But but we're supposed to be getting less content no? It's all people talk about here. And yeah they blew it out of the water with Criterion Dungeons.
They sound like a lot of fun! I don't think I'll step further from the normal mode, but I'm excited to try them.
New dungeon.
New trial.
New variant dungeon.
New criterion dungeon.
New criterion dungeon (savage).
New raids.
New savage raids.
And a lot of other things such as popular quests and a beast tribe.
New relics.
But I have no doubt people on these forums will find a way to say there is less content.

Island Sanctuary seems very extensive. It could be an entirely separate game and sell well on its own.
I look forward to Island Sanctuary. Seems like an improved version of Ishgard restoration which was fun to do casually. Rewards you can grind at your own pace are nice.
it all depends on the lasting of these new things, if you can complete the quests in less than a day its not much tbh
Can't judge anything until it's all released. Savage dungeons sound fun though. They haven't really made hard modes of dungeons since HW right? And most of the current "hard" mode dungeons are all super disappointing due to power creep.
I am going to be very cautious with Island Sanctuary. It could be an interesting thing to do but I don't know what their goal with it is other than as solo side content with a bit of socialization if you want. Seems like it is meant to be self-contained which may or may not appeal to a lot of players.
To be fair the "Hard" dungeons are hard in name only as a new version of the older dungeon. They were never meant to be difficult content.
going to hold my breath until it release. seems interesting but like someone said depends on how long it will last. if the savage dungeons have different path then people will take the path that it easier than and dont forget what type of rewards after completing it
Ok now they got my attention with this Live Letter. Variant/Criterion and Island Sanctuary are both sounding more solid than I was expecting. Finally got some of the things people have been asking for like branching paths and multiple difficulty levels in dungeon content, and we're getting 3 of those variants in 6.x series while they still work on deep dungeon separately. Island sounds like it has enough going on that you can spend a lot of time there and treat it like your main content if you are the kind of person that likes Animal Crossing sort of activities. This is good stuff now.

Out of all the stuff, variant dungeon has my attention. With DSR's AU story and this feature having a CYA element, maybe they're experimenting with branching stories since technically you can just New Game + the branch you miss.
Looking like a good patch, the criterion dungeon looks way better than I expected. Solo mode, party mode, savage mode, & multiple paths.
Rest of the content seems alright too, the usual staples of raid, trial, dungeon which are all good usually. Island Sanctuary looks, maybe not better than I expected, but certainly different and potentially more involved than I expected.
Aaaaah, Island Sanctuary sounds great!! Very relaxing and fun for solo play.
This is what's making me the most excited about the patch, I can't wait to explore and get lost in that island ( * o * )

is it me or most of the major stuff pushed to 6.25 and 6.2 is basically just new raid tier, new msq and just new extreme?
What was said about Island sanctuary? I missed the live letter got busy playing the game with a friend and some other stuff
Of course, there is. We got fewer dungeons, and no exploration zones like Eureka or Bozja,
Come on, this is where we use small samples of content to make our point and subsequently ignore newer areas of content because it doesn't conform to the narrative. (If it isn't obvious I am being sarcastic with the above)
It's a big island, you can explore it, capture things on it, grow plants, craft stuff, etc. for turning in for special currency. Can put some facilities and what-not on it too.
Basically, it looks fairly involved but also totally separate from the rest of the game. I expect it'll be fairly divisive content, some people will love it and want the devs to spend more time working on it, others will hate it and demand the devs stop working on it altogether.
Except that we have an island sanctuary to explore that resembles the scale of Eureka in the picture we saw. For the extra bosses that were previously in Bozja, we have new Variant dungeons for story and new Criterion and Criterion Savage dungeons and the new deep dungeon. It remains to be seen if we will actually get a new area like Bozja or Eureka for the relic, but it's possible.
People have been asking for savage 4 man dungeons and who expected them to announce it? Pretty amazing in my view. I saw the first part of the introduction and saw that word CASUAL and thought oh god now people will not be happy.
Was amazed to listen to the remainder of that introduction.
