Ninja, Bard, white mage and dancer and judging by how coordinated they were, they were 100% in a voice call.

This season in particular that has been happening a lot. Where all 5 people break away in perfect unison to unalive someone. Voice chat wouldn't really surprise me since PVP discords exist and they used to queue sync then room up in classic wow after premade groups got busted up in RBGs and I know loads of people who queue sync and have been since season one here. Personally I have always preferred to queue solo in all forms of pvp because I don't really hang with people who also like pvp in MMOs. Maybe if they trial group queues it would discourage a decent amount of this behavior. At least until everyone figures out, they aren't as good as they thought they were. xD

Purify was used but im the only one actually trying to fight therefore i get imped.

Team-mates running around with head cut off.

and the way the enemy was fighting implied either voice chat or they just had some really nice callouts with the quickchat (god speed to anybody who actually can use that effectively)

You cannot carry dead weight no matter how good you are in CC so you are better off just leaving and playing something else.

Theres also the fact that people who cant/wont que in ranked are now pug stomping in CC to get their rocks off (which honestly is no different then smerfing)

Just with my wife and me i can see how easy it is to be in the same group or at least the same match, i dont even wanna imagine what happens if you got 8-12 ppl que up >_>

but yeah all the stuns etc are just too much...

Its called markers and quick chat... I mark players with a macro that also pings the "targeting" quick chat. Its not hard to get randos to coordinate in CC if they are half competent. Groups that are lucky enough to get players with brain cells that pay attention does not mean they were all in voice chat lmao.

That's exactly what it sounds like to me lol. I've lost count of how many times I've seen players think they can be the hero and dive into a 1v4.

And there's the issue. A vast majority of folks in CC are grossly incompetent. I also use the "Mark target while also pinging quick chat" thing and rarely, extremely rarely, does anyone pay attention and actually coordinate on the target. I get frustrated sometimes, but there's always going to be that one match that is just a wash, so just let it go and move on. You have to work with the chaos and get a feel for what your team is doing. Realistically you just need 1 person to pay attention and you can usually reliably kill anyone you mark. Whenever I play BRD I mark whoever I'm about to silence and throw my burst at and I'd say about 80% of the time they get nuked if its someone that is above 50% HP. If I'm getting teammates that don't help focus I just look for those who are low and I silence/burst and can usually kill them myself.

Otherwise you could just play jobs that have significantly higher impact on solo play like DRG or MCH who have extremely reliable killing power. MCH has very good killing power in both regular skill combos and combos with their LB. DRG is a great hit and run with a fantastic LB that can control the flow of what's going on with the point. Just simple examples for that kind of play.

Sadly there's not much point in playing ranked unless you want to compete for top 1 or something, last season it took me like 30 wins to get top 100 on my main because there's so little competition on Light DC. Hell, in earlier Season the cutoff for t100 was in Diamond instead of low Crystal.

This leaves playing Casual as the main option since the games pop around the day. I feel kinda bad for the random people trying it out, they would have more balanced matches in low ranked.

ehh, i don't think they need to remove tanks and healers from pvp they just need to revert some changes, if they revert the CC resistance (I.e getting hit with stun then becoming immune for a short time after as this is how it used to be, worked just fine.) they also need to revert the damage resistances for tanks and melee in frontline, theres no reason why they need to be so darn hard to kill while healers and ranged dps are so squishy...
all this does is make people focus down these classes for easy kills while ignoring melee classes 99% of the time.

Stuns only last 2-3 seconds. We really don't need DR.

They did remove tanks and healers. CC is role agnostic now and everyone is a DPS with "flavors" of their roles. The only tank that's remotely "tanky" is paladin. WAR is a free kill, DRK is only tanky during their LB and GNB has to rely on an awful junction system and if its an all "dps" fight they are even squishier than WAR.

To be honest. His arguments are all common knowledge in moba's. Far too many players think they are good yet make the same mistake over and over again. Yet in a good game they suddenly show on top and think they are gods. Its nearly always those players that end up going 1v4 and die. They are not aware of the metagame that goes on. They can at most do micro, which (especialy with the latencies in this game) is something you cant always do when the enemy simply has a better metagame.

Skill is not just doing the abilities and hitting a lot. Its consistency in avoiding your own deaths. As when you are dead, you dont provide anything to your team (and even feed the enemy). Map awareness is often more important and enables shotcalling. Be good at that, and even if your micro isnt as good, you are still going to turn the battle around, because you avoid deaths of your teammates by warning them early.

And yes, in mobas some players realy dont like being warned just before their death. But this 'blaming' only shows them they already made a mistake well before their actual death. It might not be preventable at that point. But this pattern is something that enables the players to improve.

The only issue that consistently shows up in FF is that its very latency dependant, and this latency causes most of the balance issues. As it doesnt matter you can be stunlocked, if latency wasnt an issue, your teammates can cover you reliably. And at the same time you can respond more reliably towards a risky situation (which you cant always avoid).

And sometimes matchmaking just give a single team a massive advantage by simply not giving them a player that 'throws', while sometimes giving another team several of them (giving you the sense you can only babysit at best). PvP games can be realy harsh here. Best is to just accept and move on, or have truly valid arguments on what causes balance problems.

dude, i really don't need to hear Captain obvious to tell me about stuff i already know, i got people who were bad on my team and they never stuck together or grouped up, nobody used quickchat and i was getting CCed because i was the only one dealing damage to the healer. literally i died because i was getting stunlocked every 3 seconds, thats not fun, its cancer. so i left.

So adjust and run with them? Congrats you have now lowered your chances of being targeted instead of placing yourself into a 1v3 or 1v4 situation.

So your teammates were extremely bad and you ragequited. Well done, you did the most logical thing to do in any online game. No need to make a thread complaining about a mechanic because your teammates are bad, every team game suffers from bad teammates. Bad teammates can any good mechanic look OP when the enemy uses it.

Dont blame the mechanics on that, blame the players in this case. Yet you were complaining about him arguing for the sake of arguing, yet you decide to face that with ignorance. If all knowledge is obvious, its also obvious that there is no point balancing the game towards this. Invalidating the entire thread. Make a clear statement on how a mechanic is broken, and dont use bad teammates for that. Bad teammates in shooters are no argument for reducing the damage players can deal.
