RMT griefing many aspects (two, housing and savage) and the vocal minority of them

It is a very wide and common problem on FFXIV and much more prevalent and present then anyone think.

Simple as :

Roulettes for housing are a haven for 2000 euros / usd resale of entire wards owned by these rmt FC. These houses go from 300 to 2000 + on any of these sites if you look for them, it's easy to find.

It leads to a huge degradation of the gameplay for those who experience it, on the western side of things, it is in the form of Community targetted harrassment and reporting of players that own houses with nice views and placements, inventing problems with them to see them go bye bye for 1 to 2 months and gradually steal their houses / own an entire ward through many FC's and characters connected to a RMT community, trolling them to the point of getting an outburst reaction of insults , using corpo speech and "toxic" behaviour as a shield when they manage to push players to their limits. "Toxic" and other corpo invented languages are only used as a parashield for accusing everyone else of your own behaviour in this game, doing inversions and projection at every level, it's an umbrella to shield predatory RMT activities.

Same methods are applied in savage raiding, on a big scale on the party finder.

One only has to use the FF Excell log to look for 80%+ parsers that wipe groups on 1 2 3 first raids reset day to reset day.

You will find that they wipe thousand of times on the easiest mechanics, just to clear one shot these fights the last hour of reset day. Numbers and statistic don't lie, and they are thousands to have this exact behaviour that is very telling of the scale of RMT trolling and grief happening in savages.

These groups also use one person to jump from pf group to pf group to make sure they "drop" at least 1 of their member in there and every or so parties to make sure these groups don't clear, and don't progress into the higher tiers, artificially blockading the progress for sale purposes, and gatekeeping the later raids that are clear sold for very high prices.

FF excell logs can help a lot to analyze clears and your rotations, it can also very much help you find all the people doing this, reset day from reset day, by doing a few very useful simple filter search. like, it is obvious that someone able to one shot a fight at any given time, last hour or even minutes before reset day with all the member of his team, failing at early mechanics all week long over an over again for hundreds / thousand times, then suddenly getting god like tier good and doing the easy mechs with a 80 ot 90%ile, are onto ill intent / malignant behaviour all week long on the party finder, it isn't rocket science to figure it out, but i bet, FF excell logs are going to make it more difficult pr tiered behind paywall now to find theses stats as they are also a bit co dependent of the whole real "toxic" this time, "ecosystem" :). Amongst the vocal minority of "it's only in your imagination" people of forums and reddit threads downvoting faster then light anyone that DARES stating the obvious beast to defend their bread and butter, Statistics and numbers don't lie :) Thank you very much.

PS: also the vocal minority of these communities, is actually the larger part of any community online defending this crap by just the same type of manners and tactics of inversion and insulting you being "imaginary problems" or making it up, and blaming victims of these behaviors, always hiding behind corpo toxic and newspeak talk.

I'll add that streamers typically really avoid taking on these discutions seriously because they , themselves, have a huge backlog of discord dwellers and communities literally hoping from games to games with them as they make them popular for a time, to make their living off of it. So it's a very touchy subject they'd rather avoid, but it's still a coward attitude and "letting it go" behaviour, friend of a friend doing it too, we all in this together, etc... etc... all the ways you can imagine that it's "laissez faire" because it has just became too huge of a corrupt inter administrative / functionnary type beast under the hood with a lot of ppl actually doing very nice side money off of it and some sometimes depending on it. So yeah, it's allways very hush hush, and pushed to the side.

I agree that RMT becomes a bigger problem and SE should definitely do something about it.
I absolutely don't like these Eureka Bunny Farm Bots.

But, I don't know about your PF wipe theory.
At least I've never encountered such a behavior on the Light DC PF in SB and SHB.
But I also haven't raided via PF in EW, maybe that became a thing because they are not allowed to advertise their carry groups in-game anymore.

But yea, SE has to find a way to punish RMT buyers. They can't win a fight against Bots but they can reduce the earnings of them by scaring potential buyer away.

The RMTers still routinely advertise in PF using expendable accounts due to the dungeon roulette listings being totally unrestricted regardless of level, MSQ progression, or content unlocks.

Requiring you to actually reach a point where you've unlocked the roulettes proper would probably put a stop to that.

RMT happens in any big mmo really, the bigger the more profitable.

I completely understand the issue with housing considering that means people cant get a home because of RMT guilds. Definitely something that must be looked.

Dont see the issue with savage RMT though expect the fact that RMT isnt allowed, though something tells me this only really is an issue to people who unironically believe they are special for clearing a scripted pve fight so the idea that others get to have the same gear/achievement annoys you, which is a very unhealthy kind of mentality and says more about the person than the RMT people.

Now going around saying RMTers go into groups to sabotage them is definitely on the conspiracy theory level, where you an RMTer why would you upload logs of the run, the buyer probably wont be uploading logs either considering the terrible performance so such "evidence" from fflogs is circumstantial at best.

Oh boi we are back at it again, I kinda expected you to show up again after that one post on reddit not long ago. I think you vastly overestimate the skill level people in PF have. Many people will just learn one extremely specific way of handling mechanics and then fold under any sort of variation, either through the party doing a slightly different spread or the order of mechanics being slightly off. How many of those people are using cactbot and are getting hit by the classic "turn the bird south" bamboozle, who can say.

In my two years of being neck deep in the housing scene in NA, I have never once seen a report or mention of someone being targeted and harassed by someone/a group for the sole purpose of getting them to leave and take their house (and people tend to make noise over anything weird here, especially housing). If this is true, fair enough but please present evidence to support your claim. Otherwise, I'm gonna chalk this up as a conspiracy.

The proof is likely a mix of misunderstood jokes and gross misinterpretations of mundane sentences. Atleast it was last time. I particularly like the idea this time around how someone getting purple logs is proof that they are actually good at the game.

Gatekeeping and trying to push people to fault by adopting a "back to the future" provoking villain attitude, is another very telltale clue, thought you would be smarter than this. a few examples then that clearly state sales and some of the system of black marking ppl and offuscating them from parties / clear.

The guy admit they know ppl that parse low can clear fights, (especially heals, creating artificial blockades and gatekeep for creating shortages of heals in higher tier, but they will still mark them in their internal "ladder" system )

I used to be with it, but then they changed what ‘it’ was. Now, what I’m with isn’t it, and what’s ‘it’ seems weird and scary to me. It’ll happen to you.

Removal of grandfathering, would be one thing, they can do it according to the ToS as well... the rest is hammering down on these exploiters, and also the players who falls into buying their house or FC from a third hand with RMT.

I'm going to kindly remind gullible people that Gaming firms deeply specialized in Neuro marketting digital "Troll" farms for trend setting, ala "microworkers" farms, existing sine 2013 mind you, influencing and creating "content" out of "emotional" pushes in any way , shape or form, drama or forcefull reverse psychology "streisand" manufactured effects, DO exist. (for a very long time) They do collaborate with both publishers, social media plats and the streaming industry.

If you think you thought about a neat idea to scam and exploit or use groups / bots and launch temporary reputations campaigns that takes weeks to months to build in the corner of your brain, you are so naive and late that it's been already expanded to all of it's aspects by professional psychologist and neuro pshychiatrist also specialized in digital neuromarketting to maximize profits for said temporary loyalty to a publisher or org that pays for it. We are way past "turning the players into payers". There is absolutely "no conspiracy" there, just an annoying sh*tfest of 50 cents armies of paid farms to do exactly that,+ the side benefits of reselling runs and in game items. As if this is the only time people denouncing these underground / black market activities. Any concurrent mmo publisher can pay for these services and will gladly have hundred of players making it so it's impossible to achieve content in some areas of any particular massively online game to get players bored, disgruntled, sometimes the end goal is to seek greener pastures as the new game they want to launch will be at the peak of that very annoyance threshold of the player base they troll so they look to the next game launch as something much more exciting then it should be by "shittying" and griefing on the previous popular game.
