thank you se for makeing 14 a better game "please no negative feed back"

i would like to thank the 14 team for working ever so hard to make this game better than release and also thank you yosh for working relly hard on realm reborn keep up the good work and i and most of the forum community are looking forward to the new 14

I wanted to write a letter to the Development team, and write a thank you letter to the entire group. I know the FFXIV team has a lot of work ahead of them, but I see their hard work is paying off for me and many players. To the development team, please do not listen to the negativity, focus on making the game as great as you know you will make the game, and the players will support you as best we can. Thank you!

I will perform sexual favors for the dev team if it means they can put out great quality gameplay like always.

At the end of the day SE is a company and people work in the company to get paid. However If you have a job like working on FFXIV 2.0 im sure they are also enjoying thier work and doing the best they can. But there jobs and livelyhoods are probably on the line here so there definatly working hard to get 2.0 right or there gonna be jobless and out on the streets and SE is going to go bankrupt and its assets liquidated if this doesnt go right. They know this is there last chance, its all or nothing. Good luck SE.

I'm sure square understands that any negative comments I have are there to help them improve the game.

But yes, thank you Square for all your hard work.

While SE deserves a lot of credit for... let's say, facilitating and enabling the FFXIV team to make all these changes, I think that there's really one person who deserves the most thanks: Yoshi P.

I don't know if people realize the enormity of the feat that he has pulled off**, especially considering the position he was put in 1 1/2 years ago. As a relative unknown, he was given the enormous responsibility of fixing one of the most expensive projects ever produced by SE. A project they had run into the ground, doused with gasoline, and lit on fire. Not to mention having a lot of the 'important' staff jump ship as soon as it failed. Since that time, not only has he vastly improved and expanded the current version of FFXIV, he also kept us updated at least once a month on the happenings of the game, built a dedicated and talented team around him, taken trips to many different events for PR purposes, and kept his word every. damn. time. he's given it (except when he couldn't, in which case he made sure to explain to us why he couldn't). And all the time he was listening to our every little whim, he was building a brand new game.

Yoshi P has constantly earned my respect and my admiration for the job he's done. I can't tell you how relieved I was after seeing the gameplay footage.

So thanks, Yoshida-san! You've made a believer out of me.

Its not like its right around the corner.. we got untill next freakin year to even try it.

But I am happy to see them TRYING to make their game better. They are actually listening to the community, which is rare in the MMO world.

Removed my reply since I will not bother stooping to his level, but I still wish SE the best with their endevors and continue to support FFXIV.

But seriously, he may have been a bit rough in his presentation, but what he says is true.
We're paying to experience a quality game, and a lot of that quality comes from them listening to critique and issues so we don't end up with things like random server transfers and dye based stats.

We can't just shower them with praise, they'll think the game doesn't need improvement and continue to make poor decisions. They need us to be grounded in reality as customers, not fans.

I'm not happy with all changes they do and I'm not wearing the pink "everything is great" goggles.

Depends on what you define as negativity. Telling SE that they suck and ARR will fail obviously doesn't help, but telling them that a certain piece of content is bad, even in a mean way, helps more than just telling them they're doing a good job.

I chose to send my thanks via electronic debit.

I think one has to differntiate between constructive feedback and negative "doomsaying" (is that a word? I just know the word "doomsayer" so I derived that from it :P ).
While I'm all the way for feedback and constructive criticism (at Gamescom they asked us to give us as much feedback as we can!) I'm not for talking the game "down" based upon assumtions or displeasure (maybe from the point of view of press writers).
Let's stay in the present, give feedback on everything we can and wait how the game will look when it's approaching its final phase.

So, to SE: Please take our feedback serious and thanks for listening to it! But don't let any bad spirit that people might spread about you pull you down! You've done a great job so far, team Yoshi! :)

This post coming from someone who made a rant about revealing clothing in the game. You saw it here.

Yeah SE pulled a world first with taking such a poorly-received game and turning it upside down into something amazing, and an MMO at that. The media is really liking what they see and peoples' opinions have been changing all over the place. Most of the people I have seen trolling the game by calling it garbage have seen the recent reviews and they're like "... are you kidding me? really? ... well I guess it's not so bad".

Many thanks to SE FF14 team and Yoshi-P for working hard on making FF14 better. I look forward to using your 2.0 product to enjoy my free time, and give you monies to do so ^^

Clear discussion and ideas we present about Mechanics, etc or new mechanics etc is quality feedback.
Raging on eachother helps no one.

Without negative feedback we wouldn'nt have A Realm Reborn, a well formulated negative feedback that helps the devs make a better game is something I think the devs would want more than positive feedback. That being said I know this thread is for thanking the team for their job on 2.0. So...

Yoshi-P and his team have done a incredibly good job turning around FFXIV and they deserve massive credits for their work, especially Yoshida-san. So a huge thank you and cant wait to get to play A Realm Reborn!
