I'm sure there will be a lot of players thrilled by the new items, but personally I don't find them that interesting.

Also, cash shop revenue goes back into FFXIV. It's your subscription that's going to support FFXVII.

It’s almost like they’re surprised they put stuff into the cash shop, there is still plenty of gear, mounts and minions etc in the game which you can earn in game unlike say WoW, ESO, BDO, Blue Protocol etc etc

Don't like it? Don't buy it. It's optional. It only affects you if you willing to shell out the dough. Been playing this game for years and had a lot of fun with it. Never bought one thing.

It affects players when the in-game stuff are pale in comparison, it's not fun to play the game anymore and time to unsub, action will speaks louder.

Fanfest-exclusive stuff is in the shop and people are going nuts about that already.

Did I miss something that, summer event stuff is straight up in the cash shop? I expected the cheer sticks to be in the next moonfire faire event, but this is literally just... not right??

I spend almost $500 a month on Fantasias from the cash shop. No regrets.

I'm not a cash shop hater, but damn that price tag is excessive.

The bike with alpha is so cute! The price.. not so much.

Did Yoshi-P confirm recently that this was still the case? Because he said a LOT of things 10 years ago that are no longer true today.

This stuff most change a lot based on meta . Subs doesn't grow forever.

I hope they add tomestone and housing plot too!
Imagine:
Spend $5 for 1000 tomes
$50 for large individual plot
$75 for FC plots!

Come on, you know most of our shop was available for 'free' during in-game events. Some prices are higher than market tendecy and others (like emotes) are low. Content exclusive for the shop must be lower than 20%.

I hate cash shop on a sub-based game.

I hate the price tag of cash shop items because I find them unreasonable.

But I’m still going to buy them.

The sky can fall, the earth can rot, the world can burn, but my Hrothgar must look fabulous.

2-player mount costing more than 4-player mount, and almost same as 8-player mount.

What a time to be alive.

Nothing new with this, it's just getting worse overtime.

Why would you only rely on sub money requiring you to make enough content to keep people busy/happy when you can just milk small spender for a fraction of the work ?

Not that I disagree but the justification of tying passenger size to price is already nonexistent. Even a relation of effort invested in making the mount with multiple passengers vs price on the store is loose at best, as seen in no clearer example than the 8 player lunar whale.

What is so cool about it? The price is a bit excessive but do you really want to run around with alpha next to all the time? For that price the mount should be a true 2 seater. Personally I rarely buy mogstation items other than skips for my alts and a few basic emotes like dote and songbird.

Edit: Oh it is 2 person but I guess the second person sits behind the driver with alpha a permanent addition?

almost 30€ for a mount, yeah f- off SE.

I always wanted a motorcycle that was two seater. the side car alpha just kills it for me but i'm sure many will be at my hunts when i go this morning! :)

They had already started selling the Fan Fest goodies that came with the ticket for people who didn't/couldn't go so that's not shocking, but now they're not even giving them to Fan Fest goers either and are just straight up selling everything lol

It was never the case. All he said originally was that they would like to use the earnings from Mogstation to make improvements to the game such as extra Data Centers, which they have done, but it was never said that Mogstation earnings were exclusively for them vs. other earnings going to other games.

It's been a years long game of telephone with that statement so many people now believe it to be true.

Actually kinda irritated because it was speculated that bike would come from Island Sanctuary.

So, has every new mount outside of the Axo that was datamined ended up on Mog instead of actual content? I'm really struggling to think of ones that didn't.

Side note, are we just not getting Moonfire this year since they're already discounting the glam from last years?

Yeah keep simping for the billion dollar company. People in FF14 are too forgiving because the game is still good enough to tolerate this crap.
Why make content for the game and put work into it to get subscriptions when you can sell some pixel for 3 months worth of subs instead.

$33 ($37 when not on sale) for a mount like this is too much. I'd put up with the cash shop a lot more if things were half the price they're at right now. Feels like every month there's a new mount added to the shop for like $30

The cheer set looks nice, the rest is meh. A bike should not cost that much.
