What you can do about 6.1 Samurai

I'm in the boat of assuming that the 6.1 Samurai changes, especially Kaiten's removal are going to happen. So as a result until they revert the changes or address them properly I just won't play Samurai at all.

SQE pays attention to data regarding how much people play a job (loads of developers do this in similar games, it's some of the best and easiest data to gather), it was one of the reasons for Summoner's rework since it had such an astoundingly low player count.

So if anyone is in the boat where they can just drop Samurai and play something else until we get anything at all to address our concerns I suggest you do.
It's perfectly fine if you can't or don't want to, but do keep making noise!
Raise a bigger stink than the Hagakure debacle that happened just like this in early SHB!

The devs are more likely to pay attention to a single, very large thread rather than multiple threads that don't get beyond a single page.

This hasn’t helped healers though. They’re the least played role and numbers have dropped significantly and no major changes have been done :/ I doubt they care

If the devs cared about player feedback and suggestions, they'd see a slew of threads all related to the same topic and realise that they screwed up. Or better yet, they'd actually survey the playerbase or run public tests of proposed changes instead of forcing them upon us and then waiting to see if enough vitriol was generated on the forums after the fact. I think the devs have their own vision in mind at this point, and player feedback be damned. Endwalker marks a seriously low point of the game for me, and I'm not the only one feeling it - basically anyone who isn't maining WAR is having a pretty sour time with this expansion it seems.

I think the issue with the healer changes is that they brought more (generally less interested) people into playing the jobs possibly, I can't say since I only started playing a healer properly in Endwalker though.
Player count goes up = good in the eyes of the devs
If you have any good sources for tracking that kind of stuff tho I'd love to know, not in a fact checking way but as a useful tool in the future.
And yes I can completely agree with sentiment regarding Scholar as one who plays it currently. Fuck so much of the kit, which apparently had more in the past.

I really wish we had a PTR like that just for testing technical aspects and garnering feedback.
As it is currently, coupling the hopeful idea of lower player counts on Samurai like I suggest and the feedback in the many channels (reddit twitter or w/e + forums) should hopefully really show that the samurai changes as they are now aren't in anyone's best interest.
I doubt the removal of Kaiten makes the job any more attractive to new comers, unlike a complete retooling similar to summoner, or simplification of more "stressful" roles like tank or healer.

We can't let this issue just fade away. Keep bumping these threads

Yoshi P is aware of people on the forums disliking these changes. If we don't let the issue just die here and continue our outrage, it may be walked back

Yeah and I heard they want us to play the patch for ourselves then post feedback. I'll be compiling a list of better solutions after considering what the changes set out to do.
