In my opinion, SE really needs to hold back on opening up FC housing on the four new EU worlds. Currently, because of the 30 day rule and the fact that players had to wait so long before transferring (which was out of their hands because of the Home World Transfer Service being down), it means veteran players that want a chance at a FC and housing on the new worlds won't be in with much of a fair ride.
SE should really consider pushing the release of FC housing back until the end of August, not July, to make it fair for everyone. Most of the houses, as it stands will just be taken by shell FCs. Go ahead and roll the private houses, but at least give transferring players that had to wait a chance at FC ones...

Shell FCs made on day one won't even be 30 days old by the end of the first raffle. Besides, if you were planning to move an actual FC, nothing was stopping you making alts to get the FC started.

Next month they will open new servers on NA... just imagine if they do the same...
They always used to give us 2 to 3 months for new players on new servers to build money in order to compete with transfered players (at least, for the small plots). I really don't get why they are changing the waiting this time...
Maybe, they think the lotery system will keep things longer than before for FC's to get the best plots, but I don't think it's the case... Less true FC to bid and more shells FC to bid for the best ones on the 2 to 3 initial waves doesn't seems to fit their expectations... '-' -

Why should players have to create an alt character just because SE messed up the timings? Whereas it's true they won't be able to roll on the FC houses on the first wave, they can happily roll on the next wave - which transferred players can't do, they wont be able to participate in that lottery for FCs either. Why should veteran players have to create an alt character to have a fair chance against shells? Especially since it wasn't their fault they couldn't transfer to begin with?
I'm not even transferring, but know people that had hoped to - simply so they could establish their main FCs again for housing. Its just completely bonkers them opening it so soon. -

Shame for new players, but on bright side there aren't that many anyways. I have been trying to find members for FC and it's all alts so perhaps delay doesn't matter much. SE clearly puts faith in the lottery and FC wards. We will see how that works out.

The entire ward system is one of the primary reasons I have virtually zero interest in housing beyond my apartment and FC room. If I devoted that much time and resources into something that would disappear if I had to take a break from the game for life reasons, I would uninstall and never look back.

It's not such big deal, there are always additional houses available, and you can make some new design. The lottery made the system more annoying, but as long as servers are being added it's still somewhat easy to get a house with bit of patience.Quote:

Meaning those who waited to transfer and not start new characters, are disadvantaged.

ATM, there are 432 FC's on Raiden, and a lot of them got made in the past few days or otherwise not qualify for the 1st cycle of the FC lottery. 269 have recruitment closed and less than 10 members (the bot FC's will be part of that group). With 360 Large plots available the 1st time FC plots can be bought, I suspect that every FC made in time for the 1st FC lottery cycle will be able to get a mansion. I also suspect this is exactly why SE started the lottery so soon, it caught the bots off guard as much as anyone and they won't have gotten near enough shell FC;s made in time to grab a lot of plots.

I do not deny that resellers and bots and the like aren't problematic too...but there are far more people who just want a husband/wife fc or small static fc or me and my gaming bros fc. Because *that* is the community they wish to build with.
I think SE should have waited to open FC housing until 30 days from day world transfers opened. But that is me. Opening personal housing right away was fine. Probably even good from a demand perspective/server growth perspective. But by NOT holding fc purchases until world transfers have a chance, it also imo, actively is discouraging fc's from making the transfer. And if fc's as a whole won't transfer, it will be harder to balance world populations. -

I agree. If you want to set up a genuine FC with housing, where's the point in transferring now, knowing all of the best plots will have been rolled on in a lottery you have no chance of joining. It's a big oversight in my opinion that SE should really look at changing before the lottery period starts. Go ahead and roll personal housing, but leave FC ones sat there until transferred players have had the same 30 day privilege.
