WHM changes so far are... whatever. Better than nothing, but there are more important issues I hope they will touch (lilies and Misery).

I'm kind of okay with the nerfs to SCH Expedience. You rarely got to use its full duration anyway. It' still hurts that they would nerf the Capstone ability after it was all SCH got in that Endwalker trailer shitshow, but well, It doesn't change the fact that we have it in the first place. Its a strong ability if only visually undewhelming.
Still… still no mention about lily system, at all?

Still not sure why Earthly Star was expanded into oblivion but Scared Soul and Asylum can't be massive too. It's like Astro is the only one they want to be failsafe in every way possible.
WHM has finally completed its transformation into a shitty version of AST with LoTB being buffed from being useless to being a shitty earthly star that deals no dmg and has triple the cooldown.
+1 to Kaiten getting scrapped. Felt pretty redundant and it finally brings SAM down to 32 actions.
New PVP design overall looks actually pretty good and fun to be honest.
Mah.. Know there are many of the problems but as we are going for simple low hanging fruit changes.
Cure 2/Cure 1 costs same as Benific 2/Benific 1 when? If we are making only simple adjustments how difficult is it to make the skills that do exactly same thing cost the same?
Basically nothing changed. It's just small QoL tweaks.
Cure III is still rubbish. Asylum/Soil range might catch an extra dps once in a while, but doesn't really change that much. Lilybell tweak is ...something? ...if you can't preplan and doesn't hurt to have, but it's not a cooldown reduction.

I Just don't get it ; the only job with a clear nerf is SCH . Just . Why ?
No word on more OP jobs, but they still put it there as the only nerf... Do they have a generator that run on SCH salt ?
I'm not even playing that job anymore, so I almost find it funny how they manage to ruin any enthusiasm for it
Each job is getting their own unique Limit Break, with how crazy flashy that is, with a cast wind-up, I assume that will be WHM's personal LB. All the jobs will be more akin to DPS with some job identity, so if I had to take a stab I would say it's probably going to act like a Pneuma that hits harder.
The Lilly Bell change is the only thing that actually seems truly big. While it's not as cool as WHM being able to self pulse the bell, or individual stacks to each player received, being able to essentially burst the bell for all remaining stacks makes it useable in all situations. Even if we go off the current design of Bell where its leftover stacks are expelled for a 200 potency heal, a basically 50% effective of their original value, giving WHM the ability to choose when to burst that heal is essentially a potential 1000 potency oGCD heal on command, more powerful then a Zoe enhanced Pneuma or Full powered Earthly star. The only potential heal stronger would be of course Macro. But either way a heal that strong on command would mean WHM would now laugh at mechanics like Phoinix overkill.
It doesnt fix the issues with Lily and misery, but it's a start. Asylum range buff is nice too. Outside of that... yeesh.

That's basically what Bell has been all expansion if you just preplan a little and pop it down before a raidwide. (In fact, usually 1200, 400 from the raidwide + 800). It won't help WHM much on P3s because saving it for Death's Toll means you won't have it for FoF or FoA. The cooldown is too long.
Yeah that's where the negative comes in still. Its much more useable now, and almost worth in terms of just raw healing potential, but its cooldown is still too long, feels like it should be 2 minutes even in this state. But that still wouldn't be enough. This is where if they havent fixed the lilies, (make them a DPS neutral, or hell actually a DPS gain to encourage their useage, or just finally make them oGCD for the love of god), WHM is still unfortunately a massive drain on their co healers resources.
My comment is more that Lilly Bell is actually useable in all situations now from just low content to big ones and has some actual player agency for emergency triage, not just a niche tool that WHM has to plop down during a time of no damage for one big burst thats coming up. But yeah if they didn't fix other things it doesnt amount too much.
Oh man I can't wait for these patch notes. If that screenie floating around with the hotbars and MP costs is finalized then they've managed to dig under even my wildest low expectations for knowing what's wrong with WHM's MP economy. Yeah, regen was too expensive, that was it.
It's sad that the biggest buff mentioned was making WHM not suck at Death's toll in P3S.
Nerfing the zoom on Expedient is hilarious though.

Kaiten change is fucking terrible and they should've compressed shoha+shoha2 and hissatsu:guren+hissatsu:senei instead if button bloat was the issue.
Instead they took away a key part of kenki management and got rid of one of the cooler feelings of the class: powering up your big moves.

There was no management. TF you talking about? Each combo gave you enough for a single kaiten. It was a flashy oGCD. That’s about it.
If you were dumb and blew all your opening kenki on your damage OGCDs then you wouldn't be able to use it for the buffs, ergo there is still management there. It also feels impactful to buff up one's stronger moves like that, and getting rid of that for the sake of un-needed simplicity, especially when LITERALLY NOT A SINGLE SOUL complained about it, is just dumb in my book and a waste of dev time. Especially when people actually complained about the button bloat in the form of separate AOE abilities for your long-CD kenki spenders and for Shoha when they could've been easily compressed.
I don’t care about back in the day. Samurai are swimming in Kenki since EW. There is no management. At all.
Totally get expedient keeps its 10% damage taken reduction duration but kinda irritated the nerf to expedient goes from 20 to 10 seconds I enjoyed this skill. It is quite irritating that scholar and WHM don't compare to their SGE/AST counterparts, though sure we haven't seen the patch notes yet.
At least leave expedient at 20s if used outside combat.... it was so nice using it in dungeons...
