New 2-star recipes/rotations of EW 6.05

The stats requirements for the new 2 star stuff are just sooooo low! I thought I'd run into some trouble with my silly "Piety pentamelds", but I'm actually doing just fine!

I thought I'd need at least Blood Bouillabaisse, but no, I actually just needed Match HQ! LOL!

Below are my current stats for my non-spec, and also my "pentamelds" which emphasizes on Piety (just kidding... it's for spiritbonding! But it still works fine to craft these things!):

(To be fair, I did use 2 pieces of Grade 10 materia on my choker and bracelet in-slot melds, and I did some minimal overmelded with Grade 9 materia on these 2 pieces of accessories as well. But apart from these, I used ONLY Grade 7 / 8 materia for my melds.)

Note that I still CANNOT effectively macro the 2-star 70 durab items from 0 to max quality with these silly melds (I need 2 pieces of HQ mats if I macro). But I CAN effectively macro the 2-star 35 durab items from 0 to max, and I only needed to use Matcha HQ without any kind of med. And with a few pieces of HQ mat, the final 70 durab item is nothing difficult.

The Trick of Trade is there to prevent Poor condition on Byregot. Just ignore the error message.

If you need a bit more extra power for quality. Easily add a line of...

...after the Advanced Touch. It will cost you and extra 32 CP. So the macro becomes 637cp.

I am on 3247 craft / 3219 control (after food). If you have too much craft, you will actually prematurely complete the item with this macro. So just add a line of...

If you are one of those who spent millions of gil pentamelding with Grade X materia. Well, you should have sufficient stats to effectively macro the 70 durab items from 0 to max!!! So you can just NQ all your intermediate mats to save time! Please make the best use of your stats, fellow crafters! :)


As for the 70 durab items, I do need Chili Crab HQ and Craftsman's Cunning Tea HQ to perform my macro.

It needs 2 pieces of HQ mat to guarantee HQ. However, if I manual craft with this rotation and tweak it on the spot, then I pretty much do not need any HQ mat. Perhaps just 1 piece of HQ mat to be safe.

Yeah, it's pretty stupid, isn't it? I'm a PIETY CRAFTER! And I'm not even using the latest Tsai tou Vounou HQ that I prepared... and I can still effectively macro everything in 6.05!

Crafting is, once again, in ultra-breeze mode at the moment! I don't think I need to update my crafting guide for now... People won't need it!

I'm just gonna continue using my spiritbonding gear set like this, and keep collecting free Grade 9/10 materia until I actually need them later.

As a casual crafter and some who cratfs with min req. This makes me a bit concerned.

Caimie is like one of the best, if not the most knowledgeable crafters i've met during my time playing FF XIV. i wouldn't be surprised if one day there's a crafter NPC or some emote in her name.

Now I am really starting to believe someone goofed. 4 levels using just 9 hq leve turn ins???? Don't remember shb leve's jumping that far on 9. I was half way to 81 with bonus exp and fc buff but come on.

Thanks for your kind words! But honestly, these recipes are so easy that I don't even proud solving them... I just found it so silly and ironic that my Piety melds worked without even using the strongest food and med (I was actually prepared to take off the Piety and overmeld with more Grade 7/8 on my left gear, and possible Grade 9...)! Well, perhaps if I had melded more Skill Speed, I could have crafted them faster! :rolleyes:

Well, that's why I mentioned on the other thread that leveling BSM/ARM/GSM is ~3/10 in difficulty, and leveling LTW/ALC is ~5/10...

By chance I had a lot of skillspeed materia in my inventory, so my rotations are super fast ;). Seriously, this is just brilliant and my thanks for this very helpful information.
I am talking to a number of crafters who just want to make themselves a few pieces for the savage raid and cannot figure out how to craft anything without spending millions on materia, or spending days farming scrip. I will refer them here.

Well, it's "brilliant" on the sense that even people without pentamelds / expensive melds can still effectively macro everything! But it's also the PROBLEM as well!
We all know Master Recipes had become quite a joke since many years ago. But back then, we still need some decent melds to effectively macro them. Now you can randomly slap a few low grade materia from last expansion, and probably can still macro them! I think a lot of crafters are actually disappointed... Just when we thought it can't get any easier, they showed us that it actually CAN! LOL!

With decent melds (not fully maxed since I farmed the materia myself) I can 1-100% the new gear on NQ Chili Crab and nothing else, non-specialist. No need to care about HQ for the intermediate mats, new food, draughts or the rest. Just throw a macro together day 1 and churn out new gear. It's a little disappointing since Master Crafts are basically figured out right from the start.

We all know Master Recipes are really just for entry level crafter these days. So easiness is expected (just not THIS ridiculous...). For now, we'll just keep collecting free materia from spiritbonding, and wait for new gear for some true overmelds, getting ready for new Expert Recipes. Oh, I know they will come... just a lot later... probably another 6 months or so... 6 month of free materia from spiritbonding and Custom Deliveries will be enough to overmeld our hearts out everything without paying a dime.

Btw, Jojoya has figured out that i570 battle retainer is giving 15 items on level 88 (Ophiotaurus Hide/Berkanan Sap) and 12 on level 89 (Dynamis Crystal).

This means there's reason to craft a few of these i580 for our retainers too! (even though there's no more "profit" selling these i580 as the market has already crashed)
And if the market TRULY crashes super bad, we may even just BUY the gear for our retainers instead of crafting them ourselves! LOL!

This is some really good news. I wanted to get into crafting for this expansion and was really worried that it'll be too expensive to have to overmeld everything every two patches.

Although the leveling process should have been a hint, I suppose. I leveled everything to 90 wearing my overmelded 490 HQ, and in fact I got all my books yesterday while still wearing those 490 HQ accessories because they're actually a lot better than my 560 HQ before overmelding.

I'm so glad I didn't just blindly follow some end-game crafting guide and spend a couple million on overmelding my gear.

I wish I was hyped for more Experts. I really like the idea of them and how they work, but after the unhealthy hectic Ranked Seasons and ridiculously long grinds like the Pteranodon and Resplendent tools I can't help dreading them at the same time.

Hmmm... I think you misunderstood the amount of "Expert Recipes" that Liam had done...

First, Skybuilders' Expert Recipes are the easiest out of all 3 kinds of Expert Recipes, with only ~10K progress & 65000 quality to fill, and with Centered condition to capitalize on. By contrast, the Restoration(4) Expert Recipes are the hardest, with 12,046 Difficulty & 81,477 Quality, and they have only 55 durability instead of 60. Furthermore, they do not come with the "Centered" condition. The Resplendent Expert Recipes are somewhere in between.

Second, each Skybuilders' Tool only require 20 Expert Crafts (if you do it perfectly).... let's say you messed up a few, it still won't be anything more than 25. By contrast, if you were going after Seasonal Ranking, you would have been grinding Restoration(4) Expert Recipes. Each one gives about 1200-1300 Skyward Points if you max the quality. To be even competitive on the ranks, someone would probably need at least 600K Skyward Pts. That's at least 461 Expert Crafts, which is still more than all 8 Skybuilders Tools added together. Furthermore, Pteranodon mount requirse 500K Skyward Pts from EVERY DoH and DoL class, which means at least 385 Expert Crafts from EVERY DoH! Lastly, Resplendent Tools require at least 100 Expert Recipes per tool...

Avalionis: 40-50 Skybuilders' Expert Crafts
Liam: ~200 Skybuilders' Expert Crafts + ~460 Restoration(4) Expert Crafts (for ranking) + ~2700 Restoration(4) Expert Crafts (for Pteranodon) + ~800 Resplendent Expert Crafts = 4160...
So, the amount of Expert Crafts Liam did was ~100 folds more! :rolleyes:

If you would like to double-check whether you did your Skybuilders' Expert Crafts in a reasonably efficient manner, you might wanna cross check with how I did it:

It should take less than 4 min or 5 min to finish each Expert Craft for Skybuilders' tools. So each tool should take no longer than 100 min. When I did these, I remember each craft took about 3 to 4 min to complete, so it was about 1 hour's work for each tool.

Two things need to be ajdusted:
- Difficulty raised back to shb level or above. I have changed pants,hat and chest. Replacing tools now pretty confident I can make 90 on these changes before replacing anymore gear. I am miles away from fully over melded..not even using the best melds.

- EW crafting leves exp yield reduced. Gaining half a level with one HQ turn in should not be happening. I dont mind faster leveling but this is ludicrious speed..

Crafting in DQ2 builders is sounding more fun at the moment. And its crafting is simpler then FF14.More fun simply cause you earn recipes as you play and the game only points out where raw materials are when leading you to a new area. Rest of the time you got too hoof it and explore. Not liking the feeling at all with FF14, love all the new housing stuff though.

Sadly while I did do a ridiculous number, I admit I never finished the Pteranodon and didn't get all the Resplendent Tools. At some point I burnt out and dropped it, life is too short.

Yeah, in fact, much much faster if pentamelded.

When I became all-90 DoH at the beginning of Endwalker, I had zero Grade 10 materia to begin with. So I only lightly-melded my lvl 90 white gear with just Grade 8/7 materia like this, and pentamelded with irrelevant materia, so every gear has maximum spiritbonding speed. I prefer to make my own Grade 9/10 materia instead of buying. I have plenty of gil, but I refused to pay 10 mil on the MB to pentameld my gear with Grade 9/10 materia before even knowing the upcoming 2-star master recipes' requirements. Going max stats blindly is not my style. I prefer to know what I need before spending on the pentamelds.

And this time, it paid off completely. Because even with these silly melds, I could still craft everything with ease. That means I have a few months' time to spiritbond, and to extract hundreds of Grade 9/10 materia for pentamelding future gear sets later.

The 70 durab rotation needed a slight modification by changing the Delicate Syn to a Careful Syn. The result is slightly less quality, but actually requires even fewer CP. In the end, need about 3 pieces of HQ mats, and CP needed is 631cp:

So did camies 6.1 35dur with 3210 craft 3104 con 632 cp. With pot and food trialed it twice 100% both times. Have only one overmeld control +12..

For the 70 dur items, with only 3210 craft, I believe you will need to switch the last Basic Syn to a Careful Syn. And you probably need around 4K quality to begin with using HQ mat.

Thanks for the heads up :D Ya I always do master recipes with 3 to 4 hq mats to push the quality up. If needed though I am ready to overmeld some more.

Thanks again for the info. Had to do some more overmelds. Also worked out how to get my non-specialist crafters in range of just needing 3k in hq mats.

Not sure why or whats up. But the second part of the 35 dur. Is skpping steps even though I have checked over and over and over to make sure its typed correctly. I am not lagging but it is without a doubt skipping steps.

If I enter the second part manually it 100% hqs every time as all the steps are being met. I have no clue whats going on but if someone has a answer on how to fix it would love too hear it. The macro for some reason is skipping Advanced touch and trained finesse..

Found the problem lol I am a moron.. Standard touch had wait typed <wait 3> instead of <wait.3> Old age sucks I just didnt notice.
