WoL standing there and doing nothing. No intervening when people are getting murdered in front of them, no stopping the comically Machiavellian villain when they are monologuing 2 feet in front of them, no doing anything. Just standing there. "And then the WoL stood there and watched. The end." When someone dies, they stand there and shrug. When something bad befalls their comrades, they just stare at them.
If I didn't know any better, I'd just assume the WoL has ascended to the level of a callously indifferent god, observing the behaviors of lesser beings as the only thing that can entertain them now. Except that everyone knows the most entertaining thing about 7.3 wasn't the story - it was the striking raid gloves that have spell speed, because even copy-pasting doesn't have QA anymore.

And then not only do we just do nothing while Tulliyolal gets attacked, we stand around and do nothing while Gulool Ja Ja gets merc'd. The gameplay and story integration have fallen off a cliff. Admittedly the 7.3 cutscenes were better, especially that last bit with Calyx - more effort was put into a single patch's cutscenes than the entire DT MSQ, but still there's massive room for improvement.
We've just been through our "343 Industries didn't realize Master Chief was the main character of Halo" moment with DT. -

If it is that was more of a question pointed at the dev team. Under the assumption that spell speed stats were put onto non caster gear.
It was less of a dig at the devs and more of I'm surprised it happened reaction. Though seeing as it is just missed placed text and not the actual stat it's not really that surprising of a mistake to happen. -

This is one of the few things base DT actually did really well. Everyone knew that wuk Lamat wasn’t a direct threat, the true threat was the walking tactical nuke sitting behind her. Bakool ja ja, galool ja ja, sareel ja and calyx all immediately pointed out the WOL as the true threat (or guide in galool ja ja’s case)
I don’t think nerfing the WOL midgardsommr style is good because people didn’t like the WOL being sidelined, but maybe more active cutscene use to show that the WOL isn’t as invincible as they feel when they spend half the patch aura farming -

What this indicates to me is that SE is spending less money on FFXIV overall. Designing these fun interactive cutscenes takes time and manpower.
