Job Roles Roulette

Can we please have an option to have different Job roles in all Roulettes or even just different jobs. I am sick of going into a roulette and getting 2 of the same DPS in a leveling or MSQ, I don't care if it makes my queue longer I want the option so I avoid having buffs overlap and no party bonus.
I know it's just roulettes but there is nothing worse than getting two bards where 1 song is effectively useless, we got enough different dps options now that this should be possible.
If this is not something you like then you can easily not click the option just like how there is join duty in progress.

Additionally it would also be nice to have shield healers and "pure" healers separate too but not as important.

Overlapping buffs are a skill issue, when you got two Ninjas and both use Mug* at the same time, thats their fault.

The Bard songs could simply stack to fix this.

It does sound broadly like a player communication thing, often when I see someone I share a party buff with I'll ask if they want to go first, I once also tried to coordinate three SMN party buffs - that was fun.

Trick attack is a personal buff, i guess you mean Mug/Dokumori

With the introduction to the follow up skills every job has been given it is not a skill issue, it is by design that SE wants us to Burst on the 2min. so if 1 ninja did not use Dokumori they do not get ninki gauge or Higi which gives Zesho Meppo during their burst.
You could argue it is casual content and you could rotate the buffs if you communicate but there is minor dps loss... again casual content which is why I'm asking for an optional addition for those that dislike this minor annoyance that I seem to run into way to much. I am a magnet for double jobs in roulettes and I'm tired of it.

Yes I have tried many times to communicate this to other players but most of the time they ignore it, or start drifting onto my buff. Also in some cases they do it out of spite. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Most people who do roulettes solo in DF just want to go in and out and while they might want to pay attention to personal proves, if only to make things go faster, its not really fruitful environment for party tactics. If one wants more refined party structure to it there's always option to go with existing contacts or tossing up PF for the same. But as its fairly rare people want to se that much trouble for setting up the roles the PF likely won't fill. Best option is to go with other people you know who care.

I could see this as a DF option, not to be paired with the same job, but it would have to be opt in, the default being that people can get partied with whatever jobs since the faster queue it gives is what vast majority of the players are more for.

I 100% agree it should be opt in option so if you want the quick queue and don't care about having 4 ninjas in your raids then so be it. But I like a bit of diversify, I dont want to have to watch someone else's buff if they go first.
And I get it, its normal content I shouldnt care unless its end game stuff.

Yes i mean mug, trick attack was he old version but you get the idea.

They did however make a big mistake in that regard by gating powerful potenciy spells behind the buffs for several jobs. There is no way you let go of 600 potency in the opener, so if double SMN, overlapping radiant buff ever 2 minutes it is instead of alternating every minute.

Splitting the queues (which, by the way, would make queue times longer for everyone) for what? So .5% of dungeon runs would go by 1-2% faster? Most dungeon runs are already 15 minutes at most and 1/5 of that is time spent running, anyway. There are probably way more runs where people don't even use their party buffs than runs with duplicate buffs. Just make roulette parties in PF if you're willing to wait longer.

It'd be one thing if this were JP and we did Savage in DF but this is a ridiculous idea.

Firstly Party finder already has this option with "One player per job" so it's not something difficult to implement.
It won't split the queues for someone that does not select the option, they will get first reserve and may even end up with people that select the option for Separate DPS roles. It would work exactly like it already does with tanks/heals/DPS. its just introducing a new variable for roles, BUT the dps share inf the option is not selected, this is kinda how pvp works?
I am not worried this would harm the queues time at all since its rare to even have DPS in need or lack of dps queuing. maybe at 3am? idk... it's just an idea.

Who cares if you get the same in those dungeons? Those aren't extremes or savage when having one different job each matters. It doesn't take much, if any, longer then usual. And a lot of double jobs can work around each other being there.

This might seem like a hot take, but at the end of the day, it's Roulettes.... It really doesn't matter... You could have 4 DNCs that all dance partner the healer and use devilment and technical at the exact same times, and it really just doesn't matter... If the content were anything difficult, I'd agree, but it's just roulettes... Changing the system to something like what is suggested in the OP would do nothing but extend queue times for DPS queues substantially while reducing the total content time by maybe 2%...
