I stand by the notion that I would've found Solution Nine more interesting if they hadn't been showing it off so aggressively pre-release to force intrigue.
Guessing those two Lalafell who entered the 'portal' were Krile's parents
Final Fantasy Borderlands
Dawnservant Successor Arc
Find the City of G- I mean the Great Vault
Rita Repulsa from Power Rangers who most definitely isn't the Ascian they forgot invades with her Purple ships and armies of Putty Minions with Guns
Will be interesting to see play out.
I think they revealed too much in this trailer but we will see.
Hmmm Stargate or... Shardgate?
Personally, can't wait to find out what this is all about:

The descendants from Neo Los Angeles in Xenoblade Chronicles X have decided to invade Eorzea.
The only scene that got a notice out of me was the "cactuar fate" which actually looked like some gameplay fun in some kind of an open world. We all know that it'll be a fate you can complete in under 1 minute though, as is ffxiv's design of "respecting your time."
I think the purple border behind the Catuar indicates it is a dungeon boss.
I wonder if Wuk Lamat plans to be the next Dawn Servant. Maybe she could let us know just one more time to be sure. I get that's the plot, but I do hope that's not her entire personality for the expansion.
Ah, dungeons; the funnest thing in xiv since shadowbringers:rolleyes:
We're gonna help Wuk Lamat become Hokage
I suspect she'll end up as 'a' leader but not 'the' leader.
FIrst, she may not seem super capable now, but they're setting the seeds for a character arc. How well that arc plays out is yet to be seen. But we've only seen her at the start of this journey. And they've set up a flaw (her being scared during the solo instance boss and hand shaking) to overcome etc. Her not immediately being the obvious choice also adds tension to the competition, especially if Thancred/Urianger end up backing someone else etc.
I suspect what will happen is that she'll end up a co ruler with her her Miqo'te brother. Mirroring the two personalities of the current leader's heads. Or maybe even all three of the non evil candidates we saw in the live letter. (Heck even the racist one may get talk no jutsu'd into chilling out and becoming a more level headed member of a council.)
Anyone multilingual watch the other trailers?
In English the Enigmatic Maiden says "With your strength, could you have held fast to that which is dear without sacrifice", but in every other language, it sounds like something different. According to my pitiful phone translate app, it's something along the lines of "I have the key, I can finally enact my plan" in the three other languages, in a different tone of voice from that in English, maybe even slightly sinister.
If you're hoping for that...
(Spoilers technically if you've skipped major side content or not finished MSQ)
Aymeric (Ishgard), Lyse (Rhalgr's), Rasho (Ruby Sea), Cirina (Azim Steppe), Hien (Doma), Raubahn (Ala Mhigo), Chai-Nuzz (Eulmore), Balsaljen (Gangos/Bozja), Maxima/Jullus (Garlemald), Zero/Golbez (Void)
Yes, you're right. In German she says pretty much exactly what your translation says: "Finally my plan will come to fruition. As it is I who holds the key in my hands."
Can't say much about the French version but I understood the fragments "key" and "in my possession" so it's probably something similar.
Problem with xiv's msq the last few expansions is that it turns too anime at random spots, as well as the stagnant cast. For an ongoing game using the same cast is getting old and stale.
Seeing alphinaud and the rest "struggle" in those cutscenes and whatever did nothing to me. Anyone else have this reaction? Like, eh, saturday morning cartoon.
I don't necessarily dislike the cast staying with us. I think with good writing them going stale could be prevented. But I agree with the "too anime" part. I noticed that too and that shift in tone always throws me off.
The trailer is ok for us older players but from a new player perspective the trailer feels weak or bland.
Even as an older player I didn't feel very captivated tbh and I don't say this to be negative. I wanted to get excited but I was just not feeling it. I don't know why.
Complete snoozefest. That didn't even bump the hype meter.
The trees look nice c:
(But otherwise, I'm intrigued but not hyped. With the previous story wrapped up and the patch content writing...incredibly underwhelming, I am holding judgment until after I get to play the game.)
They've used entirely different lines in the English trailers before so I suspect that may be the case as they may have done another trick they've done before by having and entirely different characters voice line play over a scene they're not even in. I say this as in the English version, the voice we hear when Enigmatic maiden is seen speaking sounds like Krile to me. It would be a bit of a troll move but it's the sort of thing they've pulled in patch and launch trailers before. They like to throw in red herrings.
