Ifrit's Pattern, Confirmation Needed

I talked to a rep about it and was told to just report it here, though I wouldn't quite think of it as a bug per-se. I've also talked with several other people on Balmung about it previously, and they agree that Ifrit's behavior and some of his attacks' patterns have changed.

I just would like confirmation about whether there have been tweaks made to the Ifrit battle.

If not, then reporting it as a bug with my latest Ifrit fights having been today in the last couple of hours (May 23rd, 2012 - between 2:30pm and 4:30pm I'd estimate).

Done Ifrit 2 nights ago and seemed normal.
Maybe whoever tanking was tanking in wrong spot or moved? that throws off the positions on other Ifrit moves and stuff.

I was tanking Ifrit, actually. If I know Ifrit from one perspective best, it's while tanking him.

I see, probably gonna go check on Ifrit tonight or tomorrow so will know if anything changed, I'm either Tank or WHM or BLM for Ifrit. 2 Nights ago was on tank and didn't see nothing unusual. Maybe server/client related??

Could be.

Personally, I'd just like confirmation and the reason why I never really made a thread about it before was because I saw just extremely minor changes. I've even recorded one fight from earlier today, gonna upload to Youtube later.

Understood; it's going to take some time to compile more information, but I'll be talking with my linkshell tomorrow to give an organized report.

For others, look here at the Radiant Plumes. At least two of them seem to have been bugged as Ifrit is standing right in the middle of them.

Edit: it appears some of those that were there have come to me and said they didn't see that happen after all.

I've done quite a bit of ifrit lately and haven't noticed anything that would actually matter. I've seen plumes pop like that after Hellfire in your video but I wouldn't really call it a bug. It can be that the plumes go off when ifrit is near the middle and he walks over, while with latency it looks like he pops them under himself. If nothing else, it's fun when he does unpredictable stuff like that, not like the fight is broken or is any harder than usual.

I think the OP is asking weather or not the devs changed Ifrit's actions, if not, then he/she would like to report something.

Actually my LS did several Ifrit's today, all of us are 7/7, just for the fun of it. We were testing the job changes, and from what I can tell, the only difference is the Dragoon is amazing. We tested PLD and have come to the conclusion that it is still no where near what WAR is. We tested WAR versus MRD, and WAR still wins. We tested just about everything, and he seems the same, we didn't notice anything different, which gave us room to test the new jobs.

As for Dragoon, it seems stacking stats instead of Crit% is better.

It may be latency, though we all saw it too. (Edit: or so I thought.)

Oh, absolutely! That's the biggest reason I didn't want to report it as a bug first and foremost and wanted confirmation from the dev team about it (as you can see in the OP, I wanted confirmation on whether or not they've tweaked Ifrit's behavior or his abilities).

My apologies for this being a waste of the moderator's time, but I'm going to go ahead and ask that this case be closed as a bug report.
