*Force Field: Seems too random to be reliable, but it's another tank skill
*Ruby Dynamics: AoE Rose of Destruction, but equal to a standard GCD with no falloff damage, might have use in treasure dungeons
*Divination Rune: Twice as strong as Blood Drain but only restores 200 MP per hit, might have use in treasure dungeons
*Schiltron: Arguably better than its two sister spells, might have use in treasure dungeons

*Wild Rage: Could have potential with Revenge Blast, but it's risky to use alone and not effective in groups of White Wind-spammers
*Apokalypsis: Awesome animation, but you're too busy to use it and it takes too many ticks to be stronger than Being Mortal, it's even weaker than Phantom Flurry despite being twice as long
*Laser Eye: Can't see any situations where the knockback is useful, but the radius is bigger than its sister spells

*Right Round: It's a weaker, riskier Malediction of Water
*Dimensional Shift: I guess it's better than Launcher...but that's a low bar
*Rehydration: I think they made the cast time long so newbies wouldn't spam it

So, is this more or less faithful than the in-game star rankings?

You let the stacks build, and use the 4th to get the buff, but don't touch the 3rd? ... intersting.

When you use it with 3 stacks up, your stacks go away and it goes on a 90 second cooldown. You also get the buff that boosts Conviction Marcato for 10 seconds

Apokalypsis being that long is precisely why it's going to be a better Moon Flute ender than Phantom Flurry, so I would say the DPS will probably take it over Being Mortal.

Isn't it better to use Mortal Flame as a DPS, because that way it'd be buffed by the DPS mimicry? Unless it's just unable to crit at all, having a constant 60p (bristle) DOT with massively increased chance to crit sounds pretty good, same with Breath of Magic I'd have thought

I just tested it, Mortal Flame ticks fluctuate from 700 to 1200 and Breath of Magic ticks fluctuate from 2200 to 3700, so they can both crit and direct hit, meaning DPS should have priority on those.

The 1s cast time allows double weaving and it has four uses. Devour and Magic Hammer were the only other 1s GCD cooldowns, but they weren't crucial DPS actions damage-wise even if they are slight gains.

It does at least tick 11 times to Phantom Flurry's six, and the entire duration still gets buffed by the flute, so it depends on how many times the flute gets used.

It doesn't deal direct damage (nor BoM), but the DoT ticks can still crit/dh, so it depends on whether it interacts with the mimicry constantly or only on application. It's also permanently buffed by Bristle and Moon Flute, so it may be worth using in an opener after all.

If your the only one, going solo, you want a buffed DOT that lasts forever, sure.

If you are in a group, let somebody else have it.

There's even an argument for phantom flurry, and then flurry AGAIN to do the second hit as fast as possible, and then fire Apokalpsis, but you need max possible spellspeed and ping like a god.

I got into an argument with another Blue Mage in PF using Apokalypsis. They insisted it was better than Flurry at the end of Flute Windows. Being Mortal and Flurry in Flute Window is a significantly larger gain than just Apokalypsis.

I love goblin punch. I like to solo stuff. That is made just for me. So Does breath of magic And mortal flame since only one can be applied at once.

Force Field is a no star for me
