Hey guys! I was wanting to make an "off-topic" thread since maintenance is coming up, but didn't see a tab for one so i figure this is the best place for one. So I'm just curious how much do YOU spend on games, this is just something to tide me over until 3 hours of maintenance are over.

since its gotten started a little bit i guess i can say that ive spent $4,500 on vindictus NA probly $1,000 on runescape $1,000 on maplestory and probly another 1k on mabinogi also i havent spent it yet but have 1k in game cards for this game

In one time? I spent about 200$ on a game called RF online. PvP focused games cause me to spend a little more than pve focused games..

Played RuneScape for 7 years off and on... a few months on, a few months off, then stopped.
Played Shin Megami Tensei: IMAGINE for 3 years, with a few breaks, then stopped.
Played AION: Tower of Eternity for 2 years, then stopped.
Played Mabinogi for 1 and a half years, then ragequitted because Nexon sucks.
And this game since alpha, which makes my fourth. Though I already know it's gonna rise to the top spot. -

It would have to be MMOs in general. Once I starting XI, I never bought other games again.
Until I built a decent PC, then those Steam sales would take my money. -

Know if your asking me the most money i wasted it would be i bought duke nukem forever when it first came out for over $60, I would suggest only getting that game if someone gave you $40 to take it off of them, cause I would say $40 is fair compensation for the amount of time your wasting having to play it. -

I would say between buying the collectors edition of ffxiv and building a new liquid cooled PC to play, as well as paying for two accounts I have spent somewhere over 3k. Obviously the bulk of that was spent on the PC. :D Still it was built to play this game!

At this point who knows. I have 42 games under my belt currently, that includes boxes if I can get them, plus monthly subs if available as I hate f2p. Sometimes as many as 3 games subbed at a time, plus games like eq2 or lotro I've put a lot of money into their cash shops. I can't even imagine my money spent at this point after 10 nonstop years of this. Haha. But it's my only major hobby just yet so... I don't feel too awful about it. :]

I think it'd be a fairly close call betwen FFXI and EVE.
FFXI - A little short of 7 years subs. ~£850 + ~£100 on expansions totals nearly a grand
EVE - Probably around £400 for 3-4 years subs. The only reason its not higher is cos eve is unique in that you can pay for the subs with the in game currencies with it's PLEX which for a quite a long time was the only reason my character stayed rolling.
