Because they are fine how it is, the truth is bots are a permanent problem no many how many resources you put into it, most notably when you have a free trial.
They could add kill zones, what would it help? The botters would adjust, suddenly we have thousand of bots on the surface which just discourages players, particularly new players.
If they really want it to stop they would have to spend a lot of resources because you can't win against botters, they have nothing to lose really, it means the only people
that are valueable to ban are the buyers, however, the gold market is gigantic and you could say that at least 20-40% of any community buys gold. That means from a company
perspective that you not only spend a huge amount of resources to detect these movements but also would have to ban a gigantic part of your community. Which is gigantic
money loss, or you could just look away as long as they do not show up for other players see WoW classic dungeon botting or underground farming and so on.
