More Veteran Rewards!

I want more veteran rewards! I have played the game for a long time and my alts are tired of the same old gear! I want a Banana outfit as the next veteran reward! It would be silly and I think it would be funny to have! :cool:

They should just change them to "Well, you almost lasted a year Rewards"

Most of those achievement token rewards from that 1 NPC used to be veteran rewards. Then people started complaining about having to play the game a long time to get them so the system has mostly been scrapped. They do however need to add more stuff to that achievement token NPC as I have a mountain of those things and have everything available on it. Why not use it as the vendor to buy clothing glamours for character from other FF or SE games in general?

Putting more things to the vendor would mean you need more tokens. More tokens needed would mean you have to play the game for a longer time to get them. And then people would start to complain again that they have to play the game for a long time to get the rewards.

Sad, but probably true. And I think they don't want to put that many things "for free" to the vendor.

You could choose to spend the tokens on the things most important to you instead of buying everything then going "what now, SE? I still have 30 tokens left".

I don't really care about most of the items I've purchased with achievement tokens. It was more "might as well, nothing else left to spend them on".

Those things aren't truly free. They do represent an investment in game time, and for most players that means paying a subscription. Are they even available to those on the free trial?

They stopped making these. They come as achievement rewards now.

They should bring them back! I want a lot of fun rewards to be introduced :)

They won't. People complained if they just started they needed to wait several years to get those rewards. Imagine if they had a 5 year vet reward and you JUST started now. You'd have to wait 5 years from today to get that one item.

Yup. Ppl want loyalty rewards without having to be loyal. :P

They can get most of the old rewards faster with the new system... Provided they actually play the game... >.>

The main problem is that they made them be classic FF character outfits, people wanted the Squall jacket specifically and didn't want to wait and sub for several years to get it. If they had put something else in there it wouldn't have been as much of a problem and we could still get veteran rewards. Like unique glams and mounts and minions, or a fantasia for every year, or whatever. But they made a terrible decision to make it eventually be almost entirely FF character glams and then just threw the whole system out.

I've got over 300 tokens and nothing to spend them on.

It'd be nice if they added consumable items like rare dyes to them. Not the sellable kind, just the Mogstation kind. I'd happily drop 10 tokens on Jet Black Dye.

I think that stuff should come back, because all legacy accounts still get advantages (cheaper sub, tattoo, sometimes different dialogs).
And that just because they played the game 'at the right time.' Just because they subbed some month, while the game was not good. Somehow, as a reward for their support.
Meanwhile all players who really(!) support the game overs many many years with serveral tousands of subdays get nothing.

Thats why I think that the veteran rewards should come back. Or the legacy stuff has to go. It's not really fair, how it is atm. : )

Agreed. I'm sitting at 353 achievement tokens, and really wish we had more to spend them on than the one-time use stuff, that gets a new item once every 3-4 years(or at least feels like it's that long), and the odd housing item/glam that I already have.

It's only speculation by me but I feel like the lack of better rewards for things like achievement tokens, variant dungeons or any of the hundred of currencies we collect is because they don't want anything that they could charge money for in the mog shop available in the game for in game currency. So the really good items are either limited time events which then become mog shop items, or are just mog shop items. If you put items, even just glamour items, in game stores then it detracts from what people will spend money on in the mog shop.

nah legacy stuff can stay they stuck with game through bad times up till the end and they came back. I remember the game being super empty for about the first year after the game relaunch but they really need to do something about the achievement rewards though. they only two things which were orchestration recently and that took a few years. to add some in game music available =/

I would defently support this, at some point we should call ourselves legends for subbed for many years similar with those that started the game with their tattoos, at some point we also should deserve our own personal legend tattoo :)
