Why.. .an event with HATS as rewards when Vieras and hrothgars -still- can't wear hats. This is getting so unfunny by now. When Vieras was released I was horrified that they couldn't wear hats OR hairs that I paid irl money from the online store for. Hairs that all other races can earn and wear in game.
It breaks my hear to try and put together a glamour because .. all those hats we can't wear. Please.. PLEASE. We waited so patiently all through shadowbringers, saying Yoshi P promised to have hats fixed.. he will keep his promise. But for once.. he hasn't.
And it breaks my heart. I love vieras. They are so cool!
We just want what the other races wants.. hats and hairs.
Please?
And now to ..with heavy hearts and steps.. go back to Heavensturn (2022).. which.. has rewards I Can't use. Because. .hats.

And while I would agree with "Well it's what you signed up for when you decided to play Viera!", we're now well over a year since they were introduced, and even more so- time was put into making the male viera before addressing this.
So, yeah, me from 2 years ago would disagree with you.
Me now? It's time, you're right. They really just need to hunker down and do a solid TLC patch addressing this and other general backburner issues. -

of all the Viera complaints about hats, this is one that seems valid. I never thought of it (just saw the rewards as being a bit crap) but naturally I can still use the rewards. Releasing events that two races don't benefit from is a bit poor. It's not even asking them to be retroactive, just proactive for implementation of new items since the two races release since ShB. It would likely be enough to placate a lot of these complaints. Guess they don't care though?
At least the housing item is cool. -

I do get your point though, and yes, all should be allowed to be worn by Viera I don't deny that and I hope you get your wish, however, this event's hat is surely not really something you would want to mess up your nice looks with.
(Technically, this is surely one where they could easily remove the ears, like they have been doing with Miq'ote a lot recently.) -

For other events, like the Valentione's event last year where all we got was the moogle cap, then yes it is silly that it was the reward they chose to give out when some races can't equip it.
For Heavensturn in particular, they always give animal helmets. This is the year that the set of twelve is complete. They're not going to make something that doesn't match the other eleven.
Maybe next year they'll move on to a new design that everyone can equip. -

Not certain why you think Vieras aren't welcome. The event is for everyone and almost no one is going to use the head gear rewards. They're going to get tossed into the Armoire and forgotten just like they do every year.
The housing screen is a nice item though, and I don't see anything on those saying "you cannot use this item if you are a Viera". -

Imo all items that will go to the mogshop should work on all races. Ideally everything works in everything, but if one said you can have unique faces / race with restrictions or not at all... then I would absolutely take the restriction.

From what I understand , Viera were added only because of overwhelming feedback ( i guess after the invalice raid cutscene character appeared on screen) of the community.
Did they state that they won't get hats before ShB , or are they the sort that think " tough, you wanted vieras, we didnt , take it or leave it" ? -

So, in order to compromise with the community (as I said in my first post on this forum) he stated that we would have more exclusive hairstyles to come - it was a good idea at the time, but I'm not sure what the hell happened with that. Either they failed to come up more with viera-themed hairstyles or the community complained that they want Viera to basically be just like the other races (Even though it's impossible) - high demand usually wins.Quote:

Like Hilda's ponytail, there were countless requests for it & Yoshi-P said "if more requests come in then maybe" Maybe? if many requests are still being made for that specific hairstyle, then why is it still a maybe? I agree with you on this - and Male viera & Hrothgar should have come much later & instead the design team should have worked on putting more Race specific hairstyles on Viera & fixing them by adding mog station hairs & in-game reward hairstyles too- I'm half convinced that the two-week delay Yoshi-P needed was so they could quickly put a random assortment of hairstyles on Viera, because of how rushed the job looks.
If male hrothgar had come out now, then they probably wouldn't be such a limited class cosmetically
Female Viera might have the fixes people want & that the race needs & more time would have been devoted to them in ShB if they were the only race being developed at that time
If male viera had been pushed out much later, they would probably have better features as well
I'm worried to see how rushed female hrothgar will be because I know they'll be just as limited & the XIV team will just forget about them like they clearly have any other cosmetic feature race related (miqo'te ears/ tailed races, Viera & Hrothgar altogether) -

In GW2 each race/ gender has their own hairstyle & it works really well (aside from 2-3 hairstyles that are easy to blend like ponytails) But requests were made for a some hairstyles from a giant race to be ported over to a much smaller race, it happened & noone made that mistake again because of how bad it looked. -
