I find it mind-boggling they gender locked the outfits when they just unlocked another Valentione's sets literally two weeks ago.
Just. Why.
Ah... both outfits are great! A pity they went back with male/female only though unless they were made way before even thinking on that.
Also Hrothgars please do not consume too much chocolate
Since hat removes ears can Viera wear them?
I hope there is a way to obtain both sets because swapping items at the calamity salvager every time you fantasia is a pain.
This would be my guess. What annoys me is that it sounds from the event description as though it will only let you get the outfit for your current gender; I grabbed the Valentione's waistcoat back when that was the current event reward because I figured I could glam a retainer into it, and then I would have it "just in case" if they ever unlocked it. (Which they did! So, yay!)
Sounds like I would need to buy two fantasias and temporarily swap if I wanted to do that this year, and that's... nah, not willing.
Its things like this, that make me think that a part of SE just works in a different schedule. One so far ahead that they most likely didn't get into the swing of Unrestricted day 0 when they designed the Glamour.
[and lo and behold, just wait til people think they can use this in their arguments]
Though I fully expect that they'll unlock it in the future.
it's odd that the items are in Coffers. though unless it's for ease of "purchase" in the event.[or to get people to Mogstore later] I cannot tell.
If only we knew the exact level of people on deck they had, or how preemptive their work is for Event Rewards. then we'd at least have an idea what they have in mind.
I will hope I can get both and store them for later.
I like the outfits but 2 things i hate about it is the ears disappearing and that i can't wear the male chest piece, as soon as i saw it i got a lot of ideas how to mix it with other stuff but sadly i can't use it unless i fantasia which i'm not gonna do
I'm pretty sure that previous event only automatically gave you the set for your gender and you had to earn the other, and in any case I think you can now buy it from the Calamity Salvager (or the other one that deals with seasonal gear).
Also worth noting that the coffers are labelled "vested" and "frilled" rather than by gender, in line with the recent renaming of the old sets. I think all signs point to it being a future unlock, even though it does seem an odd order to tackle it in.
Hopefully it's just a sign that they will slowly be able to more efficiently automate the adjustment processes for the races(requiring less finishing touches before they finish the craft)
I noticed that as well, the way they had been named.[found out about the post when that one YT Channel posted it as soon as it was out as usual.]
[Though I can't be bothered to check all the variations names. but at first glance from what I recall of said video, the names didn't explicitly have a leaning pronoun.]
The genderlock on these outfits makes zero sense. The items already have models for the other gender fully working in the files as shown by... certain videos on youtube.
Did someone forget to tell the event designers to adjust the rewards?
Oh nice!
I love all the /eat emotes.
I love the dress and cookie!
No need to "worry" the gear is not genderlocked, or won't be for long. There is a preview online showing the outfit on both genders. There might just be a technical reason why the outfit it locked currently. You can sorta tell because of the names of the outfits, they aren't gender specific.
Although a note about the outfit becoming unlocked a bit later might soften things, lol.
Love the dress, normally I find the furniture a bit too on brand for the event to use outside of something like a themed room but this table is very cute.
Shame about the hat, but I guess we've gotten quite a lot of hair-pin type headgear lately.
Initially, disappointed. Not excited for the event when I can't wear the outfit I prefer. I look a lot better in dresses than my character does. It's just not her style.
Then I heard that it's being unlocked or something? If so, acceptable. Annoying we will probably get an initial release where I can't wear the outfit I want, but I also realize seasonal stuff is often made way in advance of the event.
Would have liked the dress underneath the coat to be honest
I wish I could get both sets but I'm still very pleased. Nice dress, nice emote, nice-ish table...
I feel like the dress is a bit awkwardly short. I think it would probably look better around knee length.
So no one wants to talk about the awkward Hersey squirt kiss rug?
The glam looks really good. Overall really decent stuff!
Anyone know if the red on the top can be dyed out?
On reddit, people that datamined these outfits are saying that the items are partially gender unlocked in the game files, but apparently by what we're seeing in this special site, they're not ready?
I suppose it's something they'll finish in the future probably prior to the next Valentiones to give people incentive to buy the alternate version in the mogstation lol.
Reminds me of Videos I've seen of VR("Social Hubs") where people get infatuated with one character and make endless amount of Variations of one character and make excessive lore.[Like Ultra Instinct Shaggy]
in either case, now caught up with the thread, curious to see how people combine it with other items. (I find it unlikely to meld into my current Glamours. but Still curious what can be gotten away with it. since some think the no man's land that skirt reaches would deny anything other than leggings.)
Why complain about the outfit’s default gender lock? It’ll be fixed by a mod on the same day! ;)
Kudos to our hard-working outfit designers…no, not the ones on the payroll.
what is the hairstyle the left NPC is using on the event art?
If it's so low effort to change then doesn't that just make SE look worse?
