Emet Selch, Hythlodaeus, Venet as reincartion students

they get turn on the boat to old sharlayan plus they knowledge would awesome addition to expand the Sharlayan knowledge

how would i suggest doing it

first off Emet Selch, Hythlodeaus Venat have no memory of past life till they get in contact with the WoL this could be an ongoing end expansion where you travel with them and give more access to knowledge that old Sharlayan not seen yet also be reincarnation is throw a element get to know them all other again

Emet Selch is Garlen with has gift with ability weild aether.

Hythlodeaus is Veira male Bard.

Venat miq'ta gunblade.

Lahabrea who could be add as astrologian

the adventurer with these three or 4 in they new live would intrest add they won't be involve in main story through my suggest is it an ongoing stories through next expansions

the ascians/ancients are dead, let them find peace

Maybe someday, but there has been no announcement whatsoever so it likely wouldn't be until an 8.x patch or an expansion after that. Depends if that is the one people want most as well. I've honestly only heard MrHappy talk about it, whereas I saw loads of people in the game talk about beastmaster for years prior to its announcement.

The issue is the whole... growing up part. By then, the Warrior of Light would be saving the world 1-handed with a walking stick in the other hand, doing a slow walk like Zenos not to be intimidating but due to age.

I suppose they could work around this by making them lalafells. Then they can skip the growing up part by, well, not.

These are great ideas to explore in fan fiction.

Obsessionway?

Need a freelancer or Onion Knight job that can use all the removed abilities from previous expansions. And gets all its stats from number of classes you have leveled up. And can only wear L1 glamor gear.

To be fair I'd rather they only add limited jobs now over regular jobs as we have enough.

If you want more content with the Ancients, whether in the time of Amaurot, other historical periods in the game, versions of the story where they're still alive, reincarnation stories, and alternate universe settings entirely, may I recommend a fun little website called archiveofourown.org? It's full of any and all of your favorite FFXIV characters, easily searchable, and the majority of it is written with far more love and care than anything in Dawntrail was.

I don't trust anyone on the current writing team to touch my beloved Ancients after DT. I'll leave the further writing to the fans for now.

First off Gaia is an example of ascian that been reborn. Second one could say they reincarnation is already been reborn an Vanat and emet are just last peice of soul. Or it could be us help this process.Third 1.0 had fellowship in game at one point . Add dargoneer as job is a good idea. Also it add 4 limit jobs

To me this seem like best ending for emet and Vanat those who tried fight over world must live again an explore it

You are right that Gaia is an example of one being reincaranted, however that was done well before we met her. Venat and Emet-Selch are both characters that have returned to the lifestream recently. Granted, we don't know in-depth details on how the reincarnation process works but I don't see us encountering them anytime soon.

Besides, both characters ended with coming to terms about how things went.
Venat satisfied with our answer to the impending doom of the final days, and Emet-selch in the resolve of the sundered.
I don't see how bringing them back would serve the story in any meaningful way outside of being fan service.

I am curious how dragoneer would go.
Do you simply fight with a dragon familiar/pet of some kind?

I'm excited to try out beastmaster as well.

It is ideal yosh p suggest doing both a dragoon and job with a dragon companion I merely suggest the logical course.

I feel like the endgame content is held back by many reasons,

one of it Job design for sure.

raids are very cool but after playing BLM for past month and so,
I don't feel like playing them because most jobs plays the same anyways.

Bring the ascian in as students is basic on people like them their don't like Wuk Lamar

In ~7.1 we are getting Cosmic Exploration for DoH/DoL. Somewhat like Ishgard restoration, but as they said with personal progress (but not personal world progress as well?). It's kind of annoying they aren't saying what the content will be about / like. I have big fears it will end up into one of two categories: the first one with no real rewards, maybe whooping 5 materia, or the second one: grind for a year so you have "grip gel 2.0" for 7.3 gear set. (or it's glorified crafter + gatherer tribe quests).

I don't think they said it was specifically for DoH/DoL. If it was they'd have probably hyped it up the way they did Ishgard Restoration where they called it "endgame content for disciples of the hand and land". I've not seen marketing like this particularly for Cosmic Exploration and in Island Sanctuary they allowed you to do the gathering without a gatherer class.

But on the other hand they don't really do this marketing campaign for crafter/gatherer beast tribes or custom deliveries now that they are standard content for those roles, so it could be. The question is if they want to restrict the content to people with crafters/gatherers or not, when the one universal role everyone has is battle classes due to the MSQ.

Their philosophy is for there to be rewards. They know that people don't do content if there aren't rewards. They've talked about this fact since early in the game's history. Putting a mount or some other reward behind it is quite standard - that's why they added for the mentor roulette mount for example. That's why extremes have a 99 totem mount and a slightly better weapon etc.

They said they are increasing the development of rewards generally as well.

I think doing relic weapons that mulit expansion would interest ideal. Doing the emet and Vanat as students with different dungeons and quests as part end game content would expand what players could do also allow students be give gear and weapons upgrade doing it as multiple expansion story

I am actually hoping beast master fails as a limited job so they can just go back and rework beastmaster and blue mage into real jobs.

The graphics have mining pick, some harvested goods and so on. In the interview they compared it to Ishgard few times. If it won't require DoH/DoL then it will be similar to Island Sanctuary - a very side content - but what would be the point/goal then?

Also most 91-100 dungeon groups I get are 3-4 mentors so they wouldn't loose much by making new DoH/DoL content. It could then cooperate with Ishgard Restoration for leveling said jobs. Ishgard to level X then this onward.

Criterion/Variant dungeons died quickly post release due to lack of sensible rewards.

I did few DoH/DoL deliveries in Tural and it was junk reward-wise. If Cosmic Exploration is for DoH/DoL then either I get 100-200 current materia out of it without absurd time sinks or it's dead. 7.3 gear set will require some scrip-gated item so if this content won't allow to just buy it quickly without sitting a week dumping collectibles then it's also dead for me and I'll probably skip till 7.55 and go for the scrip gear.

The point would be the story and probably whatever rewards they put like a mount. And the achievement for the achievement hunters.

It could have leveling things as part of it but this is achieved by leves, custom deliveries and crafting/gathering beast tribes through the expansion already so there would already be no particular point in that.

Actually, variant had good rewards. Mounts for doing all routes; TT cards to farm; minion drops if you didn't want to just buy them; and rewards to buy if you spent the currency that dropped. I think there was even glam.

The issue with variant dungeons was the lack of a reason to do it regularly after that. It was just a short grind, then you never needed to do it ever again. Not being a regular dungeon part of roulettes, you weren't likely to get a queue by clicking the queue button, especially when it's easy to solo.

Criterion technically had a good reward for collectors - a mount. Not usually good-looking mounts, but for collectors that doesn't matter. It just would have benefit from a reward for non-collectors such as accessory or tomestone gear augment, but this would require the timing to align with savage release.

The problem beyond that was the actual savage version of criterion didn't have special rewards and it was dismissed as being mostly the same thing.

But my point is intact because they did in fact add rewards to variant/criterion in line with their philosphy - both variant and criterion had mount rewards that were sought by collectors. They just weren't rewards that sustain you doing it after getting them.

I mean yes, but also the problem with Variant Dungeons is a lack of variant. It's always 3 little and 1 big trash, every pull. Same bosses over and over, with the occasional minor change at one point or another based on weather or not you chased off or defeated certain trash. If verity is the spice of life, then these dungeons were basically dead.

Limited jobs are the biggest travesty this game has to offer. Because now I know that beast master -a job I was hoping would join the lineup- is going to be doa and limited to old content ...

Not to mention the bland gameplay of blu.

Mounts and achievements are so many that only very specific players go for them. This isn't universal or valuable reward, it's trash (unless suddenly the mount is 8 or 24-person mount never done before; glowing glamour armor similar to Eureka just different/better). Island Sanctuary when setup properly printed currency that then could be dumped into materia so at minimum the new DoH/DoL content has to have this (and probably yet again at absurd prices).

CiderSpider was doing Criterion dungeons for achievements and it was obviously painful and boring to do :)

If the game idea for rewards is yet another mount or yet another achievement then it won't go far. The base of the playerbase are plotwatchers that are month before/after expansion at best. Then general combat group and somewhere at the top achievement/mount farmers. A lot of people from all groups are yelling and begging for mid-core content.

So if the reward is that for a quite important part of the expansion, then I'm not resubbing in December for it. I'll just wait for 7.55 if it will have something better after. 2025 is Monster Hunter Wilds so that may not be even guaranteed. The game becomes playable every 2 years for 2 months ;)

The ideal one could doing with the students emet and Vanat is have doing same dungeon but different area open because of they past one could have them explore the world as students with you as the mentor kind like we have escort quests. I was the students now I am the master. In this it about them see life is worth live have different approach to the students. Life lessons with a mentor
