BRD or DNC easier to 90 ?

Which is more easier and relaxing to play and also able to learn mechanics and also able to progress through 90 content and end game but also easy on wrist/arm/hands/fingers and also easy to master (learn) fast but worth maining for long time (dislike caster/tank/healer due to anxiety)

you cant really mess up the dancer rotation and theres no upkeep either

bards you gotta keep up with your dots and your songs

while i enjoy both dancer is definitely the beginner friendly of the 2 classes

Both classes are a lot of fun, but I would agree DNC is super easy since the only major thing to worry about is keeping up your dances and knowing who to put Dance Partner on. BRD is more technical since you're having to do more maintenance with DoTs and your songs, but you also can buff the party more.

Well one starts at level 1 and the other at level 60 so if you were totally new to both that would call it right there.

Otherwise one is a physical ranged DPS with nearly all instant cast abilities that is able to be constantly mobile and the other is a physical ranged DPS with nearly all instant cast abilities that is able to be constantly mobile...

As in, it's kind of a wash - the best one if going to be the one that is more fun. But these two both occupy almost the same niche in the game so really hard to call.

DNC has dance upkeep and the management of both Standard Finish and Technical Finish—two dance buffs. One is every 30 seconds and the other is every 2 minutes. They don’t have DoT upkeep like BRD does, but they do have to maintain their dance buff just like BRD has to upkeep its song rotation.

I haven’t played EW BRD, but BRD in the past has been known for being the busier of the physical ranged due to procs. However, DNC also has RNG procs you have to keep up with. Neither is hard, though. The physical ranged role as a whole is catered to be akin to “Baby’s First DPS”.

I prefer dancer, both aesthetically and just because it's easier. You're not going to be pulling huge numbers with dancer, it's a supportive dps, but it's fun and people want them around for the buffs.

Also while ST dps is lacking, they do shred trash packs like some sort of terrifying merry-go-round with knives strapped to it. Last expansion i liked to do DNC for my dungeon roulettes because it made them go sooo much faster.

DNC is likely easier, it's highly mobile and does some decent dps against trash with standard/technical finish.

It’s also worth considering that Dancer has recovery abilities like Curing Waltz and Improvisation, whereas Bard only has Nature’s Minne that increases HP recovery on a single target and the role skill Second Wind which Dancer also has access to. Minne is every 90 seconds whereas Curing Waltz is just 60 (though considering the DNC heal EX groups that may not last much longer lol).

Whether you’re in a party or just solo I’d definitely say Dancer is the best option, since you have more options to cover from mistakes than if you were a Bard. Of course, the exchange for having more recovery options is having quite a bit less damage than a Bard

In defense of BRD, its upkeep has gotten significantly easier with songs and dot duration being buffed to be longer now. Less scrambling and micromanagement.

Still hard choice :(

Play both and see. I tried both and really loved Bard more. It is mostly personal preference. Both are pretty great.

BRD basics are still the same. Keep your dots up, snapshot them under buffs. Manage your songs based on the fight downtime phases. Everything else is straightforward.

I simply play all 3 ranged dps side by side, leveling takes a bit extra time but I kind of like having the option to pick the one I am most in the mood for on that moment. Them sharing main gear most of the time really helps too.

Dancer starts at 60 and seems much easier to use. I really enjoyed it much more than I thought I would.

I main DNC and love it for its speed and mobility.

I miss En Avant every time I play a non-dancer

I would honestly say DNC is more accessible because while both jobs have technical aspects to them, the BRD has a high rate of micro management and CPM (casts per minute, basically the amount of keys you'll be pressing through) making it a very fast paced job at higher levels.

DNC used to have moments of extreme CPM (when they had four procs to rotate through during Flourish) but they've actually calmed down on CPM a lot, they're a fun job and while they don't "seem" strong, they're easily any melee dps' best friend because they constantly keep them buffed.

So Dancer should be my next class to 90 then but worried about too many buttons to press or mashing :(

Dancer is easier, but Bard is a lot more beginner friendly than it used to be with the Endwalker adjustments.

Take your Dancer to Summerford Farms in La Noscea and hit a training dummy for a bit. You will see the combo actions light up and guide you to the correct button presses. If you practice a bit you'll be OK.

Just make sure you set your AOE buttons and practice them too. Dancer AOE is very, very good.

Decided to go bard due to dancer needs to weaver a lot of ogcds .....

Do you have problems hitting two buttons?

Maybe I’m wrong but doesn’t Bard require much more weaving than Dancer…?

BRD has two songs that require quite a bit of oGCD, yes. But DNC has a chance for oGCDs all the time. BRD oGCD is more regular. I'm not actually sure which does more. But both do them quite regularly.
