Out of 8203 votes (at this moment) about 6 thousand players agreed that glamour should NOT be role locked.
Most commenters agreed that only weapons and Artifact Armor should continue be locked to their respective jobs.
Therefore, PLEASE SQUARE ENIX, I BEG OF YOU! Please, unlock glamours!

I dunno, man. It's gonna be weird seeing casters in full plate armor lol. That being said, I'm not entirely opposed to it.

Artifact Armor goes straight into the dumpster as soon as I can get rid of it. I have no use for glamours that literally only one job can wear, especially with our limited glamour plates and dresser space.

In the unlikely event they did lift Glamour restrictions, there's nothing stopping you personally from adhering to them, regardless. :) Others wearing a mix of other Roles' gear meanwhile can't possibly be any worse than the various beachwear and animal costumes for All Classes people already run around in. If anything, I'd argue it would be an improvement...

During most of my journey through HW, SB and ShB I was wearing a COWBOY glamour, as PLD, SAM, DRK, and RDM.
In my last Nier alliance raid the main tank was wearing Hawaiian shirt and a white underwear.
That being said, I have no idea of what your beloved job identity even means nowadays. -

People always go "Buh buh buh what if mage wears armour" completely missing or ignoring the fact we can already do that several times over, but you cannot dye the bogatyr's top of casting, but brd/mch/dnc can dye their copy pasted version.

I think at this point the real reason they aren't open to lift glamour restrictions is that this would mean job recolor/reused gear will be even more noticable as they tend to only make 3~ish unique gear looks of a set as of late
It's not hard to see why there are so many 3rd party utility users around lately thanks to that as well -

If they want people to stop using 3rd party apps, then they have to remove role restriction for glamour, it's really not that hard to understand.
