hear me out raiders...

remove the token system from old raids not the current ones, (alexander - eden for example in endwalker terms) and let us buy the gear with tomes, the token system especially queuing up to alexander normal seems very useless and pointless...if we wanted to do the fights again, we dont need much reason to fight them...just make savage gear 1000+ poetics...that way the new raids should have the token system...and there is less flutter in our inventories.

No, do the raids. They are easy enough when overlevelling them as is. Not everything needs to be turned into a tomestone grind, outdated content or not.

Farm as much as you need and trash the remaining drops.

Your idea to let such raids also simply produce an obscene amount of tomestones which affects other parts of the game as well which isnt innocently picking up gear isn't exactly great.

Im gonna agree with this. The very older raid content in of itself at this point is now solo content with unsync; with the synced party version now relegated to roulette fodder.

This change isnt going to affect anyone trying to queue up for the raids normally.

Not hard to do the raids and it means more people queue for them to help first timers.

A better way to handle tokens would be to convert them to currencies. Give us a Raid tab in there that we can sort by expansion and we solve the inventory issue without also making old raids feeling pointless.

The problem isnt how easy it is, it is how fun it is. Old content in unsync is that trivial its not even fun. And in sync most people wont even bother.

And yes, the normal content might still be easy to trigger, but the savage content wont (which is required for a dyable piece). So it just comes down to asking a few other players to grind for some pieces. It doesnt feel rewarding at all to do that.

Changing something here could definitely improve the system. The poetics idea is garbage though as i still think the raids should at least be played. But maybe for this the normal content now just gives an eden token (alternatively there is a seperate token per raid), and to buy the piece it just requires a certain number (or a set) of tokens (like a set of 1,2,3,4 allows you to buy any piece of the first set of raids). For savage the numbers could even be increased here (where the dyable piece also demands more tokens).

But this only realy works for content that is trivial to beat, while the lvl 80 raids arent difficult anymore with a group of 8, they are still generaly nice to play with a more normal difficulty like experience. And thats still something i would hope gets promoted.

The problem here is that those raids dont have rewards similar to the trials (where each one can give a mount). And gear pieces to many players arent a collectible. So maybe some collectibles have to be added that can also be bought with the newer resource.

if you wanted to run the fight...you would JUST for the fight...many party finders over the years show that there is a little intrest if you want to go into savage for JUST the gear...unless they want to get bis for ultimates and lets be honest...u dont need bis for ucob or uwu anymore, lol i would say tea in dawntrail...thats why i say sell them at a increase amount while removing alot of the clutter from BOTH normal and savage....like when the last time YOU went into idyllshire just to look at alexandrian gear!?

this is not a matter of grinding them overleveled...its a matter of getting rid of OLD and outdated tokens from the game which serves no purpose other than clutter....for savage...besides getting bis for the current ultimate...its useless...if you wanted to do the fight just for the fight, u would do it

Youre forgetting that people who go back to these old raids do it unsynced now for glam farm.

The synced raids are part of the normal raid queue so people needing to get their first time clear experience can do so anywah

there is already that, implemented, im not saying make pandamondium gear buyable with tomes at endwalker...no, lol im saying in endwalker terms, they need to consider for example turning alexander or at least omega's gear into tomes since...in normal alexander, u get a tarnished alexandrian gear that is virtually useless at this point, in the case of alexander, in dawntrail it will be 10 years since that gearing system was implemented...who is honestly going into savage for dyable versions of it?

The gear is a reward for doing the specific raid.

Poetics can be earned from almost any instanced content level 50+ to one below level cap.

Let's not make the raid gear available for tomestones. If you want the gear, do the raid. It's not like there's a weekly limit to force you hold the tokens for a couple of weeks before you can buy the item you want.

The reason you have the clutter in your inventory is because you're not using the tokens. If you're not using the tokens, it seems like it's not the gear you're after in the first place so there's no point in switching them to poetics.

If you don't want the tokens in your inventory, don't roll on them (or open the chest if you're solo). Easy fix.

would be easier if only u didnt get the clutter like tarnished alexandrian gear through just clearing the fights, lol i get a good majority doesnt want it to be that way b/c gatekeeping reasons, but who is actually unsyncing and doing these fights just for the gear nowadays? at this point its just a useless system for OLD raids, especially old normal raids where people clear them with ease.

yea its easier to unsync farm them...but why do we need that extra step just for gear? give me what purpose does it make to "farm" for glam just so u can feel like u can raid it? a random person can still do that unsync so whatever glam choices and reasonings u are making feels very gatekeeping...this game should get rid of old assets if they arent used long enough, i dont see whats so hard about losing assets to free up memory!?

Yeah but I think its good if its just more poetic fodder. People run roulettes and inadverntenly get poetics which most either dump them into GC seal conversions or Unspoiled Thanalan Grade 3, (and soon enough EW glam relics lol) so being able to have the option to buy really old raid gear for glam is an enticing side reward and its relatively harmless imo.

Obviously if you want to get a specific piece you can just unsync farm it yourself but believing that people run synced runs of these old raids to glam farm? Very delusional

I wouldn't mind as long as it required beating the fight.

Most savage raid gear is ugly as sin. Do what you want with it, just keep it away from me.

(To clarify, healer main, maybe 3 sets come to mind as actually looking neat to me, SCOB, Midas and the first Eden tier?)

More seriously though, why not make more craftable sets as a Gil sink and extension to the Replica sets we have now?
