Help! Can't find Dawntrail pre-order in Online Store or Mog Station

I searched both the MogStation and the FFXIV Online Store, on both my accounts, and found nothing that would let me even attempt to pre-order Dawntrail. When I checked "Expansions" the sites said there were none available for my accounts.
Edit: I'm a Windows PC subscriber in the US.
Edit2: I've tried using both Firefox and Edge.

Anyone else encountering this issue? Or am I just blind?

It's on their store site, but you're going to have to be a little patient. Everyone and their grandmother is trying to order it right now.

Can you please let me know which store site (of FFXIV Online Store and MogStation) it's on and where on that store site it is?
I've read that people are having trouble with checkout, but I can't find a way to even try to buy it!

You could just do a google search for FFXIV Dawntrail Preorder. Like literally the very first google result is their storefront

I actually did do a Google search (and DuckDuckGo, and Safari), but using "pre-order" instead of "preorder".
Thanks for the link! I didn't think to look in the SE store, as opposed to MogStation or the FFXIV Online Store!

I do apologize, that came off much more rude than was warranted.

You probably won't be able to get it anyway, their SSO servers seem to be completely unable to handle the load, totally offline. It's wild how unprepared they are for this, every time.

The Store login is completely broken. I was able to add the game to my cart and then use the "Checkout as guest" option via PayPal and it worked. It took me over an hour to even be able to add it to my cart and the guest checkout barely functioned as well. Best of luck!

I can get to the payment screen without issue, but I can't log in to my account without an error or 404 screen. I don't want to checkout as a guest lol.

And I'm not sure they were really "unprepared," or instead just thought that expanding the storefront's capacity just to handle a presumably very temporary surge wasn't worth the cost: most people probably will just wait and try again on encountering the logjam, as opposed to changing their minds about buying the game, so the lack of investment in capacity may not cost them any $$$ in the long run.

An ancient analog: My spouse worked checkout at a brick-and-mortar toy store during pre-XMas, and although the store did put on a little more staff, they didn't add any new registers. The lines were long, but most customers just put up with it.

I'm not checking out as a guest either, just going to wait until later. It's not like they are going to run out of digital keys, especially since they are locking folks down to only 1 copy per account.

Yeah if you aren't after the Collectors Edition there's no reason to rush it. I was trying to get that CE because I have no idea how long they'll last or how much inventory they have. Chances are it'll be around for at least a day or two but I wasn't risking it.

I'm trying to pre-order the digital collectors edition for DT but I'm not sure if it's on there. Can anyone verify for me?

This is why storefronts use cloud autoscaling - handles all this automatically and scales up and down with demand. This technology is well-tested, used widely. SE is just behind the curve. I know they were moving some things up, adoption is probably slower in some places than others.

Heh now they have a 'virtual queue' in front of the store, but the problem is the SSO server not the store so much.

I'm not stressed, I'd just like to have the XP-Boost earring before I continue leveling the alts I don't have at End-of-Content yet.

Same issue - took a while to see the Pre-Order and I've got it in the "Cart" but I keep getting error when I try to login to my Account before paying for it.

What I'm seeing on the store doesn't really look like it. Is it $39.99 I thought it was more

The price doesn't change when you select it, but it will show the $59.99 once it is in your cart. I think it's just from the site being broken right now.

You have to select the Digital collectors edition for the 59.99 version. But as we've all been saying, the site is borked. It's under too much load so you are going to see weird errors.

I finally got through guest checkout for the Collector's Box (I play on Steam) and using my registered e-mail as a guest is giving me a message that my points will be applied. It remains to be seen on whether they'll screw us over there or not. It's just ridiculous how this happens every time and they wouldn't have this problem is they didn't make these things so limited.

It took a few tries, but I got my first pre-order in as a guest. :)
Edit: 11:14AM -- my spouse just did a pre-order, no issues at all.
Edit: 7:21 PM -- first email with code fpr pre-order items arrived.
Three ordered, one delivered, one still to be ordered.

Indeed. It what I did as well just wanted to get the CE locked in. Was able to get through the edit address boss but the log in boss ugh. Lost out on 155 points but rather the CE then points. They just posted on X that if you used the same email when using guest checkout that's on your SE account you will still get the points when the item ships.

Maybe, but I just tried to check out as guest and it threw an error with a button to edit address after I started entering credit card data. And no, there aren't any actual errors with the address.

Just need to wait until the rush is over.

Just sucked it up and went guest mode to get purchase into the system. Pending Email update so I can get in-game awards setup.

I just pressed that button and tried to continue to payment again.
After four tries, I got through.

Are you trying to login? Because the SE store is broken right now and you can't log in to it. Just use guest checkout but with your email that you normally use for logging in, and then pay with Paypal. Credit card might work too, but I heard there were some issues with it.

The emails with the pre-order codes are delayed, though.

Ah, no wonder I've been having issues trying to login for the preorder. Guess I'll just wait.

So, I forgot how this works. If I login with my FFXIV account and buy the expansion, do I get the code in my orders page or email? I don't have access to my old email and they're probably not going to prioritize my request to change it over all the payment issues they have to help people with. If the expansion code shows up in orders I assume I could just redeem it without using my email.

You cannot pre-order Dawntrail from your FF14 account.

Consider there are 3 different 'stores' here:

FF14 Online Store: Where you buy housing, emotes, fashion accessories, fantasia, mounts, etc
Mog Station: Where you add sub time, retainers (and upgrade existing expansions to digital deluxe versions)
Square Enix Store: Where you buy the expansions themselves.

You have to specifically use the Square Enix Store (not the Mog Station or the Online Store FF14 account were you would add subscription time, or additional services like retainers) to buy the Expansion.
Doing so will give you the pre-order registration code. You can then go to your Mog Station and register the code i believe (under Enter Pre-order Bonus Code on Registration Codes, next to Enter Item Codes).

If you do not have your original email, i dont see why you couldnt buy the Expansion and check out as a guest, entering whatever email you do use, and you will eventually get the code in that email.

Also, update your email =D

I keep getting a "Bad gateway 502" error instead of going to checkout.....

I considered doing it as a guest but the page has had errors so I don't want to risk anything. I would update the email for the SE store account but their archaic system doesn't allow me to do it manually and I had to send a request to customer support. Who knows how long that's going to take...

If anyone knows where the code can be seen I'd appreciate it! Not in a rush, just impatient lol.

Been trying all day and from what I can see is the system engineers did not anticipate the amount of traffic on opening day and did not add servers to the cluster to accommodate the traffic and caused the system to take a proverbial 'dump' on everyone trying to log in and sign up ... I am a network engineer by trade but work with the systems guys hand in hand so I know someone screwed the pooch on this expansion .... now we need to wait a few days if not weeks just to be able to clear it up and log in ... I doubt they will prove me wrong

Yes, and thats the problem. The poster said they do not have access to the email associated with their account, so they should NOT log in with those credentials to buy from SE store. If they are logged in buying from SE Store with the same FF14 account credentials, it will email the code to the email registered to the account (and if poster doesn't have access to it, they wont get their pre-order code).

When you buy from the SE store, you do not have to log in. You can check out as a guest, and input the email you want (e.g. the one you still use). Then, when it emails you your code, you can log into the Mog Station and register the code sent to the email you used in guest checkout

SE has already said people that used guest checkout will get codes registered to their accounts if they used the same email as their account when they used guest checkout (because SE login has been broken all morning.)

I got a confirmation of my purchase but no code.

Which on the added anxiety of not being a very patient individual.
All I have is confirmation Square took my money.
I didn't receive a code or anything.

Just once I'd like it if interacting with Square Enix in any way on their own stores could for once be useful and not a headache.
I've filed three different support notes and they gave me a case code for em and I don't know how to find them to review if they were even responded to.
