Forked Tower Instance Prog is no fun

Can you guys consider just letting an alliance queue into OC.

Having to fight to grab an instance together is one of the worst experiences I've ever had in FF14.

Or just let us queue directly into it as an 'ALLIANCE'.

Hopefully having 10+ of these threads daily will incite you guys to fix this.

They wont, or at least not in the near future.
Just look how long it took for them to fix PCT.
Thats not really a SE problem, Its a problem within the Japanese Culture. They simply cant admit that they messed up with something.

The issue is the instance size. 72 vs. 144. They literally cut the instance in HALF for a Raid that requires 48 people. How was this smart?

I have no idea what they might change, but I do not expect them to change the basic design of the content.

How much did they change Eureka and Bozja after release, based on feedback? Besides minor balance adjustments.

If anyone in CB3 is interested, and they really aren't, but what I would like to have seen is the breaking of the full premades not the breaking of the statics.
What would have fixed both Chaotic and Foked Tower for me, was if you
-limited entry to parties of 8
-rest to be taken from raid/duty finder
-usual penalties for people abandoning.
-whole thing queable from outside OC.
-scrap ciphers completely
-and if the instance isn't clearable then that's because the encounter designers have done a shit job

The design constraints are in all the wrong places.

As far as i can see the entire game is being bastardised to keep the encounter designers happy rather than the player base. The fact that a minority find the encounters fun is just law of averages. Unhappy accident.
The casual encounters are whatever the designers can manage within the 9-5 of yoshi's allotted *packages*.
And Chaotic/savage is just whatever the encounter designers deign to find interesting enough to be worth getting out of bed to go to work for, how players interact with it be damned.

I'm pretty sure Yoshi once said explaining things to the players it's key.

And it needs to be a conversation because lately we don't understand the answers you have given us.

I think Yoshi is now scared of losing devs if he puts them under pressure with announcements. Still getting vibes of burn out.

I can't believe I don't even care about X-DC PF anyone. It's a sign that even subconsciously I see myself not coming back.

Maybe when the game is still on its knees come 9.x there will be a handful of voices to remind them of the aims here.

I've got no hope for 8.x either. It might be better by 9.x , which means it might actually be community fun by 10.x when the community ethos is finally recovered enough during the course of 9.x.

It's never going to be better than that because in no universe is SE ever going to be willing to do the big spend push on fixing stuff that Blizzard recognised was needed.

Maybe if I cast enough doom it will finally shock enough of you out of your armour to speak up. Because right now we are not even on course for improvement by 10.x

They want us to quit to justify shuttering the game at this point...

It should be an easy fix to make and hopefully they implement this. If adjustments don't happen it can only be due to some weird(and flawed) "reasoning".

The SE method is take note and "fix" things with next expansion. EW proved that. If it's not the right fix, wait next expansion. EW problems were only recognized during DT promotion.

This is the main problem of the game. While it's not really a good thing to follow everything the players want, the fact that they don't even bother answering criticisms (unless its at a melting point) or fixing issues before the next expansion. Just reeks of them pipelining things on a factory line and covering their eyes and ears from any critique because they simply CANT fix it anymore.
There is 0 transparency or roadmaps or anything until the content is already out, and you're supposed to keep paying for this absolute MYSTERY BOX on a monthly basis.

While this comment might have been a slight exaggeration, I actually think this could be true. Like...FF14 is almost 12 years old now, 15 if you count from 1.0. And FF11 was 9 years old when FF14 1.0 came out.

Maybe they are already developing the next Final Fantasy MMO as a successor to 14. I mean...it is possible. On the other hand, MMORPGs are a dying genre, so they probably don't want to invest in this anymore.

Doesn't change that it feels like they are slowly abandoning a big chunk of the player base, not caring if we are still subbing or quitting.

Duh, of course they have to pretend to fix problems to shill the new expansion, otherwise less people will buy.

Honestly, it's more likely not a problem on the JP servers so that means nothing will be done about it.
