Pretty sure this would exclude pretty much everyone who's ever referenced a guide, if indirectly, cause I'd be genuinely shocked if the people writing those didn't use any addons at all. You don't have to use them yourself to benefit from them after all.

Oh yeah, they worded it so they can manipulate the narrative however they want. "3rd Party Tools" can be anything, if one day they decide that guides are against ToS... Well, technically it has always been. So is your monitor... Your keyboard... Your mouse.

You do realize that the people creating the rotations and guides YOU follow use third party tools to do so right? Fun Fact: I have never had to refer to a "guide" for a rotation, or instruction on how to clear a dungeon. Why? The game is designed to where you DONT HAVE TO. I know. This is a very, very hard pill for you to swallow, as you have developed a handicap with your third party tools, instructional mr hppy guides, and etc. I wish you the best and hope you can figure things out on your own!

You know what, I'd take WoW's straightforward "you suck" any day over sneaky passive-aggressive attacks at players who like addons, badly disguised as positivity threads so they can instantly dismiss you the moment you disagree.

No meters and addons and a stifling ToS has bred a sort of snarky, gloating toxicity that's much worse.
