Summon Seraph's range

Hello,

First off, the LB rework for SCH is a very welcomed change.

With that said, I would like to request that its range when deploying is increased. The CC immunity is good but Excogitation for 8k HP is an underwhelming buff. It feels even worse when you miss allies because of range restrictions. The summoning takes good 2-3 seconds to complete before Consolation can be cast.

Excogitation is the single player buff that activates once HP falls below a certain amount or after time expires, are you confusing it with something else? Also you can pair Recitation with Excog for guaranteed critical HP recovery.

It's fine. The buffs snapshot when you activate the LB, so people don't need to stay in the circle. Summon Seraph has a 30yd cast range and has a standard 10yd AOE. That's plenty to ensure you get your important allies. If you're complaining that you can't hit your entire team because they're spread out... well, *good.* It would be overpowered if you could. There's a benefit to staying spread out, and there's downsides too. It's an important balancing factor. Drop Seraph where she will hit the players most likely to need Seraph Flight if you can't get everyone.

Excog is fine. 8000 HP is a little over 15% HP for most casters and healers, a little less for melee and tanks. Increasing the amount healed would require lowering the activation threshold, which increases the chance the person just dies before the heal can trigger (something you'll see happen with Phoenix's 12k excog effect, since it triggers at 25% instead of 50%.) Remember, Seraph is spitting out adlos every 2.5 sec.

I do agree that Seraph should activate faster after summoning. The same should be true for Bahamut and Phoenix. I would add a guaranteed 4 sec delay on Akh Morn, Consolation, etc however. I think that delay is important, because it gives the enemy team time to try and kill the summoning player before they can use their summon's primary skill.

I am assuming you do not have a lot of PvP experience as a Scholar. Just to put it into perspective, you can cast Aldo > Deployment tactics and hit all of your teammates and then cast Summon Seraph at the centre, on the target you spread Aldo from and hit exactly no one but that target.

Just ignore the “it is fine man” , every rebalance issue to him is just fine.

Consolation is 20yd, Seraph Flight is 10yd. I was specifically referring to Seraph Flight there. I'm a SCH main, I am well aware of the ranges and functions of the class.

Because most things are not balance issues, they are skill issues. I'm sorry you and so many others struggle with accepting that your losses and failures are due to your own inadequacies and not the game. I would recommend spending more time analyzing and considering your own play, and less time worrying about theoretical balance issues. You'll find you have better results that way.

Yet if you think others are just bad beside your high awareness of how perfect job balancing is,
I suggest you make some alt in different DC and see what the true situation is.
Kept saying it is fine to all rebalance issue even without unlocking the job makes things funny.

You actually think you have to actually play something to understand how it functions and where its place is in gameplay and team setups? This isn't Starcraft, there are not very many moving parts in CC. Anyone with even basic critical analysis skills can figure things out in this game. But it seems like most people here lack even those most fundamental life skills.

How about this? You keep insisting I'm wrong - so *prove it.* Tell me how SCH needs buffs, how it's somehow weak and Seraph isn't already strong enough. Instead of making up a bunch of dumb bullshit, put up an actual fucking argument.

Seraph Flight is not a standard AoE. If anything should be considered standard that would be Consolation which has 20y range.

I am sorry to hear that a fellow PvP SCH main has so poor understanding of the job that they think they can maintain Aldo spread and DoT at the same time. However, this further invalidates any of the baseless arguments you made.

10yd is a pretty standard range. It's used for a variety of effects, typically ones with very potent effects, like Horrid Roar. 5, 8, 10, 15, and 20 are all standard sizes for PvP. Anything not one of those tends towards being exceptional in some way or other.

You can maintain uptime on both buffs and debuffs as SCH. You will generally prefer to spread Bio on the enemy due to the damage and utility of damage down on the enemy, but in some cases it's better to spread the shield and damage up to your team. Depending on the flow of the game, there will be times you can do both at the same time, and these generally coincide when times when your team is aiming to push - in fact, you shouldn't automatically be deploying every 15 sec, because there's not much point in buffing your whole party or debuffing the enemy team if you aren't in a position to use it. Better to save the charge so you can get that 20% combined damage swing when your team is ready to push (or when the enemy begins to push you.)
