There was a thread that said little things that you'd like to see added to the game, but I'm making a thread to say the little things that we LIKE about the game...the simple things that make you say, "That's a nice touch"
For example:
- When my character shows different expressions when under a status effect, such as bind or sleep
- The bed animation for sleeping and waking up.
- Dreaming
- The lighting from a campfire, or how it changes during transition from being inside to going outside.
- The lightning storm on the ferry.
- Adding the Garlean Airships
- These guys! (I hope I see them again after 2.0 D:)

I love the AI touches they have on monsters (Used to be alot more diverse) but still a few mobs retain nice reaction abillities that few actually know about.

I like that PUG who drops her weapon. I like when NPCs subtly quote movies and memes. I like that they even have smaller emotes like /shrug. I like how NPCs don't always call me by my full name. I like how some emotes are able to be used while sitting. I'd like more to be usable while sitting, and emotes to be usable while on chocobo though. :C On that note, I'd also like some of the emotes I see the NPCs using, and I'd like to have a 'lay down' emote.

The heavy armor designs in general are very good.
I have acquired a decent number of health potions just from doing leves, and they can be very useful while leveling.
I can be in multiple LS's. -

Pretty much everything everyone else has listed, with the sleeping/dreaming/waking up probably one of my favorite "nice touches."

I have to say my overall favorite is the realistic touch of the world. Motion captured really does the trick in regards to immersion, for me that is.
The emotes, the walking/running, monster behavior, everything. I just love it. -

- More weather than just rain or shine
- Instead of shutting the game down, it is being redone and has one of the largest teams at SE working on it
- Content being added fairly often during 1.0 despite the coming of 2.0
- Character physics are awesome (I love the Miqo'te tail wag and how characters lean when you turn)
- Shallow water in this game is beautiful (such as the shallow rivers and pools in Black Shroud)
- You can tell that the translators and original writers spend a lot of time on the dialogue for almost every NPC
- Armor is fairly realistic and very nice looking
- Devs seem to listen to what the players actually want rather than what the vocal majority screams about
- Not afraid to cater to both the hardcore and casual players despite massive protests from both sides on the forums ("X IS TOO EASY" and then "X IS TOO HARD" and then "X TAKES TOO LONG" and then "X DOESN'T TAKE LONG ENOUGH!")
- Does not take itself too seriously
- Is not afraid of having some more "adult" content in the game (slutty miqo'te path companion, some of the language used ["whore," "shite," etc.], strippers at the Miner's guild, booze everywhere)
- Hildebrand
- References a lot of pop culture in clever way -
