instead of it being 5 days to allow bids and 4 days to claim. How about 2 days to bid and 2 days to claim. I think that is fair enough and lotteries would be shorter. 5 days to bid is just to long and unnecessary. 2 days are fair enough imo

I believe it's built around the fact that most Japanese are unable to login until their days off, so they work their schedule around their schedules.
Doesn't matter to me. I never win the lottery anyway.
People trying to find ways to increase their chances lol. The old system was better for that. The lottery is more fair, but seriously. Good luck getting a house!
Just leave it as it is.
I am really happy to have had the chance to be at a time when we could sell our houses at the prices we wanted and buy them right away according to the sellers' prices
So yes there could be abuses even often but it's 100 000 times better than the horrible systems of now which incite nobody to sell his house I have plenty of houses and I would never sell any because in the current system I would sell at a loss
It still required due diligence. Now you just toss your name in a box and carry on with your business.
All this sounds like is a case of whichever system you got your house with, is clearly the better system. The reality of the matter is no matter what system they use, all it does is rearrange furniture on the titanic.
Changing the claim period isn't going to magically make enough houses for everyone appear.
If there was an infinite supply of houses and people could bid on their favourite plot, it would make sense. However it is not the case and there are not enough houses to meet demand and the lottery becomes quickly irrelevant. I think that the idea was to give a reasonable chance to enter the system to the greater number of active players. People work, they can be on a business or leisure trip, have family emergencies, etc.
Anyway, unless SE fixes their flawed system, it is a moot issue on most servers. There are three houses on my server up for grabs this week. There will be none left after this cycle unless the owner of a house gets permanently banned from the game or cancels his account.
2 days is reasonable I say. I never understood why people give a "reasonable" amount of time for everybody. You either got to be there or not. There are other events in the game that expire and people miss out on so what's the difference? Just like the 99 totems for a mount. 50 totems should be the max needed. Sometimes I feel they really want to drag things out in this game way to much XD
Surely they can wait 5 days?
Some people have zero availability during some parts of the week or are not in a location where they can log into the game. In my previous position, some days required me to work 20 hours or I could be called to board a plane and travel with no warning. Waiting a few more days to give a chance to people who want a house is not the end of the world. I don’t mind a faster system either but the limited and finite supply is the real issue.Quote:

It amazes me that some people can be so impatient as to clamor for period reductions that ultimately in then end will make access to housing difficult at best for others. Or perhaps, that is their goal all along. It might not be just simple impatience but a desire to artificially eliminate competition.
Scenario time!
SE has introduced 24 new wards in each district. HOWEVER, the houses can only be bought via mogshop and each house is tied to an NFT. Each house is priced differently based on location and size.
1.Would you buy one as soon as it dropped?
2.Would you sell your purchased house?
3.How long would it take for RMT to lock down certain wards?
It is to eliminate competition and equality. They want the house and want no one else to have a chance. Its why some even want the old style back, because with an autoclicker they have the best chances but they would never mention that is their plan and reasoning behind it.
You really have no clue, do you, as to how difficult and painful that can be for people with disabilities or who are elderly. I think Bsrking5 is correct. People who are making these suggestions are doing it purely for selfish reasons. They have no compassion for their fellow players. It's disgusting.
Not to mention that FC plots are meant for free companies aka several players who've come together to form a community, not solo owners who abused the system to hoard houses.
The way the lottery is setup, there's no reason why they couldn't change the "bid time" to something short. I think with the short supply, the bid time should be something much shorter. Make it like the 12 hour window we had before when people would spam placards. It would probably keep the bids down to just players that are actually looking for housing instead of those that come in on a whim to look.
Of course, until auto-demo is back on, it won't matter.
