Hi everyone!
Any word or hint that relics may be included for some time soon; perhaps be it on 6.2 or further ahead?
Trying to avoid in doing savage just for the 600’s weapon sake upgrade from my current 590.

Probably august.
I don't remember hearing anything that mentioned relics explicitly. There was something about criterion dungeons have some kind of weapon enhancement which could be relics, or it could be similar to Deep Dungeons where you work to enhance weapons used in those dungeons. It does seem kind of strange to me to be this late in the expansion without any word on relics, I feel like we have heard much sooner than this on all the others.
Nah, relics prolly wont drop til 6.3, but we still havent gotten any info at all on them so... who knows? Best guesses, could see them tied to Criterion Dungeons or Deep Dungeon...
There is no really hard precedent. HW relics were added in 3.15, SB in 4.25 and ShB in 5.35.
Regardless though, the relic will always stay worse than current savage weapon until the very last patch of the expansion.
You might as well just get the savage weapon. With the new dungeons coming in 6.2 we will be lucky to see the relic start in 6.3
Tbh worrying about ilvl if you're not doing Savage is probably a tad pointless :P.
There haven't been any relics since Heavensward; just weapons associated with bad optional content.
Now, the Island Sanctuary patch release schedule matches up exactly with the Eureka/Bozja patch release schedule.
So while everyone else is expecting housing (and going to be disappointed), I am expecting relics (and going to be disappointed.)
Tbh I find that Heavensward and ARR has a far more repetitive and boring relic weapon process.
Content like Eureka and Bozja also ages better and makes for more longevity they both have quite active communities ( altho Bozja moreso for the exp I am guessing, the zones weren't as exciting as Eureka ).
I'd love a combination of Eureka zones with Bozja bosses.
They are usually added in the .25 patch, so probably 6.25.
most of my jobs have 570 relics my mains are ranged so their in the 597 range am 2/3 in 590 relics need one ring and upgrade items for my 590 weapons to get to ilv600.
In Heavensward, people were complaining that the grinds were repetitive and making us do old content, so they got a new content type without a purpose (Diadem) and a grind needing a content (Relic Weapons) and put them together to get Eureka. Then people complained they had to actually do content to get their weapon. I was disappointed to see that reaction.
Bozja had really good raids too imo, and the boss fights were actually quite good in the open world.
It's funny how people will complain that there's not enough content then complain when new content that actually takes some time and has longevity is released.
I really hope they put Eureka and Bozja together for EW, if people don't like it they already have other means to get weapons ( Savage and Extreme, or heck even just craft one... ).
No matter what they do with the Relic grind too it's going to not be enjoyed by some, the fact it's a grind altogether will upset some.
At this point since we have actually been to outer space, would ppl enjoy a change of pace if say... aliens came and abducted all the alcohol on the planet while doing some other thing causing Gerolt to lead the charge to reclaim it?
Whatever they’re planning, I sure hope deep dungeon excursion is not required to get the relic starting or progressing. I’d love to see an Eurek/BSF-esque content. I can stomach ARR/HW styled grind given enough spacing. But not deep dungeons :(
Keep in mind that most of the complaints were about Eureka specifically, not Bozja. The major complaint towards Eureka being that relic progress was entirely tied to Anemos/Pagos/Pyros/Hydatos, without any options to progress outside those zones. They improved upon this with Bozja, with most steps (if not all) having an alternative way of progression outside Bozja. For example, being able to farm the memories from FATEs in HW zones.
They wouldn't have to "put Eureka and Bozja together", because Bozja is already an improvement on Eureka in a bunch of ways.
People are like...
"I'm bored of farming old content and reusing old content"
"make the endgame have a massive grind like WoW"
ok adding eureka
"no I don't want a massive grind, make me farm old content like labyrinth"
ok adding bozja with old content like labyrinth to farm
"I don't want want to farm labyrinth, I'm sick of getting labyrinth"
It's hopeless. They should just ignore it and keep giving us content like Eureka and Bozja. It's some of the most fun content in the game.
I hope if they have an adventure zone they let it stand on its own two feet instead of tying the relic to it. Go back to the ARR/HW model where we have some choice in the content we use to get upgrades and don't have to closet ourselves away virtually playing another game within the game to progress. At least with FATEs in the world I can go to another zone for a change of pace. I'm not stuck in an instance at the mercy of whatever number of people are in that particular one.
I hope they stick with Eureka/Bozja forumula
i think most people who want ARR/HW style relics never actually did them when they were relevant and delegating relics to some shitty shopping list you "can do over time" is just dumb much rather relics feel special and have content around them.
its like people don't want content for the game and happy doing just roulettes or spam older raids for months.
I did do them when they were relevant and I vastly prefer that style. There was more than enough time for each step to finish one doing it over time or at least a couple if you decided to grind before the next step came out. And zetas and animas were special when they first came out because they required a variety of content. You did roulettes, you did crafting, you buffed up your GC seals, because they all were avenues to get the things you needed. Now the last two expansions they shut us away isolated from the rest of the game in these adventure zones where we only really connect with one type of content. Even though Bozja has updates available outside the zone, it's still required for the questline. So at some point you're going to have to go in there and interact with their alternate leveling system and if you don't enjoy grinding FATEs for that then you're SOL.
Id rather not do the Bozja thing again and I did do the relics for ARR and HW when they were relevant. Just because people didnt like Bozja (which you seem to) doesn’t mean they were not around in 2.0 and 3.0. It wasnt fun at all for me during any of it.You also act like running DR over and over was “special and content” which is laughable. Some people seem to like that content I guess and will die on a hill defending it.
Since it feels like content in Endwalker is Greek theme'd Im very curious to see the Evolution Line for these Relic Weapons
I don't mind another bozja style relic grind.
It gives a more involved story as well.
Id rather just run Labyrinth. Easy Tomes, Easy Roulette EXP
But sure, if Im required to run it 15 times for 15 Timeworns for my relic, I might go insane. Kinda did with Syrcus Tower...and I like Syrcus Tower...but running it 60 times for my 4 Resistance Relics...was pretty rough @_@
For your experience. I personally hate DR, didn't enjoy running it for the quest, and would take the original Atma grind over stepping a foot in there ever again. I'm happy to leave it to those who enjoy that content and glad SE makes that content for those who enjoy it. I just want them to stop tying the casual endgame weapon to these instances to artificially prop them up. They should be zones that can stand on their own feet and have their own rewards worth engaging with the content to gain.
See now, that'd open up some novel ways of handling the grind. Like for example, just imagine if there's something equivalent to the lights phase, except it's derived from what you're doing on your island. Take that and the whole thing where we're apparently having our minions tend the gardens. Basically, the more minions you've unlocked, the faster you complete that part of the weapon.
I do remember quite a bit of complaining about Bozja, but yeah I don't think people complained quite as much as with Eureka.
I think some people are just opposed to the grind entirely.
Imo I just found the Bozja zones to not be nearly as fun and interesting as Eureka.
Eureka had problems with bosses not rly having many mechanics the Bozja bosses were definitely a lot more fun and the enemies in the open world weren't as random, in Eureka you'd turn a corner and get one shot sometimes lol.
But I really wished Bozja had more three dimensionality to it in particular, it felt more like flat planes while Eureka felt like an actual world you were exploring and was very varied.
That's what I mean with combine them, take the more interesting and fun world of Eureka and combine it with the bosses and overall difficulty with Bozja.
I am a bit mixed on stuff like having to summon world bosses at specific hours and all that tho but I still think it's a cool thing and does make people work together.
It kinda organically makes people a bit more organized and makes you feel more like everyone is a part of something.
Edit: The forge in Pagos is another good example of Eureka I'd like to see in the new one if we're getting a new one.
It added a bit more mystery to the world, finding the way there.
Pagos had a fun layout imo overall.
I never really got anything like that out of Bozja, it felt kinda bland and flat compared to Eureka.
In some ways I'd definitely say Bozja was a regression.
In every patch cycle, we wind up with the ability to upgrade the tome weapon prior to the next tier of gear coming out. If it works like every other expansion before, it'll likely require one 24-man weekly token to upgrade a radiant weapon to augmented radiant.
Generally speaking, relics are for glam. Some players enjoy the grind and farming a relic is a joy and they receive a nice shiny weapon at the end of it. For every expansion that I recall, the relic steps do not catch up to the current raid weapon until the very last patch cycle (probably 6.5X in this expansion). If your goal is iLvl, don't bother with a relic.
For some reason instead of, y'know, being able to work on them during downtime, the devs LOVE to put them in later in the patch cycle.
