Confused

I just returned from some health issues and I left in 6.0 and come back and the trust system is changed.

I know my NPCs get xp in the trust duties. But I could have sworn they were above 72 when I left. Do they get anything in the new Duty support in Endwalker?

And I'm guessing I have to relevel them. I swear they were higher then they are now when i left I ran a ton of trust in sbers

any help would be great!!

There are 2 separate npc things now. The trust system for shadowbringer or endwalker dungeons and now new support system npcs for arr dungeons.
To my knowledge there are no special titles or emnities offered for completely leveling these systems. At least I never noticed when leveling them in shadowbringer.
I would say the only reason to use these would be for farming gear while leveling classes.

You get the title "Trusted Friend" if you level all trusts in Shadowbringers to 80. Not sure about EW, but there's probably a title too.

Not exactly. Trusts was always two systems in one – the "scenario mode" version with story-appropriate NPCs at preset levels, and the fixed group of "avatars" that you had to level up. Now that has been split apart into duty support, which incorporates what was previously scenario mode, and the trust system is now strictly the avatars.

You also unlock alternate (earlier MSQ) outfits for the trusts to wear. But that's only useful for continuing to play with trusts.

I know what you mean about the dual purpose of the trusts. I don't count the msq use as part of the leveling though since they are the level of the story as you progress.

I got my Trusts to 90 and You do get a title “The Seventh Dawn” in Endwalker. Plus the alternate outfits from the MSQ for them.

That's what I'm saying. The "MSQ use" is no longer counted as trusts; it is part of duty support.

The divide is not between "duty support for ARR" and "trusts for ShB/EW", it is duty support for MSQ (currently covering ARR, ShB and EW) and trusts for levelling up as a specific activity afterwards.

So which one gives the xp for the npc's? And does Duty Support drop gear? Sorry I got even more confused in game tonight. Ty for your help so far

When you complete main scenario quest "shadowbringers" the trusts can then be leveled in the shb dungeons starting at level 71 with "the Holminster switch" and again with the completion of "endwalker" you'll then be able to start leveling the trusts from 81-90, starting with the Tower of Zot. It takes about 3 or 4 runs per level. The grind is real to level them all lol.
You'll be running each dungeon at least 10 times to level all the npcs. It really is quite handy collecting the gear sets and it can be relaxing to just keep going with no wait time.

Do you specifically want to level up the NPCs for the sake of it (titles/completionism/etc), or do you just want to have them levelled so you can go into higher dungeons and gain EXP for yourself?

If you want to level them, use Trusts.

If you're doing it just to level yourself, you don't need to bother with levelling trusts at all. Use Duty Support to freely enter any dungeon that has NPC support.

And unless they've changed it, Duty Support mode does drop gear and other loot – although I think it tends to have one gear piece per chest where a normal party would get two.

Well they did made it easier to level up Trusts than before xD Before the Trusts exp changes, we had to run 5 or 6 times per level lol that shit was grindy af but the thing is, do you have the patience to level them all to run for gears/music rolls/minions xD
