Refund for Fantasia NOW

I think this is the best move that Square Enix can do.

Try doing it in the early morning or late at night when the congestion has temporarily gone down for the day.

They can't build their servers because there is a shortage of supplies needed to make servers.

Since it is still possible to use fantasia's (a few of my friends have used fantasias recently to change back to other races from male viera, it is just fine for SE to sell them.

Not everyone who can play in the early mornings or late evenings is a NEET…

Literally figure out what character design you want, save it, and log in RQ in the early morning before you go out to work. It would take 5 minutes.

Have you tried calling and demanding to speak to their manager?

Like other people suggested, you may have to either stay up really late or set an alarm to wake up really early to fantasia, it's not ideal considering you're the one who has to work around SE's issue. It's unfortunate you can't get a refund for your fantasia, considering you're paying for a service that you can't use. But the congestion is temporary and hopefully not a long-term thing for much longer. Although, since Christmas I've noticed the ques have died down significantly so maybe the worst of the congestion is over? Let's hope.

I hope you manage to use your fantasia soon and have a nice new years!

To be fair, she said she didn't *buy* a fantasia. But you do get a fantasia for free while playing.

I used a Fantasia on day 1 when it was the most congested without any issue. Idk what your problem is? Sorry SE isn't helpful. Also, the BBB doesn't really affect them and likely won't change anything.

It's not business malpractice if they can actually be used. Just because it's not working for you at the moment doesn't make it a global issue.

Also, having a 9-5 job isn't an excuse to not be able to briefly log into the game; Back when 2.0 was released, I was going to school full-time (5+ classes), I held a job 40 hours per week and was also in a relationship. I still had time to play ffxiv quite a lot, every day.

Because this way, you can log in (let's say 10pm or whenever) and you don't need to spend more than 5 minutes in the game. This isn't complicated, lmao.

1. Go to New Character Creation, create the preset you'd like to Fantasia to, and Confirm > Save > Quit without getting into the bio fluff. No queue needed for that.

2. You work 9 am - 5 pm, right? If you're waking at 8, depending on what things you do early in the morning you can log in for a few minutes, and unequip everything. Use your Fantasia and log off.

3. Next chance you get time, just load in your preset and fill the fluff fields in.

I get that it may seem silly and unfair that you bought a Fantasia and can't use it. But when stuff like this happens, you've got to get your money's worth somehow or the other especially when the refund process is long (or in some cases impossible). None of the CS people sees posts here so besides a public denunciation this accomplishes little.

As for the queues, I think congestion went down big past few days. You should try to get this sorted before Savage is out.

Try relogging your game.
I had the same thing happen to me but relogging seemed to work.
This was during a 600q time too.

Sorry this is rough for you. I hope it works out. I don't know how I can avoid sounding condescending, but since you can't play a lot, isn't using fantasia kinda pointless, since that's the whole idea? You can always wait until you get the chance to play for a long stretch of time.

Many people have more then one character. But I was originally a hyur and changed to Au'ra later, I used the fantasia that came with the CE.
I actually didn't knew that beforehand, found it out later in the mog mail ingame.


But my stance still holds true I've never bought a fantasia. Maybe I should say trough mogstation too.

I work a job that has had me work from 8:30 to 5:30.

I made time to log into the game before heading to work when Endwalker first launched so that I could get in some game time in case the queues were not being kind to me - I had been decently affected by the queue drop bugs at the launch of Endwalker. I would get up an hour earlier. If your goal was just to fantasia, you could probably get away with just 15-30 minutes earlier. I'm sure that is entirely possible for you. If your computer takes forever to load up, it won't kill your computer to be on one night overnight.

I had no queues during that time and would see the portrait of my character.

I mean it is annoying, and for those asking it might not be an issue right now but the actual problem isn't with drinking the potion - it's that you can't customize your character when they have character data loading stopped at the login screen because of congestion. Which has been the case since around 130pm today on my server (I'm assuming it still is now that it's prime time as well).

Still this post is kind of a yikes. It's annoying, sure, but it's a side effect of the congestion problem that's been keeping people out of the game entirely for weeks. I'm pretty sure other account services are also unavailable right now too? This one at least can still be used during off hours. I had to wait until early morning and do a quick copy from a premade character save myself just to go bunny boy. It took a couple of days seeing as my server was hitting 6k+ queues every day at the start, but it is possible. Annoying and unfortunate, but possible.

I have a 9-5 job, like most normal people, as well. I rise at 6 am and play for 2 hours before heading to work, no problem. I just go to bed at 10 pm at night, like most normal people.

I have used Fantasias on 3 alts between the hours of 6 am and 9 am with no problems.

This sounds more like you don't want to be inconvenienced, rather than it's impossible.

You'd think covid would have taught people a bit of patience.
Were you one of the people at the back of a 100m long queue to get into the supermarket complaining that you needed to be home in 20 minutes?

You can whine and complain and boycott all you like, it's not going to stop the servers being stressed.

You work 9-5? Boo hoo, so do most of us. Weekends exist, and you could always wake up 30 minutes earlier and do it before work.

They've already indicated that they're not interested in actual solutions. I already recommended this on the first page and their response was "BUH I DUN WANNA!"

And here we are. Instead of actual problems with logging in or server errors we are back to levels of forum nonsense with such great positions as:

"I don't want solutions, I want to be mad"

It's kinda nice to be back to normal .

I work 7am to 6pm Monday through Friday. I managed to Fantasia my alt just fine. I’m assuming you don’t work 9 to 5 every day, yes? Perhaps try the weekend? The queues are really low usually around 8am, so it’s not even an ungodly early hour.

not sure what a NEET is, but I am on Zalera, I log in various times of the day. so, server load? laughable. queue times are pre EW, so, I will call you out on this one.

you have to be only able to load in during a VERY narrow high load time. and no clue what time that is because max I have seen lately is a queue of 52. because any time through the rest of the day, there is no load.

in this case, I am calling it a "you" issue... not SE

NEET is an acronym for "Not in Education, Employment, or Training". In this case, it's used as a disparaging thing, implying that anyone who can play the game in early mornings or late at night is unemployed and doesn't contribute to society.
