I love the clown outfit :)

Really cool that we're getting new face paint. I hope this means we will get more in future events.

I hate the outfit but I love the pumpkin lanterns.

Hell yeah, lvl 1 glam pieces.

The pumpkin flower vase is really nice too!

Wish we could have gotten a clown nose without a hat tho, so viera and hrothgar could wear it too.

Would have been nice having a variant without the collar/nose.

Yes, a clown nose would have perfectly symbolized how I felt while I was still playing a Viera and thinking they would take into account these races being unable to wear certain items for future events.

They rework the Sage job icon because it has holes in it and people complained, but a clown costume which is a pretty big phobia is fine x)

The pants and boots look like good all-purpose items.

All the players named Krusty the clown can now personify him.

I like the items and clothes.Hoping the clown nose visors like some of the old items so it can be used for glams

Hell yeah, new clothes! I might wear the jacket for a while depending on how it's affected by dyes.

I'm just saying that I find it odd.

I'm high-key terrified of spiders and have to look at gross, long legged creatures run around on their gross, thin ugly.... ugh legs and all. Makes me shudder just thinking about it.
I'm also mega afraid of heights without boarders and such, yet they are everywhere in the game too.

Also isn't it usually the makeup that scares people? And it's not even THAT clown-y, as in big shoes, big pants, big top, the only big thing is the collar.
And those collars were used by rich people back then, too. Thats not purely a clown thing.

It just be that way, i would rather have the game not have spiders in it. But alas...

A clown is a clown, but I agree it could be way worse.

This was always silly to me, in EW there's mobs that would trigger that phobia regardless and there's other enemies and locations that would.

Clown phobia only exists in the west so it wouldn’t surprise me if the devs didn’t even know about it like they didn’t know about the hole thing at first.

I wonder if it's just significantly more common in NA?

People have some bizarre phobias, there's people who are afraid of balloons and hands.

I think it's more, since it's Halloween the costume is actually MEANT to be scary.
And as someone who finds clowns one of the creepiest things you could put in horror, I'd say it's doing its job with me.

Just hoping there won't be full towns fiilled with them, like what happened with frog costumes.

For what it’s worth, the only person I personally know who legitimately has it lives in Europe.

But it’s a phobia of a human-made thing and I don’t think stuff like that is universal among cultures. I think clown phobia only started to be a thing after the first IT and is probably caused by watching something scary with an evil clown in it at an impressionable age.

A few studies have suggested that the USA is hit pretty hard from it, while the rest of the non-English world isn't. In NA, it's been growing from the 1990s when Pennywise hit their screens. It would be interesting if there is a correlation with Hollywood's horror, and the fear of them.

But it's not something really studied in any great numbers, so I am sort of taking the few studies I read with a grain - nay, a tonne - of salt. One interesting number in one study was around 1.2% of people in the USA are coulrophobic, making it one of the more common phobias in that country.

The SGE icon change was supposed to have happened due to negative feedback about phobias from the JP community too, I think it's supposed to be more common in JP.

It does become a problem if they have to think about all fears people might have whenever they make ANYTHING.
Sucks to have phobias but there is already jester-like gear in the game and all, too.

You cant always look out for everybody, as mean as it sounds.

I personally love the things we will get, the top could make for really fun glanours.

Coulrophobia might be a problem for some people, maybe.

Glamor and face paint is really cool. But I have two complaints. 1. What's up with these new knee length shorts being paired with boots? The happiness pants and now these. 2. Viera and Hrothgar are most likely going to be excluded from wearing this top hat.
