Make casual matches shorter

Like 1-2mins
We all know this game mode is objectively garbage
We just want the glams
Make a sudden death quick mode so it's easier to farm exp and never have to do PVP again for the next 6 months

I actually disagree very strongly.

Casuals are an important place for practicing jobs. If casuals didn't follow the same principles as ranked matches it would be harder to get a proper understanding of a chosen class because you wouldn't learn how they "behave" in different stages of a match (opening, "midgame", "endgame" -- yes, I know, "mindgame" and "endgame" aren't super deep in CC anyway, but they still exist...more or less...).

1-2 mins are not enough to get a proper feeling for the intervals and timings of different skills over the course of a longer fight, esp. if you consider that some have 20s or 30s cooldowns.
The chance you'd be exposed to a broader variety of scenarios that often occur in longer matches would also be lower.

Sure, you won't learn everything in casual mode. Some things can only acquired in ranked. But it still teaches you a basic feeling for proper/normal-length CC matches.
Having to learn even those basics in ranked will make ranked (even) more miserable because you'll have more people griefing your games with classes they don't yet understand well, while you'll grief other people's games in return.

Also, ranked queues often die after a couple of weeks (let's see how long they last this time with the new dedicated servers). This would mean no proper/normal-length matches for months before the season resets.

Casuals also make community events possible. It allows people of all skill levels who'd normally never meet in ranked to play together. That's important for friends or FCs/discord servers who want to queue up together.

And even if you go in solo, being able to play against or with stronger players in casuals has tought me things I wouldn't have been able to learn in ranked where I'm only surrounded by people of my own skill level.

Despite the shortcomings, I am having fun in the content for the content. The rewards at the end are nice, but not the main reason I play.

Just because you get your cheeks clapped every match doesn't mean the game mode is garbage.

We already have shorter timers and/or shorter scores in all areas of pvp. I'm not sure what shortening the time accomplishes.

Well, I may be wrong OP , if you don't like PvP in general , the solution isn't to ask for something that other people likely don't want. It's more likely to ask yourself "why am I doing something I don't enjoy- isn't there an alternative?"

If on the other hand, it's CC specifically that you dislike, again- I disagree with your suggestion, matches are already quick, however Loggos really provided several excellent reasons why matches of several minutes are very important if anyone wants to improve.

I actually would like that matches don't go overtime every time.

E.g. if you manage to get past a checkpoint, and the enemy team didn't yet - you instant win.

if anything possible extend the max time instead... this is a good playground to really learn your job as well for PvP reasons.
