just why? They're not dungeons, they're raids. On top of that, they give basically zero XP. I got Ifrit just now and y'know what I got for my 10 minute wait in the queue and the couple minutes it took to kill .. on my lv77 BM that needs ~4.4 million exp to level ... Ifrit gave me 300 XP. Yea ok thanks game ....... seriously ... MOVE these to the Raid category .. or make them give at least a % of level or something. It's just pathetic that these are still in this queue in patch 7.

And yes, I'm well aware there are tons of other things that are probably more pertinent to be discussing but right now at least for me personally it's it because this just wasted some 15mins of my life O.o

I think that's a large part of why the roulette system exists in general, not only for these few trials, but if SE's is so bent on making sure early MSQ'ers get through the first raids with virtually no wait time they should at least give something to the poor saps who get stuck carrying the new players through this content. The "Main Scenario" roulette gives huge XP and a solid chunk of poetics for that exact reason, yet the poor unfortunate soul who wastes their time going into this Trial masquerading as a leveling dungeon gets nothing for their wasted time O.o

Why are you running Leveling Roulette for leveling?

The only roulette worth running more than once a day is mentor roulette for that achievement grind. All the other ones you just run once a day to get the daily bonus and anything after that is a waste. It's objectively most efficient to run whatever latest leveling dungeon you have access to rather than leveling roulette. The game is a bit misleading like that - it implies that roulette is *for* leveling, but in practice it's a roulette for 'leveling dungeons' and whether the dungeon you get into will be good for your current level or not is entirely up to chance (and wherever other people online are queuing for).

Tldr, it's there so that newbies who are doing msq can do it with other players in duty finder and since it's a four man unlike all the other trials, it got tossed into Leveling Roulette. Just be glad you got lucky and it's a 1 minute Ifrit fight rather than a full dungeon for practically same reward if you're high level.

They're not raids, but trials (though I suppose those are kinda the same thing nowadays) - and they're probably in there due to requiring four players. I don't really see a problem, besides the bosses being too easy and dying too quickly.

Unless you used Leveling Roulette after the first reward of the day, you should've gotten a decent amount of XP, even if it was Ifrit.
But who keeps using Roulettes once you have gotten the bonus? You'd usually queue for the closest dungeon to your maximum level after that.

If you get it in the first roulette of the day it's amazing
if you're doing the roulette after the first one of the day you're wasting your time regardless of what dungeon you get, just spam highest level dungeon your job can do or deep dungeon or pvp etc

I always was hoping to get it so that my daily roulettes would take less time. 300 experience seems odd. Had you already done the roulette that day? The daily bonus only applies once per day.

After doing it once for the daily bonus, it's better to directly do the highest level dungeon that is in the level ranges 1-49/51-59/61-69/71-79/81-89/91-99. This is because 50/60/70/80/90 dungeons were once max level dungeons and just like quests of those levels, they don't give as much experience, as they are not considered "leveling dungeons" or "leveling quests".

TBH the first encounters should be solo trials/solo encounters.
It's very pointless to pull out players from roulettes to complete them.

The whole point of roulettes existing is to make sure first time players can complete a duty lmao. If every encounter was forced solo/NPCs run the first time, roulettes would be obsolete.

When i level a job and get Ifrit i just eat the penalty and leave, because it is unacceptable that you can get shafted by RNG on one of the few once-a-day good exp source.

And before someone goes "think of the sprouts" on me, thats available through duty support.

You do realize that the EXP from daily leveling roulette is entirely disconnected from what dungeon you get? It doesn't matter if it's an Ifrit duty or, idk, Tower of Zot, it's gonna give you the same roulette reward regardless. So you leaving is just you skipping opportunity to get that bonus extra fast. You're not screwing the sprouts, you're screwing yourself lmao.

It does affect the exp but they make it scale in a way that it's not usually a big deal. But to give an example, if you get Brayflox HM for High-Level roulette, the exp isn't as good as from other duties.

It's just an issue with the naming, "leveling roulette" isn't meant for leveling, it's just a roulette of the dungeons before the level cap of each expansion from ARR to Dawntrail.

If you want to level via roulette, I recommend MSQ and PVP roulette. The exp from those two are pretty great.

It was always good for EXP, along with Trials roulette. But we are talking specifically about the daily bonus. Not including the daily bonus, roulettes are not very good in general.

MSQ roulette was alright but only became as good as it is now when they forced us to watch cutscenes, and there was a time when alliance roulette didn't exist, but both those became popular options over time as well.

Normal Raids and High-Level roulette were always poor EXP and it stems from the fact they contain what was once endgame, max-level content, and even patch quests don't give much EXP. They fully intend all the EXP gain to come from the content and quests leading up to that expansion's level cap. It just confuses new players a lot because they aren't level caps anymore.

I figured that's what we were all talking about, the daily bonus.

There isn't much point in doing roulette at all without the daily bonus, unless you going with a friend or want to randomize things.

You actually get less EXP from the daily bonus if you get one of the starter trials in your leveling roulette.
