Is the flood of "Revert samurai posts" not enough?
You want feedback. We've given it loud and clear. What more do you want? We don't want to hear your spins. We don't want alternatives. JUST REVERT IT.

100% agree.
Just revert the changes, plain and simple.

Doubling down? It's been 6 days....
Don't expect a reversion at least until the next job balance patch, and even then, given their reasons for removing it, I wouldn't even expect it then. Better to make your peace with job changes than call for the return of deleted moves.
Yep, y'all are bullying them all over just like 5.0 again.
Given the way people are whining and screaming all over the forums about it, I really hope they dig in their heels and stick to their decision. Also I don't recall them asking our opinion here, they said they're watching the ninja changes, but the tantrum samurai mains are throwing are burying any discussion that might be had on that job.
No, my point is stop whining. Seriously, the SAM community on here is the most petulant group of any job mains on the forums. They've put up 25 separate threads in the past three days to completely suppress any other discussion on anything else. You act like yours is the only job with problems and burn the whole world down over really the stupidest thing to complain about. Kaiten was a pointless skill. If they have to rebalance other potencies over its removal, fine, but its inclusion in the game was providing no value.
They eliminated dark arts years ago because it had the same pointlessness, and dark knights adjusted just fine without it.
Are people really complaining about other people complaining about job changes they never asked for? Like does it matter that much to you what threads are made? Imagine coming to the forums just to be dismissive of players voicing their opinion on a matter that affects the GAMEPLAY of a class they enjoy.
You mean like when everyone did exactly the same when I and other monks voiced our opposition to the job chances in 6.0?
Yes, people do this. Though we also didn't flood the forums with dozens of separate threads on the same topic. The devs themselves even said to stick to one thread and not spam the forums with lots of threads.
And also yes, right now how it looks, it seems like children throwing a tantrum, especially when you see "JUST REVERT IT" and "CHANGE NOW" screaming at them. So yeah, I'm going to call out what reads as childish behavior
dark arts was the most fun part of dark knight, its not even close to what kaiten used to be. i stopped playing dark knight after it got removed so "dark knights" didnt adjust just fine without it because a job's playerbase isnt some single-minded hivemind. kaiten was as "pointless" as any other ability in the game. raging strikes? reassemble? infuriate? prescence of mind? fight or flight? why not just buff every other attack instead.
also honestly if theres 25 posts all from different people who never even touched the forums before to me it signals a pretty big mistake on the dev's part. nobody is burning anything down and its quite strange that you think the tidiness of these forums have any meaning because youre not even the one in charge of collecting the feedback for SE.
Wow another player casting the umbrella to defend their actions. What a surprise. If there is a flood of the same topic as well as anywhere from 10-15 pages being created in a single day with essays of feedback from the JP side alone, you think there is no issue?
There are plenty of constructive posts, at some point you will just say something short. Staying silent won't help anyone as much as it inconveniences you. My point is, stop whining.
I was a DRK main in Heavensward. Dark Arts was absolutely not useless and neither is Kaiten as many of the people trying to dismiss the criticism claim. They served different purposes and Dark Arts was way more technical. Kaiten served to make your resource...you know..actually be a resource and to create a very smooth flow of gameplay.
I'll say this time and again, if you don't know what you're talking about, just keep your mouth shut. Also nice of you to throw shade at others in General where no one can see it.
I was a dark knight in heavensward too, so don't assume I don't know what I'm talking about.
My point now, I still remember the samurai burining the forums to the ground and bullying the devs into changing the ONE downtime skill the job was given in Shadowbringers, and here we are again with the same people throwing a fit of the dumbest thing. So no, I'm not going to sit down and shut up.
And I'm not hiding it just in general. I'm saying the exact same thing here. I called the samurai community out for throwing a tantrum and acting like petulant children right here in this thread the same as I did there. If I were hiding, I wouldn't same the same statement here.
This^ I'm one of those people - I had never even been to the forums until this change - made an account specifically to protest it.
As such, I'm new to the community, so if all the samurai feedback was supposed to be on a single thread, I apologize for the part I played in multithreading the conversation.
That said, whoever thinks Kaiten was a "useless skill" has no idea what they're talking about - probably not a samurai main and definitely no eye for kit design.
I miss old Dark Arts. It's why I stopped maining DRK. GNB fills the niche I wanted of Busy work. SAM fulfilled that for me too, but also gave me huge satisfying attacks periodically. I liked how crunchy it all was.
As for the multiple threads, it mainly seems to be kept to the DPS role section so I don't see the problem. There are other threads for other jobs still sitting around the top with activity.
Really now?
"i DoN't ReCaLl ThEm AsKiNg OuR oPiNiOn HeRe"
Surprised no one else went for the jugular and called this fool out on his BS earlier. Get used to these threads bud, they're here to stay.
Links to a thread where they explicitly state they're looking for feedback on ninja... yet the children are instead drowning out that conversation with their whining about something unrelated in another attempt to bully the developers into doing what they want.
Please stop feeding the troll. You're all being baited out of the topic so easily it isn't even funny anymore.
Please don't let your incompetence over the housing lottery system overshadow your incompetent and ill-thought out changes to Samurai.
I'm about to go into Ultimate on a job that isn't what I geared up to do it on and at this point I don't even have a choice regarding BIS.
Revert the changes immediately.
SE/YoshiP. Stop lamenting the dev's time has gone to waste.
It's far better to lose some dev time than to lose players who are pissed off / bored of your jobs.
Pull your head out of your ass and revert it.
As a former Monk main, this makes zero sense. Calling out others for giving their feedback in whatever way they expect would have the most impact makes no more sense now than then.
And, arguably, we shouldn't have limited ourselves to just a few threads. The SAM feedback is seeing far more cross-platform traction than we managed, and I wouldn't doubt a large part of that is just how (obnoxiously, if you care to call it such) visible those affected are complaining about the unwanted changes this time around.
Yes, most of those threads aren't meant to get to the heart of how and why the problems work, but simply to funnel attention to the few longer threads that really matter. But if that's what it takes to expand attention to the point the devs would have far more trouble ignoring it, then so be it.
Unlike the earlier Monk changes, which at least smoothed out a garbled mess (even if in arguably the wrong way), there's no redeeming feature to these changes here. They're therefore that much less excusable.
Shoha was only a tangential note to what was more broadly an issue of gameplay being centered around an inflexible skill for which a single instance of packet loss could utterly screw over your minute-by-minute rotation, being generally undertuned, and having been stripped of a core tool (Hagakure).
That what was presented as the then-capstone skill (Shoha) had turned out instead, in effect, to be a mere buff to a 1-minute-CD movement-and-turning-locked downtime skill (Meditation) was merely an iconic representation of that slap to the face.
The "solution" the devs gave, moreover, was half a Monkey's Paw outcome at best, and went directly against much of that same feedback's reasoning. It was not what SAMs at the time were fighting for.
I was still playing Monk alone at the time and even I couldn't garble the narrative that badly except by intent.
The simplest solution really is to just revert the damn changes.
