They'll keep nerfing nin in pvp until monk and drg are the only melees worth playing, again.

PVP changes always making the PvE changes look dull and boring.

I wonder if they did that because of the tactics ogre remake.
No they don't, I play exclusively Frontlines almost everyday and I never see a single MNK doing something useful besides being a meatshield or feeder, their combo deals little to no damage.
You are telling me that you are going to dive in between 10 players to push a random enemy to your team to get an assisted kill? that's never going to work against decent players.
Go check the damage output after every match its a miracle if they can deal more than500k damage per map.
Maybe they are fun to play in BR because you can troll and push people outside the bridge.
Right now the top Melee DPS classes in FR are DRG/NIN/SAM/RPR.
There is no reason to play MNK right now when you can roll an entire alliance as NIN.

Welcome to Frontlines a mode when you have to fight 48 players on screen and you are never going to duel someone 1vs1 unless you are playing off the objective. Why play as MNK to be tanky when RPR/NIN exists? their ultimate's are more useful than bringing out someone off guard (RPR does it in a AOE and charges it quickly) they deal more damage, can secure kills, NIN can stun you from range, DRG can play as a "range job" and Reaper its literally unkilleable if you rotate your CD'S properly.
Before the PVP DEF% patch, MNK were extremely dangerous because no matter what job you are they could 1 shot you with max BH with no effort.
No PvE Dancer buffs? I thought the Phys Ranged jobs were getting buffed because of the whole 'ranged tax' thing, surely that applies to Dancer too?

They buffed MNK in PVP?! They really didn't need to have even more survivability.
Did you know they want NIN to play somewhere between black mage and garbage mage at some point? Just you wait, this is only the beginning.

I'm hyped for the gear that's made dyeable, I hope that means they figured out how to unscrew all those sets without having to make brand new items with the dyeable flag toggled to on.

I'm hyped for Reborn, particularly because it was always less popular than FFT, which means if they're putting in this much work into Reborn I'm wondering and left excited for what it'd mean for revisiting FFT whenever they get around to that.

We really don't know how impactful these changes are going to be so generally this is more speculation.
Phys Ranged:
It doesn't look like enough to me but it's something I guess, We will see later down the line how certain jobs perform

Seems like they consider dancer the bar for damage output they want phys ranged which if you ask me dancer doesn't even do enough total damage, compared to the melee dps, I don't think dancer nor phys ranged should be on par with melee but they shouldn't be far off, Bards and machinists changes look very lacking to me... I really dont think Dancers damage is the bar for phys ranged.
For casters:
Smn/rdm always very different to discuss compared to other jobs, hopefully they're ahead a bit, although I kinda want Red mage to be ahead of smn just because RDM generally struggles with less mobility, then again I don't know yet. BLM Hopefully now at least competes with melee dps damage, I generally think casters got ok changes.
Warrior(Tank):
I guess they're waiting on PLD's general changes in 6.3, shame as I feel like they could have done with a little boost but makes sense, I really hope they make PLD's general kit just better right now theirs no reason to bring a PLD because DRK/GNB outshine it in tanking ability and damage output, that ontop of being clunky and complex with no reward kinda stings (although its rotation is actually very fun so I'm worried about any changes), Warrior likely needs more then what it's been given, I don't really want it ahead of PLD... guess we will see. I don't know In general about warrior changes, but I believe they're good, Personally I think they need to generally change tanks overall in 7.0 the current tank job design is somewhat of a mess.
Can't say I'm too happy with the changes but they're good changes, my problem is they don't look to be enough.
I'm fairly certain they said "we will reconsider how we balance range from now on"

WAR just gonna get potency fluff but what it really needs in damage buff on IR
Current estimations from Balance are as followed:
Warrior: 1.25%
Reaper: 2.3%
Sage: 1.4%
Bard: 0.7-1%
Machinist: 3%
Red Mage: 1.8-2%
Summoner: 1.7%
Black Mage: 1.5%
Overall, they will have very little impact on the current landscape. Not to say they aren't good buffs but they won't shake anything up. Reaper being the sole exception. It's buffs are actually fairly substantial, and may allow it to crack into the Melee meta again. As for the remaining jobs, this doesn't move the needle. Red Mage will be noticeably behind, Warrior may pull ahead of Paladin but both will be outclassed by Dark Knight and Summoner, the Prange are all still very weak as is Sage.
I do play Frontline daily as well and I play all jobs. MNK is about picking target to push your target to your group and defeat them. Earth Reply can give you full heal and >15k AoE damage to melees and tanks, even bigger on ranged. Gap closer gives good mitigation and has 3 charges that you can gap closer to your team and there's no way you die in pack easily.
I don't doubt NIN/RPR are tanky but IMO RPR has the weakest damage over all melees.
BLM buff is meh. SMN one is OK. RPR is interesting. I don't really play MCH or the others so I can't really comment on them.
lol wish they would stop giving the top 100 in CC rewards. Lets be real, they are all bots, cheaters and win traders.
As for DNC buffs..... they over sold the patch in advanced i guess.
