Suggestion - Tank LB should have role-based raise

I think most people agree that tank LB is fairly useless except on the fights where it's mandatory to survive a mechanic.
But what if it didn't have to be?

Many, many fights the tank is the last one alive and then that's it. The tank is left to solo the fight and many times succeed. That leaves 6-7 people to cheer on for 10 minutes while the warrior finishes the boss.

I think tank LB, 1 2 and 3, all of them, should raise healers by role. Only healers. That way if all the healers are dead for whatever the reason may be, the tank has an opportunity to get them back in the fight - and only them. But without making it a job ability so it has to be earned, used sparingly, and can prevent forced suicides.

it makes it not good enough to save a savage kill run or ultimate, as you'll likely hit enrage, but it can help prog, or stop group wipe because the healer died.

No thanks. Between that, the insane tank sustain and having jobs like DNC who can help with healing, why would you ever run a healer again?

The LB system definitely needs changes. People also need to get it out of their heads that you should never use tank LB unless you need it for a mechanic. Even LB2 can save a run when you use it at the right time.

I agree. The amounts of times a tank LB saved a run is nothing short of amazing. xD

Tank LB is fine as it is and can still be used in creative ways to help with prog, or bypass certain mechanics (red fists in o11s) then becomes as obsolete as a Healer LB once the party knows what they are doing on the fight.

Melee LB 3 is going to be the predominant go to LB in the game, with the exception of if there is multiple targets, but SE have not made a single good savage turn since o3s that makes use of adds personally, o7s was okay, but o3s was just better overall.

I do feel adding a raise onto a tank LB would also remove a level of difficulty that comes from progressing a fight too. End of the day, if you wipe you wipe, no big deal, just go again.

I’d rather see an overhaul to the LB system, I think it would be fun if everyone got personal LBs like in PvP. Right now it feels like tank and healer LBs are just there for prog, scripted mechanics and cheese strats, then it’s just dps LBs to end the fight faster once you know the mechs.

With personal LBs everyone would have something to use and be able to decide when to use it. Would it become just another scripted ability you use like any other cooldown? Maybe. But I’d prefer to have a button that’s just a glorified cooldown that I actually get to press more than once in a blue moon than a shared LB that I barely get to even use.

We already have those: the tank invulns.

Nah the entire LB system needs to be overhauled, as it currently stands 99% of scenarios goes to Melee DPS lb

Caster/Range LB is only for near-neglibile extra damage when pulling in alliance raid content
Healer LB ideally is never used
Tank LB exists for normal mode cinematic gotcha mechanics, and the occasional savage mechanic skip

I'd rather them just redo the system entirely

We don't have a way to bring a rezzer back into the fight, which can mean like say you're 4 minutes into a fight and your healers clip each other for whatever reason, 6 people still alive none of them are rez mages. Fight ends.
If tanks could sac the LB to bring them back it would offer some balance to the fights. An emergency earned raise

Just wipe and go again, it's not the end of the world, plenty of ultimate fights can be 15 or 16 minutes in and have a wipe occur and you just go again, that's part of the challenge, raise on tank LB in unnecessary.

rework LBs, the system like in pvp could be cool but would need work in old fights.

No tank should get raise though, I'd argue removing it from Summoner if anything. Healers in general need more going for them anyway.

I hate things being convenient. The point of a videogame is to supply manageable challenges.

Rather than trying to kludge new functionality onto the limit break, just make phoenix downs stackable and usable in combat with a five- or ten-minute cooldown so anyone can rez someone else once. Then make combat harder.

Just say you are lazy and hate a challenge and love things just handed to you. It takes fewer words.

No, tank sustain needs to go down. Especially now that their damage throughput has been streamlined, there is no excuse for Warrior in particular to be healing as much as it currently is.
