Hamlet: 50k Gold Chest

Hello everyone... I want to ask if anyone can help with how to get 50k+ points in hamlet... So far my highest point total is 48k... Now I know there are ways to get extra points to reach that 50k by like having more members in the party that are in the top 20 but what my main concern is how to pop that last mob... I have had friends that have been succesful with it but they dont do it on a consistent basis and can not figure out what the conditions are to pop the errant soul (if that is the correct name most of us call it the zombie or ghost or whatever)... most of them said it came by luck and others claim he pops randomly... i refuse to believe its a random pop and i have tried just about everything to get to him... but he never pops and im always stuck with a 45-48k win... and i might be mistaken but when he does pop its like a ten second window to grab him before he depops... Also i hear primal seals drop rate increases with 50k+ gold chest... now i dont know if thats true or a rumor but anything to increase the drop percentage would be nice and worthwhile... If anyone could help me on the conditions to get that last mob to pop it would be greatly appreciated... Thank you :D

Lol shows how much I need to learn when I win I get 5k points and that is without losing any carts.

i've only seen it twice n gave up on trying to figure it out. i just assume it's not going to pop

you can rule no deaths out

So far whenever I've seen it pop it's been with less than 10 minutes on the clock (usually 9:30 or so) and with no militia casualties (I think). This has been at Hyrstmill and Aleport. I haven't been to enough Golden Bazaar to see it there.

i've seen it pop over 11min @ golden bazaar

Where in the hamlet area have you seen that last nonbeastman pop?

In Aleport he pops in a cave to the North West of the starting area, up by the well at the end of the cave.

I was speaking to a Japanese friend of mine last night, and they have perfected a method (similar to the one I was working on) to do it without the 3rd non beastmen.

Strategy is: 1 WAR 2 WHM 3 DoH 2 DoL

It all comes down to killing everything, and then the boss as quick as possible. Resetting enmity needs to be done properly so NPCs eat them as they run by. I've gotten close with the method, but I haven't perfected it like they have.

Does anyone know where the 3rd non beastmen pops in the golden bazaar and hyrstmill?

if you add them all up, you can get 59,000+ points each run. just add the stack-able ones you can get with your group and do those to = 50,000+

Isnt there a well there? Seems like this nonbeastman spawns near the wells

Interesting.... I just don't see how you can get 50k if you kill the boss right away instead of waiting for all the waves to finish...

Are you counting on the points from a top 20?

He means kill the boss right away after all trash mobs are dead.

Yes, it will not work otherwise. Also as Sniper said, all the lower mobs must die, and then the boss. You want to have everything dead by roughly 11:00 for the time remaining bonus.

So the general strat is as follows? (with 1war/2whm/2dol/3doh)


Everyone but the tank has a damaged below level 10 weapon/tool
Gathers/Crafters spam as much as they can to get all the debuff bonus up (Try not to get hit)
Keep all the lines up
Kill the 2 roaming non agro npc's (can't count on the 3rd to always be there)
Kill boss after all waves and roughly 11:00 for the time remaining bonus.

Anything i missed?

Well that is per person, and also don't you qualify for each one? Or if you meet the requirements for the lowest one, do you no longer get the above ones?

So it's either
Party Members Using Weapons level 10 and Below = 80pts x 7 = 560

or you get
Party Members Using Weapons level 10 and Below = 80pts x 7 = 560
Party Members Using Weapons level 20 and Below = 40pts x 7 = 280
Party Members Using Weapons level 30 and Below = 20pts x 7 = 140
Party Members Using Weapons level 40 and Below = 10pts x 7 = 70
= 1050

Plus Party members using damaged weapons = 100 (no idea if its stackable)

Pretty much, but I wouldn't do the level 10 and below weps. The gatherers will fail a ton at the pots, and will garner more hate and die. Faster to just spam pots like nuts for the 60 pts per.

if you wear ALL gathering + gear it prevents this
from what i can tell you miss 1/10 pots at 62 gathering, and thats what im at, but im missing a single piece of gear still thatl top me up to 80 almost

Can you tell me why 3 doh?

If the dol have the hate reset, then wouldnt you want 3 dol to do red/blue/rainbow?

As far as doh I don't see how regen and reduced enmity is useful. Regen is for the Laborers and not the archers, and reduced enmity doesn't lost hate on the gathers/doh does it?

I don't know much about Hamlet yet but you guys talking about the Zombie Mage or w/e that pops?

att buff can never wear off. It's crucial. Also the level - weapons don't stack. So you would get 80 points per people using but it makes thing a lot harder.

Info from 2CH for this one so could be false info.

Perhaps the DoL poison effect is bad if it steals kill shots from the NPCs. If that really is a requirement. I'll test it.

i have an even better reason

2 doh cant get all 3 buffs up at the same time for its bonus
2 dol can EASILY do theirs though for its bonus

I dunno, seems weird to me that you cant kill shit with BLMs or poison. I think this further reinforces the notion that there is a kill order, and for whatever reason when the NPCs kill the beastmen they do it in correct order (perhaps due to how they enter).

its just more incentive to try and use everything imo, insted of a 6 blm 2 whm setup or something

Well you can nuke with BLM's just don't finish them off, let the soldiers do that part and you should be good per that blog poster.

Indeed, but it hurts not just BLMs. It hurts all battle heavy groups. When we've done hamlet we usually go with 5-6 DoW/DoM because its way more fun and interesting than being DoH/DoL

What would you recommend as the best third buff to have from doh then?

Regen or lower enmity? (Regen i thought only affected the soldiers, not the archers, and I don't know if the enmity loss means no agro for crafters)

We just got the Zombie to spawn at Aleport by having the mobs with the special wpns killed by the archers. They were not killed last or first, they were just killed by archers at random. We did a full dd setup with 1 crafter spamming attack up.

The mob poped by the well in the cave after the final wave of beastman were defeated.

There is enough content to do on battle classes. It's about time SE encouraged people to bring their crafters and gatherers to an event and actually be the ideal choice.

Just popped him. Worst screenshot ever cause I had a seizure when I noticed he actually popped.

It's behind where everyone enters. The far North East part. He disappeared shortly after I took SS. We killed final mob with 9 minutes left, we looked for about a minute by the time we actually found him. He was kissing the zone line, as you can see.

Used 1 WAR, 2 WHM, 3 DOH, 2 DOL, our 2nd time ever trying this. So, will most likely stick with it til we know for sure what happened. No one died for whole run, but we did lose our whole front line Archers.

Btw, it's name is Zombie Mage.

start with ALL 3 buffs for the bonus

after that all 3 can spam attack, another buff doesnt really matter at that point(dols would pretty much be spamming the same 2 debuffs also so it doesnt really chabge how anythings done)

and when the boss shows thats when you mix in enmity anyway

We have poped the Zombie mage several times in a row now. Get the special weapon Beastman to be killed by the Militia Archers. Everytime they have killed the three of them, Zombie Mage poped as soon as the last mob died (aside from NM)

Gold Baz pop loc is far east.

Here is our 50k win, no one in the top 20.
