I want to delete a thread, the official help says theres a button to do so... but there isn't. Then everyone says to contact a mod, I find a mod, and I cant privately message them.
So what am I supposed to do? :(

Threads usually don’t get deleted around here unless the mods find them problematic. Otherwise, I don’t think there’s much you can do. I don’t think using the report button to report your own thread to be closed has ever worked.

Avoid the issue altogether, and just 'manage' the forums by shifting posts to a 'more appropriate forum'. Never mind answering the question, that goes above and beyond. -

The delete button is only there if the administrators have given permission to delete own threads. Because they haven't, the button isn't there. The reason why is pretty obvious, they don't want you to delete a thread that has had lots of replies to it.
The moderators will not remove your own thread if it does not violate rules and has already had conversation in it. -
