Hyur Midlander Female Face 1 changes

Not only did they change the textures which make it look like a completely different face, the model itself has changed. The cheeks and eyes are bigger and the overall shape of things has changed. My hyur doesn't look like she used to at all, I feel so disconnected from her, it really bothers me :(

The face paint for extra make up on face 1 also seems to be more invisible now, it's barely noticeable and with the option to have eyeliner on the upper eyelid being so softened now too her gaze has lost her personality completely. I truly do not recognize her

Please revert these changes or only make the textures HD. My character feels like another person and using a fantasia to change to another pretty thing is not the solution, specially when we've bonded with our WoLs over the years

I fully agree, here is my face 1 midlander.
I tried all the character creation lightning and the benchmarks with 0/50/100 gamma correction and she looks terrible in everything, i am very upset of these new changes.

gosh they really hurt our face 1 middies, she looks like another person :((( I hope they can see this and give our faces back!

Our characters have pretty similar features, and I 100% agree with everything you pointed out. F midlanders seem to have really gotten it bad with this update, and I don't believe that the sculpt changes were necessary.

there is couple another screenshots and i hope they pay attention to midlander 1 female, because this is a definitely another character!

my character is really cute, look at that, but after thid *upgrade* she looks... i have no words, i love that game and my character so much and i can not believe that changes, i even do not play right now, because that is really annoying, they need just give us hd textures or something like that!

I also registered today to give feedback on the changes, i really hope we get to see our original characters in the future.

I hope I'm not being rude by saying this but I do like how my character came out and the changes to her but... I don't want them to come at the expense of so many people being distanced from characters they've had for years. this is okay, she really looks nice and if you like that nice :3 but this is another face, my character has midlander 1 and there is a huge difference between an original and a new character :3

The change/removal to that white dot is making these comparisons so much worse.

In this side by side comparison, you can see that her cheeks have shrunken back significantly where they meet her nostrils, causing her nose to look much bigger and wider overall. This is nose 4, which I choose because it is the smallest and thinnest option available, so I don't like that it has been given such a larger emphasis in her facial balance.

Here's both traces overlayed on her benchmark appearance for a better visual of what I mean. Additionally, in this image you can see that the shape of her eye has been changed; her lower eyelid has a much more pronounced upward slant. You can see how much of her old eye was cut off by comparing the red and green lines. To me, this makes her look like she is squinting all the time.

Here are the clean screenshots in case anyone wants to judge my linework. I definitely didn't do a perfect job, but the nostril and eye differences are dramatic enough that it doesn't really matter.

Again, I feel the need to ask: Why these arbitrary changes? In my personal opinion the benchmark face doesn't look more natural or realistic aside from textures, and it came at the cost of a pretty large alteration to the overall balance of her face. What would have been wrong with just using the same general sculpt and updating the textures/lighting/etc?

(P.S. if anyone is wondering if these differences are because the faces might be very slightly rotated from one another, I made sure they weren't by selecting the inn background and making sure that not a single background element moved so much as a pixel when I tabbed between the game and the benchmark.)

Sorry in advance that I'm about to post this in every fem midlander thread, but I hope it can offer some more explanation as to what's been bugging all of us (especially since I imagine a LOT of us use nose 4), as well as provide more grounded feedback for the devs.

I'm also a face 1 Midlander with concerns. With current looks they looked like they had their eyes bulged out in fear, at worst, and only sometimes. The new stuff I saw in the benchmark made my character go from a pretty, young adult, to someone who looks like they're 14 and not even the same person.

It's to the point that Face 2 looks more faithful to my character's vision than the Face 1 update.

Your character is nearly the same as mine, I use a different eye shape though. At least, I do now. I used to use the same. I'm not really good with pointing out the specifics in this or what to address, but they look far too different when they're meant to be retaining as much of their former appearances as possible. Now it makes sense why they didn't show much of Midlander ladies prior to the benchmark.

On another note, your character is adorable. We need more face 1.
