Do you think that they will ever allow you to send gil between characters? Specifically if I wanted to send gil from my character to an alt that I've created? I know they take issue with sending gil to other players (which is ridiculous when other MMORPGs allow it), but if you wanted to send between you own characters, I don't see where the issue would be :P

They don't cause bot/gold sellers but that really doesn't stop them does it? They may nail them in waves but the damage is long done and the new one is up to bat immediately.

Short answer: Never
FFXIV is not alt friendly, in any way shape or form. Store items are (usually) one per character. Progress is per character. Unlocks are per character. Achievements are per character. If I want to alt up, I lose everything I have achieved, from my main. It's a real disincentive to try out different worlds, different DCs. I don't want to unlock everything again. Above anything else in the game, it's the one thing I wish they would change. Even if its not mog-store stuff. If I have unlocked it in game, let me have it on any character, tied to that service account. -

They haven't allowed it from the beginning due to RMT, along with a lot of other measures - it's why trial accounts have so many restrictions as well, you can blame the RMT bots for getting trial accounts so gutted. Now it just means they steal accounts via their "omg I can't believe this was announced!" fake forums links so they don't have those restrictions, but you still can't send gil to your alts.Quote:

if your an altoholic like me then you'll either have to use the marketboard to send items/gil to your alts (which is risky) or do what i did and start your own guild so you can safely send item/gil to your alts via the company chest
the fact that they patched out the ability to d/c on your alt then befriend it on your main so you could send items tells us they'll dont want us to send mail to alts for some stupid reason -

i just use a mannequin and to sell stuff to myself and or vice versa or if I am not at able to get to housing due o being low level or just flat out lazy, i just throw some random bs item on the market board and just mark up a bit to sell/buy between alts. I
