Why does Square still refuse to do anything about this after all these years

They removed the ability to exploit the system and have more than 1 house back in 2.0 and yet there are still entire wards with all the same FC tag. It's been YEARS and they still won't do anything about those who got multiple homes back in 2.0 despite it supposedly being against the rules since the game launched.

I lost my house due to auto-demolish over 1 year ago and have entered the lottery every window since. I cannot recall a time where there were double digit plots available at one time across all 5 housing districts COMBINED. Presently on my server there are 6 free plots. That's it. On the whole server. And yet while doing my routine lottery bid I see almost an entire fc ward with the same tag. How am I reasonably expected to get a house when an entire server is fighting over 6 houses. I think I have better odds of winning the actual lottery.

They wouldn't have to add new wards and subdivisions if they just did something about those who exploited the system a decade ago and are still getting away with it.

Wow so cool this new patch added all these new housing options. Wow look at the pretty new furnishings. Too bad 99% of the playerbase will never be able to interact with this.

Saying that 99% of the playerbase isn't able to access the housing in this game is quite the exaggeration, OP. My server is just as bad, if not worse, with the amount of currently available plots so I share your pain.

Maybe consider transferring to one of the four new servers on Dynamis, I imagine there's still plenty of housing to go around over there.

That still doesn't address the problem of them not doing anything about people with multiple houses for a decade.

I had made a suggestion that they enforce only one personal and FC plot per world and they have 45 days to choose which ones to keep. Then they are refunded the entire cost of the plot once their extra plots are demolished and that would eliminate the majority of submarine shacks on Dynamis where 4 people own entire wards. For those that don't choose, then the game chooses at random for them. 45 days is plenty enough time to choose which plots you want to keep.

Have to completely agree that anything that can be exploited will be exploited by players who are just that selfish, and that this problem sounds like something that's been ongoing for too long without a remedy. However, it's one of many things that would be completely solved with instanced housing.

I never understood why some players have their heart and mind set on owning an entire ward. If I were a sublord, my goal would be to secure and control the good plots like the prime mediums and larges across the residential districts, not a bunch of measly smalls.

Tons of housing on Dynamis. If you haven't figured it out yet SE expects those plots to be filled and will not cater to over populated servers. They are attempting to even out server populations and those who choose not to partake of all the available housing are just going to continue to go without.

Dude it's been possible to buy multiple fc houses on the same account even in Endwalker. It was not removed.

Smalls have a shorter run distance to the workshop and they cost less. The people interested in reselling plots are the ones who try to get mediums and larges.
