Oops, I Made a Materia!

I’d like to pass on a quick bit of info for our players who are worried about accidentally materia converting precious gear such as primal weapons or equipment melded with multiple materia.

While there is already a confirmation window when converting, we feel there is still some room to add measures to prevent accidental conversion (due to misclicks, getting caught up in the heat of the moment when you’re on a conversion roll, etc., etc.) and heading towards version 2.0 we will be looking into countermeasure options.

Allow us to select gear which we can "lock" so regardless of how many times we may hit the "create materia" button on said item we wouldn't be able to .

That's just a bit too much hand holding lol.

I never really had a problem with accidental materia.

Dude, you have to put a check in a box next to "This item has materia melded to it. Are you sure you want to do this?" That is more than enough. If you break your melded stuff, it's your own damn fault. It would be your own fault anyway.

I converted myself into a materia once. I got better though!

It must have become a Mind II materia. It's allllways Mind II.

I don't always accidentally materia myself. but when I do it's Mind II.

Convert all the community reps!

We've got to get something good out of them sooner or later...

This just brought to mind the concept of merging materia in order to up its grade:

2x grade 1 materia (of the same type) > Grade 2 materia (lowest value)
2x grade 2 materia (of the same type)> Grade 3 materia (lowest value)
2x grade 3 materia (of the same type)> Grade 4 materia (lowest value)

Please oh please implement this type of feature.

Heck I wouldn't mind if it was 3-4 per 1 upgrade.

Frankly a check box system would be great... even if its only for selling back to a npc ... sell all my random vegetables and feathers in just a few clicks rather then wait out each individual sale? <Yes please>

Also add a "BUY BACK" feature pls!!!

A block materia converter into the equipment and acessories seems more efficient than the check box, I also converted a weapon in a middle of a conversation.

He agrees that there should be a function to make any gear we choose Non-convertable. Some how, he managed to convert a weapon into a materia on accident by chatting? (not sure how that's possible.)

I'm sure if a player were drunk there would be preventions for letting them to anything in-game. My gawd, as if a simple confirmation wasn't enough.

My whole point is, there's gratification and disappointment in life no matter what(might as well make melding 100% successful).

I hope in 2.0 there's a downsizing in UI and "hand-holding" mechanics. I think it'll make the game run smoother...(lol)
