Going by the standard pattern, they won't roll the Expert Roulette over until 7.2 when there's another dungeon added and the first three move to a Level 100 Roulette. Otherwise it would be nothing but the 7.1 dungeon, which wouldn't be much of a roulette.
4 months of waiting for a new patch and we get a stinky new dungeon and are still forced to run item synced Alexandria in our expert.
This patch already had barely any content and class tuning was a joke but wow

Welcome to the consequences of them only doing 1 dungeon per patch. They won't make a new dungeon by itself in a roulette so they're forced to keep the original 3 in roulette until x.2
I knew this was going to be a thing and still will be unless they change what they add.
They're all the same... no point in more dungeons... Variant/criterion are a way better investment anyway, they just need to fix those damn rewards...
I rather they leave the dungeon in for the rest of the expansion, as well as other level 100 dungeons. Much less dull having 4+ dungeons to be randomly chosen than only 2, which we'll see come patch 7.2 and onward.
Actually, I rather expert roulette just be all Dawntrail dungeons scaled up to level 100 and ilvl capped so they aren't too easy. I'm only there for the daily tomestones, don't care about the regular drops unless its a minion. Less boring if I don't see the same 2 dungeons every day.
They need to go back to the original hard dungeon concept where they took an old dungeon, went backward through it with some recolored mobs and some modified boss mechanics.
I know it’s not a full featured, rich story dungeon but who really cares after the first run? We just want more variety and things to do. 2 dungeons over and over and over again for 10 months is maddening.
Let the newest devs create the non-MSQ hard dungeons or the veterans if they want a change of place.
Also, do away with the barriers, if we want to pull all the trash to the boss, let us. That way, players can make the call on how intense they want it. Those were the good old days when tanks would ask healers how intense to pull.
X.0 dungeons stay in the X.1 expert roulette just like the X.1 dungeon will stay in the X.2 roulette and so on.
I am another player glad to have Alexandria still in the roulette. If anything, 7.1 is going to be the best part of the expansion for Expert Roulette, with access to four dungeons instead of three or two. When I choose to do a Roulette, I want a Roulette rather than a coin toss.

I love the Alexandria dungeon and am glad Queen Sphene will be here and present in 7.1. It is one of my favourites of the MSQ dungeons and i love the music and dialogue so it is good that it remains.
You can always queue for another level 100 dungeon if you have enough of Alexandria and want to do one of the other ones.
We've had body horror in the game forever. The mutated Serpent Reavers in Sastasha Hard, far too many Allagan experiments to count, every humanoid voidsent that requires a body as a host (notably succubi), a number of the Garlean Empire's experiments in following Allag's footsteps, the Sin Eaters......
They need to hurry up and end this miserable plot without going to that well again. It is so very unappealing to add even more garbage to this story. If it were me I would take a page from wow and dalaran teleport solution 9 to meracydia and move on far far away from the new world and lamat and this lame story.

The reason 1 main update also changed the expert roulette was because we got 2 dungeons (crazy right), this was a long time ago.
Now we only get 1, so wait for the next update (that'll be another 5 months?) and then the new dungeon will be here and then the roulette will be the new dungeon and the 5-month older dungeon.
Because it is a trashy ilvl synced joke of a dungeon in EXPERT ROULETTE and the sole purpose is for MSQ? If they are so lazy they can't make more than 1 dungeon in 4-5 months then the very least they could rehash old ones, scale them for current cap and rotate them in expert but I guess that's too much effort for this small indie studio.
I'd be happy to see ARR dungeons at current cap or something if I'm honest, those were closer to actual dungeons than what we get now aswell.

Would u elaborate on dungeon design? Because there's none. It is the same tube design with 2 packs before a forced wall.
As for why it is hated, personally I greatly dislike player power being taken away in a MMO as Alexandria forces you into ilvl sync even though it is supposed to be an Expert roulette. We have done that dungeon for 4 months already and it is just not great compared to the other ones we had even in 7.0 Expert. The dungeon only serves a purpose as MSQ tool and its built around that which makes it even lamer to be rerunning over and over especially because it has so many forced RP bits i.e when one of the airships gets destroyed.
I just won't do expert at all anymore, mostly because of Luigi's Mansion. I like the uptick in difficulty, but man there is nothing that is not annoying about that dungeon.
We really need an option to have 1 dungeon of our choosing per roulette taken out of the rotation. The constant daily 1000 maws got me to just stop running leveling, getting king moogle literally 63 days in a row killed my interest in trials, and now this for expert. I just want the option to remove 1, just 1, from the rotation.
Don't worry, once in 7.2, we'll only have 2 dungeons in expert roulette until the end of the expansion.
I find it visually displeasing with all the visual white noise in the background (subjective), and worst, some forced single pulls. I do like the hard sync though, which happens to all dungeons until x.3 or something iirc.
The only reason I dislike Alexandria is because the terrible visual clarity with all the electricity VFX + they trigger my photosensitivity to some extent.
But I'd still rather keep that, and ALL future lv100 dungeons within Expert roulette because coin flip roulette for 4.5 months is miserable regardless of the options & I don't understand why people like that monotony.
it's decent for dungeon design aka: it's good for our current dungeon standards. (which is low but I think DT dungeons are more fun then EW). More so the bosses have been more fun in general, again the bar isn't that high but I think in comparison that it's not a bad dungeon to have in expert roulette and to me the bosses are generally the "highlight" to dungeons, I do wish we could pull more or have more interesting dungeons but none of the other dungeons do that.
I'm personally against not having synchs, I wish we had more intense item level scale down's I think the reason why a lot of things seem easier then it is, is because gear levels are so high that taking damage is barely a punishment.
I like the dungeon personally, I find boss 1 and 3 pretty fun, though it has low points such as forced single as mentioned in another reply.
If my post came across me liking current dungeon design? then nah not really I enjoy some bosses but outside of that they really should step up in general, but that's no different from any other dungeon, I rather have 4 different ones for experts then just having 2 same ones, but I do hope in general they actually do more with dungeon design (I doubt that though).
Your reasons why you dislike the (second half) plot are bizzare and make little sense. We've had so much body horror before in the game: everything from Alligan and Garlean tech (remember the cat boy attached to the prototype when you have to be Estenien?) to the entire plotline of the ShB trials, to the plot of the Final Days in EW turning you into a soulless monster if you fall to despair. They will continue to pull from that well even when this plot is done with, I have no doubt in my mind. You're free to dislike it but have a better reason other then stuff that happens in this game constantly.
Anyway I don't really see an issue with this dungeon. All 4 of them have interesting bosses that people *still* die on, and with the exception of Strayborough's first boss they are all pretty fun. If you're going to complain about the layout of Alexandria, well ... The other ones are literally all the same pulls as normal.
They put in a minion you can't buy of the mb so I will also take it in the roulette for more chances lol
What is so complicated about it? It's the same crap tropes again. The story is cooked as is. We have another year and half or so left of dawntrail. This is what we are going to get. It isn't worth my time or effort. This is the best crap we are going to get? Biolabs and a Jerry Springer daddy meltdown. They should be running from the the grave they have written themselves into
I hate the dungeon from all the flashy lightning effects in it especially the last boss going full nuclear on my eyeballs that I have to look away.
I just warn the healer at the start of that specific dungeon...I've yet to do 7.1 because no energy and I'm genuinely scared of how flashy it might be.
