come on reiheart get the job, we need faster translation of every japanese important matter
how is reinheart gonna get the job when he admitted his english vocab is limited?
it's a localization position not a community rep position
Localization is much more then just pure translations, they put a lot of work on creating local flavor and bringing the dialog to life. I am sad that they are forced to deal with almost zero voice acting and the whole verbose requirements. Many NPC's I wish could come to life especially a few of the pirate figures in LL and the PGL job quest NPC's as well.
You know subligars; I'd say your command of the English language is just fine :)
He already said no in his original thread, so give the position to someone else. Besides, who else would supply the subligar?
I am sure Reinheart is capable of chasing up his own job opportunities. It is a little creepy you feel the need to do it for him.
I'll admit my first thought when I saw the listing was: 'Did they ask Reinheart first?' It would be cool if he would get it as he is a major face in the community but it's understandable if it's not in the cards.
At least Reinheart you know you are appreciated :P
When the person himself doesn't want it. Why do you have to make a thread just trying to force on him?
I remember seeing he said that he has family with him, it is not easy move.
It's probably not a good idea to move to Japan now anyway with the radioactive mutating food and everything.... http://fukushima-diary.com/2012/01/w...able-mutation/
More of Japan is infected then they'd like to let on, Japanese are prideful people so they remain their ground and control over a situation. One thing to keep in mind though is the situation could have been a lot worse. The plant itself was amazingly designed with I believe 4 safety methods to turn off the power if needed, but sadly they all failed. I can't find the link but off the top of my head I believe one was to flood the power source, use a coolant, turn the evaporated water back into water to continuously have a supply of water to cool the system. It may have just been three, but all three failed, the reason it failed was a combination of a tsunami and quake hitting them at the same time, it caused a breach in the container which caused the the container itself to lose the water that would have been used to cool down the energy source. Had the hull not been breached then they would have been able to contain the situation completely but even with countless safety measures a leakage still occured.
If you don't think it's bad in Japan then look at these links

I mean heck I didn't even know Japan was making it a mission to shut down all their nuclear power plants but it looks like they shut them all down because of what happened back in 2011.
The real news you have to seek for yourself, it can't trust just be one source but look from all perspectives. If you base your info on fox news and CNN you are most likely getting news which is pushing their ideals rather then an actual analytical view of the news. Ya I know, if we can't trust big corporations then who can we trust XD.
No one wants to admit it though we all want to think everything is nice and safe but the sad reality is the semileakage which occurred is gonna be a long lasting effect that may be around for a few years before it fades away. If things weren't that bad then japan wouldn't have made it a mission to shut down all their nuclear plants.

I do apologize for that huge tangent from the main topic but on a lighter note, I think it might be better if Rein didn't translate the story, we'd end up getting no-name characters with the Description's of "Man with leopard subligars" and "Subligarless Man". And whenever given the chance he would try to fit the word subligar into the sentence. Rather then something like "Garuda is a mighty foe not even a well armored fighter can escape her viscous claws" it would be "Garuda is a mighty foe, if you fight with just your subligars on you'll be in a world of pain."
lol of course all jokes though XD but see that would be adding "flavor" to the text of localizing.
^^ i know that news is just that she worded in a way that mentioning that the entire population is infected.
Not to mention my little sister is staying there right now... and still safe.. so yea, that is why im a bit pitchy with someone saying as if the entire world is engulf in flames thinggie.
They're actually using way too much vocabulary right now. They need someone with a more limited point of view.
(The same goes for the cutscene acting, it's overdone as well.)
how much is the salary?
While I appreciate REINHEART's translations. B4 you consider such a position or nominate someone...make sure you understand that localization translation is not the mere act of translating text from one language to another.
Especially for localization, there is an artistic voice that needs to be conveyed. From the point of characters with unique dialect and voices to translating within confines of file sizes or number of words or characters.
Simply not the mere act of taking a language and translating it for understanding is enough...
That is all I want to say. For everyone applying for the position I wish you the best.
hahahahahaha, what is wrong with all of you? i just made a thread letting Reinheart know we appreciate him, its not like im forcing him to take the job, lol, he already said he cant take the job, thats good enough i appreciate every translation that he does especially in those days that we didnt even know wich way the game was taking, and i hope he keeps the translations coming, besides if i didnt made this thread Rokien would have, so....
If only it were localising from German, not Japanese, I'd totally be applying.
Alas, my choice of languages...
