So in yoshi player poll he ask about new races. and to honest i was alittle saddened that there was no like Kid/Teen option mention on the list. The only reason i brought that up was the kid Elezen you see in the Uldah quest like i thought he looked cool. But to the point!
Q2. What type of race or clan would you most like to see added in the future? *
Reptilian beastmen (ex. lizardmen, draconians, etc.)
Mammalian beastmen (ex. wolfmen, gnolls, etc.)
Reptilian demi-beastmen (ex. a race with demonic features such as horns, etc.)
Mammalian demi-beastmen (ex. a rabbit-eared race such as the Viera from FFXII, etc.)
More clans for existing races (ex. greater variation in physical build and appearance)
Races of mixed heritage (ex. Elezen-Hyur, Mi’qote-Lalafell, etc.)
I know this gonna cause some hype. But is there any chance or way just to add them all lol?
That way there is even more variation of people and will be even harder for more than 2 players that look alike.

The frustrating thing is, we probably won't be seeing any of these until way into 2.0 :( As much as I can't wait to become a male Miqo'te, these options are also tempting! Mixed heritage could get a little odd, but I think some could work, like a Hyur-Elezen [Elezen are way too tall and lanky for my liking, but I do like the ears]
Overall though, I'm happy with what we have now, and I think it'd just be good to expand on the character creation options for what we have now, and maybe add new clans with new unique attributes. -

It comes down to how hard it'll be to make armor for the new race/clans, if it's easier then in 1.0 then hopefully the new races will be added sooner rather then later. But if their process remains as long drawn as 1.0 then it'll be that much tough to add new races since each time they add a new race they add another workload when it comes to producing new armor since they then have to add another race to the set of armor they create.

I think they cant hadle too many races in the game, or ok they would, but its hard work, you have to create armor models and such things for every different race. Anyways, if they implement all of them i think they will little by little, one each expansion or something like that.

That's the whole reason why he also decided to allow a character creation reset for everyone when 2.0 hits, so you can adopt the new options if you wish to.Quote:

I honestly don't see how Viera would fit in without the rest of the Ivalice races.
I think the best we can hope for is a hybrids of certain races (but not all of them). -

Oh I won't start over lol. That would be a waste of my time..and with me starting acting school soon I won't have as much free time! But yeah the option to pay to change would be fine with me :)
Also if they DO want their MMO to "get places" they should try an appeal to all types of gamers and schedules. Not just "START OVAR AND SPEND WHOLE LIFE ON OUR GAME PLS" no thank you. I am working hard to become a good actor and that is more important to me atm then a game. Prioritiessss~ <3 So yeah I don't agree with instant gratification but I do think they should at least give us the option to pay when releasing a brand new race. If not it is no big deal I will just stay the same :) -

I disagree with Elexia on the holding hand bit.I don't see why you would consider it to be hand holding. They player invested his/her time and money into the game and was limited with options.
