How to get your money from the lottery back without knowing the plot adress?

Hello everybody!

After entering another result period of the housing lottery I noticed that I don't have any idea where I entered it.
I participated in a lottery for one of the only three free plots on my server. The adress was shown in the "Timers-estate"-tab, but now in the result phase there is no plot number anywhere anymore.

Is there any chance to get my money back without clicking on hundreds of placards?

Please help. :confused:

If you click on your duty/timers menu, there will be two tabs. Click on the one that says "estate" and then "housing lottery status". There it should tell you exactly which plot you place a bid on.

No, unfortunatly it doesn't. It was there during the entry phase but now it is gone. :(

Can you provide a screenshot of your "estate" page of the timer?
You should be able to click on "housing lottery status"

It should be there regardless if you are in entry period or not

Also, just a reminder, if you did it more than 9 days ago and did not check since, you will lose some of your Gil. Don't ask me why, but this happened to me before when I had no internet for a week...

I am sorry, but I don't know how to upload screenshots here. :o

It says:

Housing Lottery Status ................ Results period in progress

and the little page icon at the end is missing.

Neither left nor right click on that line works other than marking the line.

No, not there. :(
The result period must be active since yesterday or today, I looked on the 5th and the entry period was still ongoing. Oh well, maybe my gil is lost forever.

A few others have had a similar problem and it was suggested to open a ticket with the GMs. I don't know if the GMs are actually able to help but it's worth a try.

Another thing to do is check the wards for currently available plots and check their placards. It could be the plot you bid on has not yet been claimed.

You may want to take a screenshot or write down the plot/ward number when you enter in the future.

Thank you for your suggestions, I already opened a ticket and received a nice answer but no solution for the problem. But it is good to know that I am not alone with this.
Checking the free plots was my first idea, I had still hope that I have won the lottery. ;)
In the near future I will stay away from the lottery, it is not good for my mental health, the constant hope-disappointment cycle and now losing a big part of my gil. My apartment must be enough for me. But you can be sure, when I enter again, I will have the plot number written all over my desktop. :D

Make sure you're on your home world and not visiting another world (if visiting, double check the timer after you return). If it was a personal plot it would be in wards 19-24 and I assume you know the size of the plot you bid on. You could go house by house and check, it will take awhile, but you have 90 days to collect your funds.

As Dustytome points out, you do have 90 days to collect. Maybe try checking a couple of wards a day until you find the one you had bid on.

Also, you may want to keep an eye out for information about houses opening on the new worlds and consider transferring at that point to improve your chances of getting a house (I wouldn't bother transferring too far in advance of the housing districts opening unless aiming to help a FC get a house). Just keep in mind that if you transfer before being able to find the plot to claim the refund, you'll forfeit the refund.

Just a suggestion for future attempts at buying a plot...when you place a bid, write down the ward number and plot number. That way, you shouldn't have any major difficulties in recovering your bid if something bugs out on your timer interface. This is what I have done for every bid I have placed. I get a wee bit paranoid when I hand over so much Gil and I relax a lot better if I have a hard copy of the relevant information.

Hello everyone,

just to put an end to this thread:
I opened another ticket and the gm told me, that there was no open lottery-token for my character (the only one I have), so he could not help me.

I am 100% sure, that i entered this lottery-period and didn't pick up the gil already. I consider my gil lost to a bug and made a bug report ingame.
There is one free plot where no winner has come foreward, maybe someone in my situation?

Going forward I will take a screenshot if I ever enter the lottery again.
